Exploding the Watergate Myth

Original Article

Posted By: Kate318, 7/20/2022 10:42:04 AM

I was a child of the Watergate generation. Vacationing at a lake house the summer I was 17, I spent weeks glued to the committee hearings on TV. Back in school that fall, I wrote a paper arguing that Nixon should resist pressure to resign. Headed south the next August, I watched Nixon’s resignation speech at a motor lodge on I-95 and the next day, on the highway, listened on the car radio as Gerald R. Ford declared “our long national nightmare” over.

Whatever happened in Watergate (especially the "cover-up") is child's play compared to the actions of the Democrat party, deep state, and media today. Case in point, the J6 witch trial (where the witches are doing the trial).

""Will," by G. Gordon Liddy, is close to the top of books on any list of must-reads I'd offer. I read it as a library book years ago and then promptly bought the book.

All I can say is "wow". I never believed it and John Dean to me was a snake. We, as Americans, have to wake up to how the press is manipulating us. No more.

John Dean wanted immunity to testify but was refused so he had to marry the prostitute so 'his wife' couldn't testify against him. It was all about John Dean along with the third-rate burglary to find the black book with democrats carrying on with hookers. All Gordan Liddy, the mastermind, ended up with was a dentist and hair appointment book he was quiet the braggart who thought he was James Bond. A crappy ending with a bunch of made-up Woodward and Berstein lies from a person call Deep Throat which I never believed. Watergate was the democrat's shining moment which they love to relive it continues to this very day. FJB

FTA: "It was remarkably easy, back then, to hide facts - even facts that had gone public. " The pre-WW2 media (newspapers and radio) did not have a sterling reputation for the truth. They were political shills and/or sensationalists selling newspapers. Their patriotic (therefore truthful) coverage of the war changed that. Stars emerged, with Edward R. Murrow the superstar of media, along with many from the CBS radio news bureau. Journalism became a "profession". Television sealed the deal. WW2 put journalism in bed with the military and spies. Our soldiers, sailors and airmen were on a determined march to victory. Stories were spiked with no complaint. Stories were told with a purpose. 1972 is not long (27 years) after WW2. It is still the Cold War. Vietnam was dragging on. American military leaders looked incompetent, soldiers addled and confused. Demonstrations and bombings were frequent stories. And Nixon was President about to negotiate an end to this war. Today "journalists" have gone full circle. They are all shills for one side or the other. We report, you decide is equally meaning you get one side and must seek out the other. Newspapers are on their way out, thinner than Twiggy on a diet. Politicians are celebrities on entertainment shows, not "Meet the Press". It's all become a UNIPARTY tragi-comedy, featuring key issues for woofing to rile the faithful...and maybe the public. History is bunk. Written by winners, revised when it's convenient by all sides. Who shot JFK? There are about 50 "proven" gunmen at Dealy Plaza, representing anyone you care to name, from Cubans (pro- and anti-Caastro) to the Mafia, the CIA, even a Secret Service guy in the trailing car and a sniper in the sewer. Take your pick, or add your own to the cast. The next compelling bombshell book will be published in 3...2...1...

The Democrats got rid of Nixon, after one term, with a Watergate investigation scam. They tried to get rid of Reagan with the Irangate scam, but it failed. They got rid of HW Bush, after one term, by running Ross Perot as a shill conservative to split the conservative vote. The tried to get rid of GW Bush with the Florida hanging chad vote recounts. They stole the second term of Trump, by stuffing unmonitored drop boxes, after failing with 2 impeachments, and a sham Mueller investigation. The next Republican President can count on being impeached, indicted, their family investigated, any businesses investigated, all by federal and state agencies. Attorney client or double jeopardy shields will not work. Federal government employees are all Democrats that cannot be fired for any reason, and will undermine every act of a Republican President. And if none of that works, the Democrats will get a Rino nominated or elected. Further, the Democrats will make their discontent known, and the mob will take care of their problem, as they always have done, elections or otherwise, in return for total protection from any prosecution for any of their crimes.

I remember Watergate taking over the news when I was in junior high/ high school. My dad and I talked about what was happening while getting tractors and equipment ready to go to the field every morning. He would even be surprised how correct he was as to what was really happening. Every time I time I read articles like this I gain more and more respect with wonder and awe at how well he figured these things out. It was also in one of these discussions that he told me that one day Russia will be democratic and the U.S. will be communist. I wish he would have been wrong more often.

