After watching the debacle on Tuesday night, I did my own post-mortem of what happened. I lay the blame on three major factors: The Republican elites, the American public, and early voting.
The Republican Elites
By far the most important factor is the Republican elites. In 2020, the GOPe was almost as glad as the Dems to be rid of Donald Trump, so they ignored and denied the massive vote fraud that swept Joe Biden into office.
After Biden’s many undistinguished years in the Senate, they convinced themselves that he was their friend and would work with them, in other words, “he’s one of us….” With a few notable exceptions, they

The GOPe is precisely why I take no comfort in a slim majority in either the house or the senate. We have so many in there that have be bought and paid for; or are beholding to Turtle for their campaign gifts; or that are waiting in line for their chance to run for president.
If you don't believe me, just watch them vote for Kevin McCarthy. Someone who is not owned would vote for Scalise, who was enough of a threat that they tried to kill him.

This author is delusional. We lost because of the Trumpification of the Republican Party. I am furious about this blown opportunity. Take NY, the only thing Hochul had to run on was Zeldin's ties to Trump and his buying into the 2020 election nonsense. The Dems threw us a high hanging curveball that we should have knocked out of the park. Instead, we dribbled infield single.
Keep making excuses for him and rationalizing with wacky conspiracy theories, and we will find ourselves with another four years of a Democrat in the White House.

The Never-Trumpers are just too funny. When the GOPe leadership actively undermines and defunds the ballot representatives of their own party and then blames Trump for the failure of these candidates it should be a self-evident lesson on how not to win elections. But, NO. It's TRUMP'S FAULT! How dare he drop in and completely ruin our globalist agenda and put the left on notice that there really is a decent argument for economic nationalism! We'll show him and his ilk! Ignoring obvious cheating in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, etc., while still clinging to the GOPe life raft of the perfect fairness of the 2020 election is a symptom of the obvious GOPe Trump Derangement Syndrome that inseparably unites and allies them them with the left. The fact is that The Turtle and McMarx really didn't want to deal with more Freedom Caucus members in the House and more "rogue" conservatives in the Senate who actually believe and would work for smaller government, reduced regulation, controlled immigration, revival of domestic industry, reduced taxation, etc. So, they sabotaged them.
Should Trump stuff a sock in it with guys like DeSantis and picking absolutely AWFUL candidates like Mehmet Oz? Oh, yeah he should. How about the rather obvious cheating in the 2020 election? Well, it is water under the bridge at this point but to shut up about it is to acquiesce to it. Take a different tack. Should he go away? Nope. We need to send these establishment types and their hand-picked "conservatives" packing but we keep having them stuffed down our throats by state party establishments that are as hard to beat as cancer and do at least as much damage. The only way to do this is to continue giving the disingenuous saboteurs of the so-called "conservative" establishment a hot foot.

Here 's why the GOP basically had no red wave. Lucy pulled the football away from Charlie Brown again. Every election
cycle we get our hopes up...that this time it is going to be different. No it is not. We will probably take the house because the dems will allow us to. They really need someone to blame all the misery on that is definitely coming our way. We all believed the hype that a red tsunami is coming...just how big is yet to be determined.
My prediction is...there is no way we take the Senate as well. They will blame Trump for every failure. My new love Kari Lake will mysteriously lose despite the avalanche of expected voters in Maricopa County.
We did not see a red wave because we like being in 2nd place and that's the way it has always been and that is what the D-rats wanted all along.

