Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) went after Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) during Tuesday night’s New York gubernatorial debate when the incumbent refused to name a single restriction on abortion she supports, and seemed to promote abortion after a woman’s sixth month of pregnancy.
“Are there any restrictions around abortions you would approve of?” a debate moderator asked the Democrat point-blank. “What we have in New York state is simply a codification of Roe v. Wade, so what has been out there since …

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, has signed two bills into law that will limit who is eligible to become a peace officer, even as many cities across the Golden State struggle with police shortages. Critics say the new laws will create an “ideological purity test,” preventing some conservatives and Christians from joining already-strapped police forces.
Newsom on Sept. 30 signed AB 655, which bars Californians who previously had been members of a “hate group” or involved in “hate group activity” (in the past seven years) from police service. It remains unclear when the law will go into effect.

U.S. leaders have amassed a long track record of deception about Washington’s international objectives and the nature of U.S. foreign clients. Modest or even minor threats and disruptions became supposed existential threats to America’s security, as well as threats to regional or world order, in Washington’s overwrought propaganda narratives. In addition, multiple administrations routinely whitewashed the record of authoritarian foreign clients. Thus, autocrats such as Nicaragua’s Anastasio Somoza Debayle, Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak, and ugly extremists, such as Syria’s Sunni Jihadists, all became honorary members of the “Free World.”

Republican Congressman Tom Emmer has ambitions of being the third-highest GOP member if they win a majority in the midterms. Did his ambition make him commit a tactical error by attacking Tucker Carlson’s son, a staffer for Emmer’s biggest competitor?
Tucker seems to think so and lashed out at Emmer in leaked conversations. According to Axios:
An irate Tucker Carlson phoned Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.), chairman of the House Republican campaign committee, with an ultimatum on Friday.

A week ago, Colorado senate republican candidate Joe O’Dea said on CNN, “I don’t think Donald Trump should run again.” He quickly added, ” I’m going to actively campaign against Donald Trump and make sure that we have got four or five really great Republicans right now; Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley and Tim Scott.”
President Trump blasted O’Dea the following day. Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis picked Joe O’Dea as his only 2022 endorsed senate candidate, recording a robocall for O’Dea that says, “Hello this is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. America needs strong leadership and desperately. That’s why I’m endorsing Joe O’Dea for U.S. Senate. Colorado, please vote for Joe O’Dea.”

The 2022 midterm elections have brought some specific races into the spotlight, and one of them is in my home state of Georgia, where football great Herschel Walker is running a tight race against incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.). One of the biggest complaints that the left (and some on the right) has leveled against Walker is that he’s dumb, but that’s simply not true. He may not have the silver tongue of some candidates — including Warnock, who uses his oratorical skills to advocate for policies that fly in the face of his pastoral duties — but Walker isn’t unintelligent.

The ruling class has failed immensely. The last two years are proof, but with each passing day, one wonders: Are America’s elites plunging into madness? That’s a dead serious question. With their madness may go our lives. That’s dead serious, too.
Joe Biden spoke the other day about the possibility of nuclear “Armageddon.” With cataclysm in mind, Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services spent $290 million on anti-radiation drugs. Uncle Sam makes plenty of wasteful expenditures, but is this one?

Democrat Rep. Tim Ryan doubled down on his comments from earlier in the year calling to “kill and confront” MAGA while specifically targeting J.D. Vance in his rhetoric during the debate on Monday night.
In the heated debate between his Republican candidate, Ryan was confronted and asked to explain his comments earlier in the year when he told MSNBC’s Morning Joe that the “exhausted majority” needed to “kill and confront” the extremist Republican movement.

President Donald Trump focused on the drug cartels and human traffickers pouring across the southern border in a fiery speech in Mesa, Arizona, on Sunday night.
“The cartels and human traffickers have seen their income skyrocket,” Trump told the crowd.
Trump told supporters attending the Save America rally that there was a “2500 percent” increase in the criminals’ income since he had left the White House.
“We had the safest border in the history of our country,” Trump said.
“…If you want to stop the destruction of the country and save the American Dream – the good old American Dream…then you have to vote Republicans up and down the line,” Trump said.

Gas prices are starting to creep up again. Despite Joe Biden going hat in hand to Saudi Arabia to beg for more oil production, OPEC gave him the finger and announced that they would be cutting production by two million barrels a day. Joe’s response? He’s going to continue to empty the Strategic Petroleum Reserve by 10 million barrels when it’s already at dangerously low levels and pretend like that’s doing something besides robbing our security for the future. He’s also canceling sanctions on the dictatorial state of Venezuela (who cares about human rights?) so that they can pump more and give some to us.

Democrat Senate candidates in battleground states will have a difficult time overcoming President Joe Biden’s underwater approval rating.
Biden’s average approval rating in seven of the top Senate swing states is underwater by an average of 15 points, a key midterm election bellwether metric Democrats fear come November 8.
According to Civiqs, Biden has a negative approval rating in the following swing states: Arizona (-18), Georgia (-20), Nevada (-17), New Hampshire (-1), Ohio (-24), Pennsylvania (-13), and Wisconsin (-13). Not included in the calculation are Biden’s approval ratings in Florida (-15), Colorado (-8), or Alaska (-21).

On Thursday, the United Nations' human rights council voted on an American-led motion to hold a debate about human rights abuses committed by communist China against Uyghurs in the nation's western region of Xinjiang. Of the council's 47 nation state members, 36 voted: 19 against and 17 for the motion. The result, said to be an "abdication of responsibility and a betrayal of Uyghur victims" by Human Rights Watch's China director, Sophie Richardson, is regarded as a win for the communist regime.
