On Sunday’s CNN Newsroom, host Fredricka Whitfield brought on Allan Lichtman, a left-wing history professor from American University to smear the Republican Party as being “out of step” and suggesting the GOP is on the verge of extinction by saying “this may be their last chance to revamp the party.” After the disappointing electoral performance Republicans had on Tuesday, there has been talk of Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis running in 2024 because of his landslide reelection victory. Lichtman made sure to shoot down the idea of Ron DeSantis being a more appealing alternative to former President Donald Trump. Whitfield asked Lichtman

If CTH had a small part in helping people to reset their reference points around modern electioneering, well, that’s a good thing. The difference between “ballots” and “votes” is previously explained {SEE HERE} and absolutely critical to understand before moving forward. Thankfully a large percentage of conservatives, intellectually honest independents and even some establishment republican donors have read our research and are now starting to have the ‘votes‘ vs ‘ballots‘ conversation. That understanding is critical, because any conversation that does not accurately identify and accept the problem is futile.CORRECTIONS*

New York City voters approved three ballot questions on Tuesday concerning race proposed by the city's Racial Justice Commission. Former NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio established the commission in 2021 as a "temporary appointed government body that is tasked with reviewing the entire City Charter and proposing amendments," according to the commission’s 2021 final report. One of the ballot measures approved in the Nov. 8 election creates a permanent Office of Racial Equity within the city government, along with a Racial Equity Commission to establish priorities and "review agency and citywide Racial Equity Plans." Another ballot measure added a preamble

The old axiom where someone yells, “look over there folks, shiny things“… as a process of distraction, is entirely apropos of how corporations that are running our current election systems are using the Trump -v- DeSantis discussion; with the backdrop of the 2022 midterm election as context.
So, before moving forward to the heart of what we are being distracted from, check out this article from David Solway, he’s correct. Unless and until the critical issue of “votes” -vs- “ballots” is corrected, pushing DeSantis into the war against the administrative state is akin to throwing a decent general into a lost war.

Rep. Jamie Raskin discusses the "political contamination of the GOP by Donald Trump" and warns that a Republican majority could make the former president the Speaker of the House.
"They talk about it repeatedly. And if Trump decided he wanted to do it, it would pose a profound problem for their party," Raskin told CBS's "Face The Nation."
MARGARET BRENNAN: Election deniers didn't prevail in the key battleground, but CBS tallied it and at least 155 House Republicans in the new Congress have raised unfounded doubts about the validity or integrity of the 2020 election.

As RedState reported, crypto-exchange FTX collapsed after its much-lauded founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, appeared to make improper transfers of customer money. Somewhere between $1-2 billion of that amount has now gone missing and Bankman-Fried also has disappeared. What makes this so interesting, though, isn’t just that a lot of really wealthy people got scammed. It’s that Bankman-Fried also happens to be one of the top donors to the Democratic Party. In fact, outside of George Soros, no one has done more to bankroll Democrat efforts since the 2020 election. Joe Biden alone received a whopping $5.2 million.

The advent of alternative media has created a whole new world when it comes to disseminating information. But not everyone is happy about this – particularly members of the activist media.
Elon Musk ruffled more than a few feathers when he took over social media company Twitter. But when he tweeted about his vision of making the platform friendlier towards average citizens participating in journalism, at least some members of the once-vaunted fourth estate took umbrage.
On Friday, Musk tweeted:
As Twitter pursues the goal of elevating citizen journalism, media elite will try everything to stop that from happening.

Thanks to commenters like Surviving the Billionaire Wars and Ray So-cal, for pointing out links for the developing FTX scandal. This FTX story may have some legs, although the usual suspects are probably already busy covering the trail. The principle governing this is, again, a simple one. Crypto is a fraud, probably designed as such for special purposes. Therefore, expect fraud almost everywhere you look in that field, and especially when large amounts of money are involved.

Though NBC News cannot project control of the House at this time, the Decision Desk has released its estimate for the U.S. House of Representatives as a whole, which reflects the most probable outcome for partisan control.
To arrive at the House Estimate, the NBC News Decision Desk calculates the probability of a Democratic, Republican or third-party victory in each of the 435 individual House races based on pre-election research. On election night, election analysts examine all the available vote data in real time, adjusting the probabilities for each House race accordingly. Based on those probabilities, NBC News’ Decision Desk then calculates the most probable outcome

With the ruling D.C. establishment having successfully beaten back the midterm election challenges to their unchecked power by congressional candidates who were supported by former President Donald J. Trump, the job now turns to snuffing out the MAGA movement and, in the eyes of many, two former leaders with much in common will be spearheading the effort.
Two of Trump’s fellow White House alumni Barack Obama and George W. Bush will be holding back-to-back “democracy” conferences following the expected announcement that he will be officially declaring a 2024 presidential run, something that the corrupt uniparty appears to be determined to prevent at all costs.