The Democrats no doubt bought millions of votes by way of Biden’s unconstitutional scheme to do away with all or substantial amounts of the federal student loans owed by about 24 million young people, that has now been stopped in the federal courts. Resulting in the young voter percentages being away up in the midterm election. Today since the election is over Biden could give a crap about forgiving those student loan amounts and will simply blame the MAGA Republicans for the demise of that bogus loan forgiveness attempt. Then add on the Democrats leaking the probable result of the in progress abortion case that was pending before the Supreme Court to energize millions of women voters who support abortion on demand, that no doubt caused an increase in those women’s votes for the Democrats. Then you have Biden coming out in his speeches calling out the MAGA Republicans as being White Supremacist racists to try to shore up minority votes. There really was very little establishment Republican response to those issues, that makes you think that the establishment Republican leadership in the Congress is fine with playing second fiddle to Biden and the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats. So how long are you going to wonder why the bogus so-called red wave was nothing more than a mirage? Also 48 States have long finished counting their election results. Two States, Arizona and Nevada have not. They say maybe next week those States will finally have their election results tabulated. That of course gives the Democrats more than enough time to figure out how many bogus votes they will need to find to overcome any vote advantage by Republican candidates. What a joke!

We lose because the GOPe, especially McConnell, do whatever it takes to help the Democrats when, whether it is turning a blind eye to election fraud or defunding a conservative to keep them from winning. Masters, Lake, and a few others made a very impressive showing for having to fight against the Dems and the GOPe together.

If you have a Dimmocrat Governor and State Legislature you’re guaranteed to have rigged elections because the Dimms control the entire vote process. The way to cure this in to sic the DOJ on these corrupt states and prosecute them. That ain’t gonna happen with a Dimmocrat in the WH. Only Trump has the guts to call them out…and as President he’d go after them. The Dimms know this and they are petrified that Trump knows where all of “the bodies are buried”. The GOP needs to become as ruthless as the Dimms and Trump is the ONLY person who, if given the total and complete support of his party, can defeat them once and for all. #MAGA!

Largely agree with the article. Not sure we should call what is happening in Washington governing anymore. it's all about greed and corruption.
Washington's slogan should be 'Keep the money flowing!'.
Watching the Fox news page, it seems the Republicans have stalled out. 49 Senate seats, and 211 House seats. All the remaining races seem to have the same problem: They don't know how to count and are taking days to accomplish a simple task. If there really is voter fraud on the scale to steal multiple elections, and it certainly looks like it, prove it in a court of law. The voter fraud appears to be massive which means many people know about it. The only reason it's not being proven is because the Republican party wants to let it happen.
In a terrible economy, no way so many should have been re-elected, yet they were. Why? Because so many are collecting money directly or indirectly from the government. They are protecting their investment. How do people like Biden and Obama win? it's not because of their personalities. It's because people are looking at government policies and not the candidate. Follow the money! The American voter follows it all the way to the voting booth. Also, the American voter is easily influenced (dumb and dishonest). That's why issues like Trump hatred, climate change, and social justice gain traction and work.
Personally, I am OK with the election results. Our government has wrecked the country. When they should be running for the hills, but they have become greedy and are trying to grab up every last penny. Good! Let them! They will be solely responsible when the country collapses, and it will. Last thing I want are the thieves to get off the hook.
I never saw the so-called red wave. I just had to look at the 2020 election results and realize nothing had changed. Why would there be a red wave? People aren't looking at the economy, and the thieves in power are hanging on with an iron fist.
This cannot last folks. The end result is inevitable.

Smith ignored a fourth factor. Surveillance. While it is very true that the American public has been fed a steady diet of leftism since being old enough to walk, surveillance is the key factor. The left knows who we talk to, and where, how, why, and to whom we communicate our politics. Of course, social media is a primary method of surveillance. But, even at the major news salons such as Lucianne.com, there are a large number of trolls, site pests, and mules who are here every minute of every day to monitor and catalog our strategies and opinions and bring our insights back to the leftist intelligencia. This is why we must all be careful to not disclose personal information about ourselves when commenting here.

In order for cheating to work, the democrats must already have had a certain level of legitimate votes. They were willingly supplied by the half of the American people who are stone-cold stupid. Imagine placing the false specter of losing future abortion rights over the idea of ruining the American economy, flooding the country with illegal immigrant parasites and turning our lives into the final chapters of Atlas Shrugged. Of course democrats are going to cheat, they have had decades of practice in refining the art. So Donald Trump called a few people names? Big deal. The names I have for most of them would not be printable.