This should be a MUST READ… but, sadly, it will not make it to the top. There’s too many facts and doesn’t fit the narrative.

It is very curious timing in this article from Newsweek, containing massive geopolitical implications, using identified Saudi Arabia sources, would come in advance of Joe Biden’s visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Is this strategic geopolitical pressure from Saudi leader Mohamed Bin Salman (MbS) ahead of the meeting with Biden; or is this a genuine possibility that looms as likely?

Your Excellency, after the psycho-pandemic, we now have the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. Are we in “phase two” of one single project, or can we now consider the Covid farce to be over and concern ourselves with the increase in energy prices? If in the last two years we had been faced with a true pandemic, caused by a deadly virus for which no other cures existed except for a vaccine, we would be able to think that the emergency was not intended. But this is not what happened:

A quote attributed to George Orwell states, “in a time of universal deceit, telling the truth will be a revolutionary act.” It appears that quote was considerably prescient as Big Tech and the U.S. intelligence apparatus collaborate to retain their narrative. Former U.N. Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter has been suspended from Twitter for questioning the transparently sketchy circumstances around Bucha, Ukraine.

It's going to be a long, hot summer — and I'm not just talking about the weather. Take a handful of hallucinogens, sedatives and edibles, wash them down with a healthy amount of your favorite liquor during a backyard barbecue with people you love, some you barely know and others you can't stand, and you'll approximate the political climate in the United States today on the eve of the midterm elections. The summer of 2022 is hot and furious. We are dealing with a world literally on fire due to climate change.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) claimed on Thursday her fixation with former President Donald Trump is not political. In an interview with the New York Times, Cheney alleged her alliance with Democrats on the partisan January 6 commission to attack Trump is not political but rather educational. “I don’t look at it through a political lens,” she claimed about her work on the committee. “I look at it through the angle of: People need to understand how dangerous he is and how unfit for office he is.” Cheney, who has received praise from Democrats for joining them in combatting Trump, is running behind in primary polls against Trump-endorsed opponent Harriet Hageman

A dispute between two families in line at Disney World turned ugly on Wednesday when the altercation escalated into an all-out brawl. Somewhere in Fantasyland between Cinderella's Castle and Peter Pan's Flight, the warring families traded punches and profanity, as onlookers screamed in the background, Fox 35 reported. The fracas continued at the Orlando, Florida, theme park for several minutes before park personnel and deputies broke it up. Lucky for you, you’re probably not a neighbor of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, but if you were, your evenings would be punctuated by “loud and vulgar,” almost-nightly protests from abortion proponents shouting about the recent SCOTUS overturn of Roe v. Wade. The Washington Post went to the tony Washington, D.C. suburb of Chevy Chase, Md. to interview Kavanaugh’s neighbors, and although many in the predominantly liberal enclave refused to go on record, most of the ones who did were not pleased with the disruptions.

Elon Musk recently declaring that we need to move on from President Donald Trump is the latest example of chatter I have noticed lately on the news and conservative blogs about why we need to do an about-face to Governor Ron DeSantis as our presidential nominee in 2024. (Snip) First, I am a big Governor DeSantis fan. He is showing what strong state leadership looks like and how it is possible to constitutionally resist a tyrannical federal government. DeSantis has been a profile in courage, toughness, sensibility, and even love as he stands for the citizens of Florida. He is the living embodiment of a patriotic executive.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of NBC’s “MTP Now,” Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM) argued that Democrats should say that “we’re going to solve inflation with a climate bill” and that in Congress, “we need to be doing climate all of the time now” and that “every bill we do, whether it’s an appropriations bill or whether it’s a policy bill,” should have climate provisions because “we’ve reached a point where our climate is truly at a tipping point. We’re losing this battle and losing control of the weather.” Heinrich stated, “[I]t really is our addiction to fossil fuels that is driving the out-of-control frustration and inflation that our constituents are feeling.”

Trump-appointed U.S. prosecutor David Weiss is deliberating whether to charge Hunter for “making a false statement in connection with Biden’s purchase of a firearm at a time he would have been prohibited from doing so because of his acknowledged struggles with drug addiction,” CNN reported Wednesday. As Breitbart News reported, Hunter may have lied on paperwork he submitted when purchasing a handgun in 2018 by not disclosing his drug additions.
