Go bold, GOP: 10 commandments worth running
on in midterm elections

Original Article

Can Republicans move beyond just completing the original, necessary Trump agenda on closing the border, legal-only immigration, deterrence against China, energy production, immunity from optional military engagements in the Middle East, industrial and manufacturing resurgence in the Rust Belt and conservative judicial appointments? What would such a new Contract with America entail, if it were indeed wise before the midterms to advertise such a confident, Newt Gingrich-like strategy for regaining the House? And should a menu be more rather than less detailed? What about the follow-up for a later Republican presidency?

Comments:

As usual, VDH is correct.

What about reducing the size of the federal government and reversing the socialism? What about forcing the executive branch to get Congressional legislation to issue an emergency mandate, and set limits on that authority? What about stopping the targeting of American citizens by the Deep State, government, military, and corporations? Are you seriously telling me you cannot stop the robo calls? What about stopping the use of federal funding to blackmail compliance from individuals or the states? None of this will be in the contract, because nothing is going to change.

Honor the 10th Amendment and keep it holy. Government officials (elected, appointed or career) forfeit 100% of pension (and related benefits) for conviction of felony for anything (personal, career or combination).

Nice to see an *action* plan instead of a list of current problems! We're all too familiar with the many issues facing us right now, need to focus on a way out of this mess.

Frankly I've always been fond of VDH's point # 11. Scatter Government Departments far and wide. Agriculture to Kansas, Energy to Texas (Midland), Transportation to ButtGig's home town .You'd cut the bureaucracy in half just from resignations if they didn't get to live in DC.

Can we get a pledge from the GOPe Congress to RESCIND the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986? Follow the Washingtonian foreign policy of no foreign entanglements, meaning departure from the UN and NATO? That the US return to its mercantile roots and retire as "Leader of the Free World"? Directly tie tax rates to spending to create a "balanced budget". Raise spending, raise taxes to cover it. A zero inflation policy. No more borrowing to cover shortfalls. No more printing press cash. The home folks would love it... Do we give "sanctuary cities" a trial like other lawbreakers? Maybe the real problem is to stop the Federal government from handing out money with a "purpose", i.e. bribes for compliance with some policy imposed by Washington.

Virginia’s new Republican governor, Glenn Youngkin, expanded the focus of his chief diversity, opportunity, and inclusion officer to include restoring equal economic opportunity for all citizens, creating a climate that allows for diversity of thought, restoring constitutionally protected rights in the Commonwealth, and fighting for the unborn. In Youngkin’s 10th executive order, the governor appointed vice president of the Heritage Foundation’s Feulner Institute, Angela Sailor, as replacement director of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), after dismissing the former chief, Janice Underwood, and her four staffers. He also elevated the role to a Cabinet-level position under the new title of “Commonwealth Chief Diversity, Opportunity, & Inclusion Officer.”

A number of people distinguished themselves on the public stage in 2021, but the Man of the Year stands out pretty clearly: he is Ron DeSantis. DeSantis was a model of rational governance, and under his leadership Florida has moved to the forefront not just as a destination for blue-state refugees, but as a famously well-governed state. Even extreme leftists know enough to go to Florida when they can.

On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Assembly held another election integrity hearing to present evidence of voter fraud and irregularities that have been found in their investigation of the rigged 2020 election. And just like last month’s election hearing, they dropped some serious bombshells. Yesterday’s hearing built on those findings and presented more questions for the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC), which has failed to answer previous questions on the 2020 election. They did however respond to the reported 119,283 active voters who have been registered for over 100 years, but their weak response just didn’t cut it.

So they are not going to b**** and moan about early voting in a red county. ”He continued, “This is exactly the kind of mechanism that proto authoritarian states and authoritarian states set up. They want to say who can vote, when they can vote, how they can vote, when the votes are counted.

As the Biden presidency enters its second year, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen called the Commander-in-Chief’s economic policy a “remarkable success.”During an interview with CNBC, Yellen lauded decreases in the unemployment rate while expressing hope for lower inflation. “A year ago, if you go back to the challenges that we were facing, and the Federal Reserve was facing, unemployment was extremely high. We were all worried that we would be facing a situation like we had after 2008, when it took almost a decade to get back to full employment,” Yellen said. “

Democrats accused Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of racism for remarks he made about black Americans voting at just as high a percentage as 'Americans' after their voting rights package failed to make it through the Senate. The Kentucky Republican was asked by a reporter what his message is to voters of color who are 'concerned' that they won't be able to vote in the midterm election. 'Well, the concern is misplaced because you if you look at the statistics, African-American voters are voting in just as high a percentage as Americans,' McConnell said in response.

Comedian and actress Kathy Griffin claimed CNN president Jeff Zucker slashed her pay after she had asked for a raise as co-host of the network's New Year's Eve special. In a profile published Wednesday in The New York Times, Griffin recalled reaching out to Zucker 10 days before the broadcast in 2016 and told him she felt she deserved more than her $80,000 contract since "she was carrying more of the prep work" than her co-host, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper. According to Griffin, Zucker "got very offended." "He started yelling at me and he literally said something like, ‘Who do you think you are calling here demanding a raise?’

The CDC has officially moved the goalposts on what it means to be vaccinated from COVID-19. We all knew this day was coming, even as an onslaught of “fact-checkers” assured us it was “misinformation” to assert such a change was coming publicly. But first, let’s talk about the details. CDC Dir. Rochelle Walensky appeared on CBS News and shared the news that the two-dose regiment will no longer suffice to be considered “fully vaccinated.” Instead, you will need a booster jab in order to be classified as “up to date.” That comes as part of a “pivot” in language by the government, one that many were maligned for predicting.
