The Empire Strikes Back at Elon Musk

Original Article

Elon Musk announced Thursday morning his effort to buy Twitter and save it for free speech from the clutches of the liberal elite. His announcement is already causing liberal meltdowns all over the place. But are they already trying to stop him? Fox’s Charlie Gasparino has some troubling news that looks like the Empire may be striking back. “As @elonmusk offers to buy the rest of @Twitter a legal source tells @FoxBusiness @SECGov and @TheJusticeDept have launched what he described as a “joint investigation” into a myriad of Musk regulatory issues primarily involving @Tesla,” Gasparino tweeted. Oh, what interesting timing this is!

Twitter will not exist in 3 years as it replaced by a better more free speech platform! It may limp along as an echo chamber for woke purple air dames and soy boy pajama wimps. But without Musk it will never turn a profit again!

Funny how they want to suddenly install a poison pill AFTER they've received an offer to buy the company. Wonder if they can do such a thing after receiving the offer. The whole thing looks like an echo-chamber for the liberals, and would question if they are following their own company rules and regulations by even being part of Twitter. Remember, it was a Democrat strategist who Tweeted the claim about bleach as a possible remedy for COVID, it was not something President Trump said at the news conference. Would that not violate their own platform for misinformation? Many news organizations are part of publicly traded companies, who generally have multiple training courses they need to complete (i.e. Workplace Harassment Training, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act training, etc)

I would think a poison pill would require shareholder approval. I advise them to take the buyout offer. It is a very generous offer.

Musk should tell the @WhiteHouse, no more government payloads on my rockets. You're on your own. I'll put my own astronauts on the moon and Mars. I'll continue to put my own sattlelite network around the world. Elon is not afraid of Biden and Company. The reverse is true.

Twitter is a huge leftist tool that the democrat party must protect at all costs. Just about all the leftist government entities will go full bore at Musk. The left will show their fear in spades. It will be something to see.

White House restarting federal oil, gas
lease sales next week

The Biden administration quietly announced Friday that it was restarting the sale of oil and gas leases on federal land next week — almost exactly 15 months after President Biden imposed a moratorium on such sales upon taking office. The announcement of the pending sales by the Interior Department’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) represents an about-face by the White House, which had resisted pressure from energy companies to open up more land for drilling, instead insisting that thousands of previously approved leases were going unused.

Ukraine said on Friday it was trying to break Russian forces’ siege of Mariupol, with fighting raging around the city’s Illich steel works and port, as the capital Kyiv was rocked by some of the most powerful explosions in two weeks. Russia said it had struck overnight what it said was a factory in Kyiv that made and repaired anti-ship missiles, in apparent retaliation for the sinking of the Moskva, the flagship of Moscow’s Black Sea fleet, on Thursday. Ukraine said one of its missiles had caused the Moskva to sink, in a powerful symbol of its resistance to a better-armed foe.

A Department of Homeland Security investigation into Del Rio Sector Horse Patrol Unit agents determined no wrongdoing occurred. The results came six months after DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas promised a speedy investigation into the agents wrongly accused of whipping migrants. A source close to the investigation informed Breitbart Texas the Border Patrol expects the official report of findings to be delivered shortly. Secretary Mayorkas initially promised the investigation would be completed in “days, not weeks.” The investigation dragged on and although the Border Patrol has been informed of the findings, the official results have yet to be delivered, according to a source operating

Former president Trump endorsed GOP candidate J. D. Vance in Ohio’s Senate race on Friday. Once a vocal critic of Trump during his first presidential bid, Vance declared his support for Trump in 2020 and has since carried his mantle with a populist campaign platform. “Like many others, J.D. Vance may have said some not so great things about me in the past, but he gets it now, and I have seen that in spades. He is our best chance for victory in what could be a very tough race. The Democrats will be spending many millions of dollars, but the good news is that they have a defective candidate

The Russian missile cruiser that was damaged in a fire on Thursday was hit and ultimately sunk by Ukrainian missile strikes, a senior U.S. defense official confirmed on Friday. Russia and Ukraine had offered differing accounts of what happened to the vessel. The defense source confirmed the ship was hit by two Neptune missiles, and told NPR there are likely casualties. Experts say the loss of the Moskva — the flagship of Russia's Black Sea fleet — is significant both symbolically and militarily, even if it doesn't deal a decisive blow to Russia's overall operations.

Russia has sent a formal letter to the U.S. warning that shipments of sensitive weapons from the United States and NATO were exacerbating tensions in Ukraine and could lead to “unpredictable consequences,” The Washington Post reported. The letter, which was viewed by he Post, added that the U.S. has flouted the rules governing the transfer of weapons to conflict zones. According to the letter dated Tuesday, Russia accused NATO of impeding early peace negotiation with Ukraine “in order to continue the bloodshed.” The State Department declined to confirm any private diplomatic correspondence.