PHILADELPHIA—Call it “the White Wave.” A flood of white envelopes containing mail-in ballots lofted Democrat candidates to victories in several key Nov. 8 races.
Case in point: Democrat John Fetterman will occupy Pennsylvania’s coveted U.S. Senate seat instead of Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz.
In that race—and several others—mail-in ballots acted as a breaker against the “Red Wave” of wins that Republican leaders had hoped would wash across the nation at a time when Congress and the White House are both Democrat-controlled.

It has seemed that they’re slow-walking the calls for the outstanding races in the House, even when some of them are separated by more than a couple of points. It’s five days after the election and we still don’t know the results for control of the House. I last updated this two days ago. But if there’s anything that needs to be addressed going forward, it’s this concept being pushed that it’s somehow normal to take “days” or even “weeks” to get to a result in the election.
We now have another official call from Decision Desk in the OR-5 race. Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer defeats Democrat Jamie McLeod-Skinner, 51.4 to 48.86.

The election last week defied reality.
For example, John Fetterman, the Democrat who won the U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania, promised more inflationary spending, more lenient treatment of felons amid a violent crime wave and more of the left’s radical, parent-dissing sexual agenda. Yet he won. Do you really believe that a majority of Pennsylvanians voted for a stroke-damaged, hard-core leftist who comes across as a professional wrestling villain? Celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz was not the strongest Republican candidate and was perceived by many as a RINO. But he should have prevailed in an election in which Democrats had to defend the Biden train wreck.

Harris’s sister program in San Francisco allowed first-time drug offenders to take high school classes and get a job, rather than go to prison.

Returns are not counted for days. It is intolerable for a modern democracy to wait and wait for all sorts of ballots both cast and counted under radically different and sometimes dubious conditions.
The Democrats – with overwhelming media and money advantages – have mastered these arts of massive and unprecedented early, mail-in, and absentee voting. Old-fashioned Republicans count on riling up their voters to show up on Election Day. But it is far easier to finesse and control the mail-in ballots than to ‘get out the vote.’

Surveying the wreckage of the disappointing Republican midterms, voters were left scratching their heads, trying to figure out what went wrong. With the fundamentals being as bad as they were this year, Republicans underperformed expectations, and it was fairly obvious that they would experience no red wave by early in the evening on Election Night.
While I've seen plenty of postmortems already, the single biggest issue that wrecked the wave was mail-in voting combined with ballot-harvesting, which all but eliminated Republican hopes in states where Democrats control the voting rules. This is why Senate polls were so wrong in these states.

Election Day is increasingly looking like election month, and frankly, unless state residents under our federal system get control of this, I see no end to it. In the worst cases, ballots are emailed to everyone who has ever been registered to vote whether or not they’ve died or moved away, faulty ballot printing results in valid ballots being tossed, equipment failures misregister votes, ballot drop boxes are left unmonitored, and so on -- all of which contribute to an atmosphere in which corruption flourishes. The more this happens, the more voters believe they cannot vote themselves out of policies and politicians with which they disagree.

The details are beyond me, but the concept seems pretty simple. The legislature of a powerful government—call it ‘the US Congress’—authorizes payment of tens of billions of dollars to the Ukrainian government to help them fight Russia. Ukraine skims at least some of that money—remember, it’s tens of billions—and sends the skim to FTX, which is already active sending bitcoin to Ukraine. FTX, through its founder Sam Blankman-Fried, then becomes a major donor (second only to George Soros) to the dominant political party of that powerful foreign government (call the party ‘Dems’) that supported Ukraine

Is Peggy Noonan back in the driver’s seat? The title and argument of her Wall Street Journal column Thursday made me wonder. “Maybe Republicans Will Finally Learn,” she intoned, explaining in a subhead, “If they aren’t serious about policy, they’ll nominate Trump in 2024 and lose a fourth straight election.”
By “Peggy Noonan,” I do not just mean that particular columnist. I mean the generators of The Narrative tout court. As a paid-up member of the establishment, Noonan has long been a Trump opponent.
