Sheesh, that escalated quickly. Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.), a man who chooses to use a portrait of himself wearing a mask as his Twitter profile picture (which tells you everything you need to know about his mental state), reacted like an angry child today after Elon Musk absolutely owned him in a tweet regarding the state of Twitter’s rocky rollout of the new Blue verification process. It started when Markey opined on the ongoing turbulence concerning Twitter’s new verification system, which Musk has repeatedly admitted was in the process of being fixed and polished. The big news is that moments ago the Associated Press called two races in Arizona for the GOP. David Schweikert wins in AZ-1: And in AZ-6, Juan Ciscomani wins. That brings the GOP tally to 214 seats. The AP also called Oregon’s 6th district for Democrat Andrea Salinas which brings the Dems tally to 205 seats. That leaves 16 races uncalled.

In the first school board election since the Loudoun County School Board made national news regarding critical race theory and its attempted rape cover-up, conservative candidate Tiffany Polifko unseated the liberal incumbent.
Polifko became the projected winner against incumbent Andrew Hoyler on Monday evening after outstanding ballots were counted.
Last week, Polifko also led Democrat Nick Gothard by 135 votes — who came in second and has conceded — in a tight three-way race.
Polfiko ran on a pro-parent platform, while Gothard was supportive of many of the school board’s recent controversial measures that cut parents out of the process.

Elon Musk’s Twitter has slashed its contract workforce by 80 percent with none of the company’s internal teams being notified in advance.
CNBC reports that according to internal communications from full-time Twitter employees sent to outlet, more than 4,000 contract workers had their jobs terminated this weekend after losing access to Slack and other work systems. According to Platformer, which first reported on the terminations, about 4,400 of the 5,500 Twitter contractors were fired. Twitter used contractors based in various locations, including India. Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo — most well-known for going against the medical establishment when it comes to mask mandates, coronavirus vaccine mandates, and transgender surgeries and therapies — will return for Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) second term in office, the governor announced Monday.

Following the dismal midterm showing, there’s a lot of blame to go around. Considering that we still have a long time before the primaries and then the 2024 election, this kind of decision-making is premature and dangerous—and that’s why we’re being forced into it.

The day is coming–rather soon, I think–when the current mania for drugging adolescents and carving up their bodies will be viewed with horror as one of the great crimes of our century. The costs of the “trans” fad have already become evident, to the point where the New York Times wants to position itself somewhere in the middle.
The Times story is headlined: “They Paused Puberty, but Is There a Cost?” Good question! The subhed: “Puberty blockers can ease transgender youths’ anguish and buy time to weigh options. But concerns are growing about long-term physical effects and other consequences.”
