RINO weakling Kevin McCarthy is hoping to take the gavel from Nancy Pelosi in the upcoming Congress. But McCarthy does not have the votes to win the Speakership. According to Gateway Pundit sources, there are 10 Republican holdouts who WILL NOT vote for Kevin McCarthey precisely because they do not believe he is a fighter and up for the job of Speaker of the House. On Friday the Biden regime announced a new garbage Special Counsel probing into President Trump on charges that he left the White House

Dems war game and plan ahead. Since few if any legislators actually read the budget, appropriations or legislation they pass, funding for it was probably already appropriated. Or, they'll do it in upcoming budget and call it by another name. This Special Counsel Investigation is just one more stop on the never-ending 'stop Trump' train. :(

Can't Biden just sign another executive order designating funds for it? Division of powers means nothing to these creeps.

Biden may be able to use a contingency war fund controlled by president to keep DOJ counsel going. I believe Bill Clinton did the same for another event.

No funding for a special counsel. No funding for 87,000 new IRS agents. And $5 billion (a fraction of what we've already sent to Ukraine) to finish the wall.

Chances are McCarthy will have no say as to Special Counsel funding. As the Democrats will pass that funding, and a lot more partisan funding, before the new Congress is sworn in during January. No doubt a bunch of never Trump establishment Republicans and outright RINOS will vote for as much Democrat funding bills as possible to indefinitely investigate Trump.

MTG is naive if she takes him at his word. Smart move would be for the holdouts to make a list of demands for McCarthy's tenure before they'll vote for him, with the threat of holding everything up in committee if he reneges.

Despite the Mueller farce, defunding the police when it comes to our investigating side is not likely to play well with the majority of voters. Getting Garland out of the mix is a win for both parties.

Greetings, and Happy Thanksgiving y'all! Many of you may recognize the title of this missive which came from NY Yankees baseball great Yogi Berra. It basically means experiencing something that you have already experienced. In the aftermath of the 2022 midterm elections, this is an appropriate application of Berra's quote. We have indeed been in the position, not too long ago. As a matter of fact, during the 2010 midterm election cycle-- the first for Barack Obama -- the numerical result regarding congressional seats was what some may have thought would trend in this 2022 midterm cycle. No, I am not talking about 63 seats, but many felt that there would be a number between 25-35 that could have flipped. The end result, though, is still the same:
Has the GOP Learned Anything After the Midterms? 1 reply

The congressional midterm elections are thankfully over. Predictions of a red wave, including by yours truly, didn’t materialize. Instead, it was more of a pink trickle with the GOP flipping the House. The Senate is still up for grabs, with the best outcome for the GOP being a 50-50 split, depending on the Georgia run-off results. Red wave predictions made sense at the time, given President Biden’s unpopularity and incompetence, leading to a declining America. This includes 40-year high inflation, a recession, open borders, energy shortages, supply chain disruptions, World War III simmering in Ukraine, and a woke culture ruining the lives of children and families.

Trip over the truth? Oh, no, they wouldn’t recognize that if they tripped over it. They got ratioed for their silliness, and they look even more biased with their actions. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) telling people to “stop” taking ivermectin for COVID-19 was informal and just a recommendation, government lawyers argued during a recent hearing. “The cited statements were not directives. They were not mandatory. They were recommendations. They said what parties should do. They said, for example, why you should not take ivermectin to treat COVID-19. They did not say you may not do it, you must not do it. They did not say it’s prohibited or it’s unlawful. They also did not say that doctors may not prescribe ivermectin,” Isaac Belfer, one of the lawyers, told the court during the Nov. 1 hearing in federal court
