Democrats Beware: Investigations Are Coming

Despite the lack of a red wave, Republicans are still on track to win control of the U.S. House of Representatives. And with that control comes the power of oversight, which has been sadly lacking since Biden took office. On Friday, Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), the ranking Republican on the Oversight Committee, told guest host Pete Hegseth on Jesse Waters Primetime that, when he becomes chair of the committee in January, his top priority will be investigating Hunter Biden, Dr. Anthony Fauci’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the border crisis. “There’s so much for you to oversee on the Oversight Committee,” Hegseth began. “Where does this rank in the priority?

If the Mainstream Enemedia are mute on the investigations, trees will be falling in the forest with no sound. MSM will pay attention only if it's something that suits their purpose.

Oh, stop with these investigations. They take years and by that time either nobody cares or all the evidence has been disposed of... well, make that "wiped clean, as with a cloth?" High hopes, time after time, year after year. Then, nothing. Why bother? If you think Hunter Biden will EVER be indicted or even officially accused of anything, you must be a red tsunami believer. We need to focus on trying to convince the public that we have a better way to run our hobbled country.

Clearly the Democrats with the liberal media as their propaganda arm are not afraid of any so-called investigations that the wimpy Congressional Republicans will pursue. The Democrats know that with “insider” RINOS backing, that they will be able to stop any wimpy Republican efforts to convict and remove any corrupt Democrats from office.

Investigations are fine, but we have been told many times that Congress can do nothing but refer their findings to the DOJ. I would wonder that Merrick Garland is going to take any action on any referrals from Congress, not having done so far. Will the Republicans be issuing subpoenas this time around?

Nothing here, this isn’t the evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors committed by the Biden Crime Syndicate that you are looking for. Move along.

Yeah, right. Rinos are just the covert branch of the democratic socialist robber barons running out country and the world. They'll keep sending billions to Ukraine, where it can be laundered and slipped back into their Cayman accounts. We watched the "get rid of 0bama care" investigations the rinos ran for years--you don't think we learned how it works? We've still got 0bama care, right?

I’ve seen a lot of rationales being tossed around for why the Republicans didn’t win more despite what all the polls and data points suggested. I must confess, I’m not particularly satisfied with any of the answers I’ve seen. Yes, could some candidates have been better? No doubt. But Democrats got John Fetterman in and even voted for a dead man. So let’s not even pretend the quality of the candidate or even being alive truly matters. If you voted in Fetterman, it’s all based on wanting power for your party, no matter what. Did Sen Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) take some money away from races

I wrote earlier about the dustup between Sen. Ed Markey (D-WA) and Elon Musk but there are a few more points that I wanted to hit on. Markey blamed Musk for a Washington Post reporter impersonating Markey with a fake account with a blue check mark. Now, I wrote about some of the confusion created by the Twitter Blue subscription, by people getting blue checks by paying for the service. Yes, that created some questions and Musk suspended the service to work out the kinks and reports are that it will likely be coming back next week. While Markey wanted to blame the impersonation on Musk,

Her message was that because the Democrats have majority control of the Senate after the results of the race in Nevada were called yesterday, control of the senate is “hugely consequential” for Biden’s success in the coming two years. “He believes that at the end of the day, there are going to be things that Republicans and Democrats can work on together as they did over the last two years,” Dunn said in an interview with “Face the Nation,” referring to the president. “Control of the Senate is hugely

On Sunday’s CNN Newsroom, host Fredricka Whitfield brought on Allan Lichtman, a left-wing history professor from American University to smear the Republican Party as being “out of step” and suggesting the GOP is on the verge of extinction by saying “this may be their last chance to revamp the party.” After the disappointing electoral performance Republicans had on Tuesday, there has been talk of Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis running in 2024 because of his landslide reelection victory. Lichtman made sure to shoot down the idea of Ron DeSantis being a more appealing alternative to former President Donald Trump. Whitfield asked Lichtman

As RedState reported, crypto-exchange FTX collapsed after its much-lauded founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, appeared to make improper transfers of customer money. Somewhere between $1-2 billion of that amount has now gone missing and Bankman-Fried also has disappeared. What makes this so interesting, though, isn’t just that a lot of really wealthy people got scammed. It’s that Bankman-Fried also happens to be one of the top donors to the Democratic Party. In fact, outside of George Soros, no one has done more to bankroll Democrat efforts since the 2020 election. Joe Biden alone received a whopping $5.2 million.

Though NBC News cannot project control of the House at this time, the Decision Desk has released its estimate for the U.S. House of Representatives as a whole, which reflects the most probable outcome for partisan control. To arrive at the House Estimate, the NBC News Decision Desk calculates the probability of a Democratic, Republican or third-party victory in each of the 435 individual House races based on pre-election research. On election night, election analysts examine all the available vote data in real time, adjusting the probabilities for each House race accordingly. Based on those probabilities, NBC News’ Decision Desk then calculates the most probable outcome

We may only be a few days past the last election, but the talk of 2024 is already heating up on both sides. Donald Trump is expected to announce yet another run for president on Tuesday. Opinions on how successful it will be have varied wildly, but we’ll have nearly two years to find out. What about Joe Biden, though? He’s been all over the place when asked about running for re-election, with his resolve seeming to harden over the summer leading up to the 2022 election. After Republicans unexpectedly got shellacked, the assumption then moved to it being assured. Why wouldn’t Biden run again? He just dodged

The “Red Trickle” continues in the House with Republicans inching toward a majority. As of 7 a.m. CST on Sunday, Republicans are assured of winning 214 seats in the House with the Democrats winning 210, according to CBS News. That leaves 11 seats still to be decided, most of them in California, where five days after the in-person voting ended, nine races remain to be called. PHILADELPHIA—Call it “the White Wave.” A flood of white envelopes containing mail-in ballots lofted Democrat candidates to victories in several key Nov. 8 races. Case in point: Democrat John Fetterman will occupy Pennsylvania’s coveted U.S. Senate seat instead of Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz. In that race—and several others—mail-in ballots acted as a breaker against the “Red Wave” of wins that Republican leaders had hoped would wash across the nation at a time when Congress and the White House are both Democrat-controlled.

Surveying the wreckage of the disappointing Republican midterms, voters were left scratching their heads, trying to figure out what went wrong. With the fundamentals being as bad as they were this year, Republicans underperformed expectations, and it was fairly obvious that they would experience no red wave by early in the evening on Election Night. While I've seen plenty of postmortems already, the single biggest issue that wrecked the wave was mail-in voting combined with ballot-harvesting, which all but eliminated Republican hopes in states where Democrats control the voting rules. This is why Senate polls were so wrong in these states.

Election Day is increasingly looking like election month, and frankly, unless state residents under our federal system get control of this, I see no end to it. In the worst cases, ballots are emailed to everyone who has ever been registered to vote whether or not they’ve died or moved away, faulty ballot printing results in valid ballots being tossed, equipment failures misregister votes, ballot drop boxes are left unmonitored, and so on -- all of which contribute to an atmosphere in which corruption flourishes. The more this happens, the more voters believe they cannot vote themselves out of policies and politicians with which they disagree.