I agree with others, the 4th reason, election fraud. Once again we are seeing the election stolen right before our eyes with this continuous "ballot counting." Tucker Carlson had an interesting statistic the other night. Where these election "counting" soirees occur, 70 percent of the time they result in the election of a democrat. Now statistically, someone, tell me that can happen? As Tucker said, shouldn't it be more like 50-50?
No ladies and gentlemen, this election was stolen very subtly. Each election the global deep state, democrats, media refine the steal. They screwed up with Philadelphia in 2016 when Trump won and they vowed never to allow that to happen again. Then in 2020, it was so obvious that any attempt at a real investigation had to be crushed and anyone daring to even discuss the steal had to be destroyed. So by 2022, they got much, much better. Much more subtle. I think this election is being stolen they way 2020 was. With all of a sudden dumped ballots showing up. There have been incidents already where there are more ballots than voters. Also, I truly believe, that the Dominion and other computer aided voting can and is changing votes in the back end. We never really had any discovery in the few Dominion cases that were brought. Heck, I think Rudy Giuliani is still being sued by these criminals.
I fear we will not have free and fair elections ever again until someone truly investigates, publicizes, and people wake up that their country is being taken away in many ways, with rigged elections being the coup de grace.

2. Kevin "La La California Rino" McCarthy
3. Ronna "Romney Rino" McDaniel
One of the above posters was correct --- '2 years to do something but NOTHING" Frankly it's been more like 6+ years, Trump was the only one who gave a rip about country. The rest of you are just parasites.

Oh sure, Kathy Barnette would have beaten Fetterman, really? Such hostility to Oz. As for who blew it, I blame McConnell with his negative talk about the R senate candidates. You never hear Dems badmouthing their own - even when they deserve it. McCarthy and McDaniel for not even making any attempt to counter the Left's obsession with abortion. Doss didn't outlaw it but that never got explain to those low info young, female voters.
As for Trump - he isn't on the ballot and it's not his responsibility to win Congress back to the Rs - he's out of office (for now).

I have never seen such a dysfunctional bunch as the "my way or the highway" republican party members. No Democrat ever criticizes another Democrat, but the Republicans eat their own. No more contributions to the current losing cause. Fight the enemy not yourselves. Absentee ballot voting is not what it was intended for. It is too easily manipulated. It was for those that truly could not get toa polling place.

We are often encouraged on these pages to look to the simple solution first. In the case of the Red Wave That Wasn't, Tuesday's election and the now routine slow-walking of election results in the blue states, has anyone seriously considered that the "good guys" are no longer the majority population of this country?
Perhaps the results of the democrat's population replacement scheme are having the desired effect. Could it be that there are now more voters attracted to Marxism and big government? Maybe the enemy is more the Nanny State rather than the Deep State? Whether you only support Trump or are a loyal voting Republican, activism visible in the streets on the side of the right is non-existent, and was absent even before the democrat trap that was the Jan 6 "rally." The left can flood the streets burning and looting with impunity, while the right is busy pointing fingers and throwing stones at each other, which reminds me of a few lines out of a 1970 Joe South song that seem to apply to us here today:
"So unless you've lived a life
Of total perfection
You better be careful of every stone
That you should throw, yeah
And yet we spend the day throwing stones
At one another
'Cause I don't think or wear my hair
The same way you do
Well, I may be common people
But I'm your brother
And when you strike out and try to hurt me
It's hurtin' you, Lord have mercy
Walk a mile in my shoes..."

Where's the BLUE WAVE? With the greatest media propaganda machine in the history, they will actually lose House seats, and more or less break even in the Senate and with governors. Think about, this was a Democratic disaster, not a Republican disaster. Democrats had two years to win voters with their agenda and they didn't. 'Where's the RED WAVE' is a media campaign to distract from Democratic losses in the House. When you control the media, you control the narrative. The House is a great indicator of the direction of the voters and we a shift away from liberal policies. The nation is split morally, culturally, socially, spiritually and philosophically so any shift is significant.
