Top House Democrats recently embarked on a swanky Euro-trip to fundraise for the looming midterm elections back at home, it was reported over the weekend.
Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, the head of House Democrats' campaign arm known as the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), was photographed in Paris earlier this month along with House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff.
A 'cocktail reception and dinner' to benefit the DCCC was held in Paris, France on October 1, according to invitations shared by the New York Times.
A similar invitation was sent out for a fundraiser in Geneva, Switzerland on October 3.

A fundraiser for DCCC in Europe? I believe they're not allowed to accept foreign money.

Do the DCCC have any idea their side of the boat is sinking? Shh. They'll figure it out in a few weeks.

Sure looks like a bunch of them are trying to milk their current position, and pave the way for a possible alternative career option.
These boondoggles should be funded by the campaign arm, but bet they've found a way to have the U.S. taxpayers pay for these trips which will have zero rationale.

Wanna bet the money they raise from overseas-based Americans comes exclusively for them? Might be interesting to "follow the money."

Of all the places I have been in my life Paris was my favorite, particularly Notre Dame, my local church.
Now it's a Muslim hell hole

They shouldn't even be able to accept contributions out of their own district. If you're not a constituent, you can't contribute.

Hey, for a bunch of them, free travel on the taxpayer's dime is about to come to an end. They have to get in their perks while they can.

I picture of them at a swanky restaurant in Paris would go good in a Republican political ad.

Schiff had to cancel the Jan6 committee"Final report" show...because of the Hurricane, but fundraising/globe trotting filled the window.

Pencil neck, shifty Schiff will soon be able to say “former member of the intelligence committee” as of early January 2023. If he is re-elected, along with Swallows-well, both should receive the same treatment Pelosi dished out to people she did not like, with no committee assignments. Speaker McCarthy should implement a “Watching Paint Dry” committee for the moron Democrats only.