Zelensky also said Moscow could easily use either nuclear or chemical weapons, as Putin does not value the lives of Ukrainian citizens. “They could do it,

Twitter on Friday said it adopted a "poison pill" plan that could block billionaire Elon Musk from significantly increasing his stake in the social media company. The counter-measure comes a day after Tesla CEO Musk unveiled a $43 billion hostile offer for Twitter. In a statement, Twitter said that the new plan will reduce the chances than any person, group or company could take control of Twitter through purchases of stock on the open market without paying "an appropriate control premium" or giving the board enough time "to make informed judgments." The plan will go into effect if any person or group buys at least 15%

Russia has confirmed the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet has sunk after what Ukraine said was a missile attack by their forces. If the facts are as claimed, the sinking is the most significant warship loss in decades, and possibly since the Second World War. Russian state media has confirmed the guided-missile cruiser and erstwhile flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the Moskva (Moscow) sunk on Thursday. The total loss of the ship comes after what Ukrainian state media claimed was a strike on the ship by two of their domestically produced  “Neptune” (Нептун) missiles on Wednesday. The Ukrainians said they’d caused major damage to the warship.

President Joe Biden’s campaign pollster, John Anzalone, expressed on Friday that the 2022 political environment is the worst he has experienced since Bill Clinton was elected president in 1992. “It’s the worst political environment that I’ve lived through in 30 years,” the well-known Anzalone told Politico Playbook about Biden’s America. Anzalone may be right. Thirty years ago, income inequality was drastically less, milk was about $1.13 per gallon, and the Soviet Union was dissolved and would soon retreat from Germany. Today, income inequality is skyrocketing, milk costs about $4.02 per gallon, and Russia has invaded Ukraine. Inflation has reached 40-year highs. The southern border remains unsecured. Fentanyl overdoses have increased. Gas prices have soared to record highs. Weakly wages have shrunk. Supply chains have broken.

The panic that the left is throwing now over Elon Musk’s offer to buy Twitter is so delicious. They are melting down. You’re getting people now saying things about rich people and media because — suddenly — they’re so afraid that there might be free speech. What’s hilarious about all this is that they didn’t have any problem with Jeff Bezos taking over the Washington Post. So what’s different here? That Elon wouldn’t row in alignment with the narrative. That’s their true problem. Now, the Twitter board is considering the offer from Musk; they haven’t come down with a decision yet. The word from Elon is that he’s secured the funding he needs.

There has been a question hanging out there concerning the Capitol riot now for some time. Just exactly how many FBI/other federal agents/confidential informants were there and embedded with the crowd on Jan. 6 during the riot? Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and others have tried to get to the bottom of that question. Cruz questioned Jill Sanborn, executive assistant director of the FBI’s National Security Branch when she testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee in January, but she wouldn’t give him a straight answer. “How many FBI agents or confidential informants actively participated in the events of January 6th?” Cruz asked. Sanborn said that she couldn’t go into “sources and methods.”

ROME, Italy — Pope Francis accused the West of racism Friday, insisting migrants are “subdivided” by skin color and country of origin.“Refugees are subdivided,” the pontiff declared during a lengthy Good Friday interview on Italian television. “There’s first class, second class, skin color, [whether] they come from a developed country [or] one that is not developed.”“We are racists, we are racists. As he has done on other occasions, Francis compared the current problem of migrants and refugees to the flight into Egypt of Joseph, Mary, and Jesus when King Herod was seeking to kill him.

The plan outlines more than 300 different strategies and commitments by more than 90 federal agencies, including the Justice, Defense, Energy and Labor departments. The Russian people know little about Putin’s war on Ukraine because Putin has blocked their access to the truth, substituting propaganda and lies. But dictators like Putin and demagogues like Trump have demonstrated how naive that assumption was. At least the US responded to Trump’s lies. Trump had 88 million Twitter followers before Twitter took him off its platform – just two days after the attack on the Capitol, which he provoked, in part, with his tweets. (Trump’s social media accounts were also suspended on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch and TikTok

Tony Dungy, the first black coach ever to win a Super Bowl, might have escaped notice this week had he merely supported Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s “Responsible Fatherhood Initiative.” His real sin was to explain why. Dungy, a Christian father or eleven, recounted a conversation he had years back with the Rev. Abe Brown about Brown’s prison ministry. At Brown’s request, Dungy accompanied him to prison. Expecting to find hardened criminals, Dungy found instead “19- and 20- and 21-year-old kids who looked like my boys.” When Dungy asked what accounted for the young men’s incarceration, Brown told him, “(snip) Ninety-five percent of these boys did not grow up with their dad.”
