The facts of this shameful case are generally well known: the National School Boards Association (NSBA) wrote to the FBI, asking it to investigate as “domestic terrorism”protests at school board meetings against the introduction of Critical Race Theory into public school curricula. That was bad enough, but now the story has gotten even worse. On Tuesday, Fox News revealed that “Education Secretary Miguel Cardona solicited the much-criticized letter from the National School Boards Association that compared protesting parents to domestic terrorists,” according to an email exchange it had reviewed.

I think the parents, a few house down, attended a school board meeting and asked about the curriculum being taught to their children. I don't know if I should inform Attorney General Merrick "Gestapo" Garland that there are possible "domestic terrorists" living in the neighborhood. The Demented Fuhrer is no doubt pleased with........ Miguel "Commandant" Cardona

Shares of Carvana (CVNA.N), opens new tab surged nearly 30% in extended trading on Wednesday after the used-car seller forecast a surprise rise in current-quarter retail sales and core profit. Carvana's results come as high interest rates prompt consumers to look for deals on second-hand cars instead of buying new ones. Its shares, which have a short interest of 27% of free float, are up about 65% this year after recording an 11-fold rise last year. The surge in its stock price is set to add about $5 billion to its market capitalization of $17.6 billion, as of Wednesday's close. The used-car retailer said it was expecting a sequential increase in adjusted core profit

While story after story comes out detailing just how deep leftist activists have infiltrated our school system, this story shows that there's at least some good sense in Oklahoma. According to Fox News, Oklahoma Superintendent Ryan Walters fired a warning shot at The Satanic Temple after they said they would be placing their on ministers in public schools if Senate Bill 36 becomes law. The bill, recently passed by Oklahoma's House, would allow volunteer chaplains into public schools provided a background check clears them of any prior criminal history, including sex offenders. The bill also allows for chaplains to be dismissed for negligence and moral misconduct.

Five West Virginia middle-school track athletes who protested the participation of a transgender student in a recent competition have been barred from future meets and are now engaged in a legal battle with their school district that could end up at the Supreme Court. On April 18, during the 2024 Harrison County Middle School Championships, the student athletes — all girls — made local headlines by stepping out of the shot-put circle, choosing to forfeit rather than compete against a 13-year-old transgender female. The silent protest came after a federal appeals court struck down part of West Virginia's transgender sports ban, allowing the 13-year-old in question to compete

Just how badly do Senate Democrats — and Presidentish Joe Biden — want to make it official that they're The Official Party of Violent Antisemitism™? Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and his oh-so-slender majority are going to help us find out. The House on Wednesday passed Rep. Mike Lawler's (R-N.Y.) Antisemitism Awareness Act one day after police cleared out a pro-Hamas occupation at Columbia University. According to Just The News, the bill "seeks to make the Department of Education adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of antisemitism when enforcing the 1964 Civil Rights Act on college campuses." The Alliance’s definition is a little broad for my taste,

The documentary Rather made its appearance yesterday on Netflix. Directed by Frank Marshall, the film premiered last year at the Tribeca Film Festival. It now becomes generally available via the streaming service. I watched the documentary twice yesterday in order to comment on it here. As it turns out, Star Tribune media critic Neal Justin fairly describes it and nails its shortcomings in 114 words, but there is more to be said. Rather celebrates the career of Dan Rather in television journalism. It is the kind of thing CBS News would have prepared for Rather on the occasion of his retirement from the network had he voluntarily retired

As the old saying goes, “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.” The Democratic Party is the China of stupid prizes, churning out 95 percent of the world’s supply and, as it just so happens, their recipients as well. The problem isn’t that so many on the left set up these dumb paradigms, it’s that the ripple effect of their stupidity ruins so many things for normal people who just want to be left the hell alone. They’re the fat kid cannonballing into the hotel pool while everyone else is simply relaxing in the sun. One dumbass can make a whole of people wet. It’s what Democrats do.

Biden is again on a tax-raising rampage. He proposes to increase income taxes by nearly $5 trillion for corporations. Increasing the corporate income tax rate to 28% (from 21%) will be a great driver of negative effects on the U.S. economy, reducing long-run GDP by 0.9%, the capital stock by 1.7%, wages by 0.8%, and full-time jobs by 192,000. Additionally, Biden's new tax proposals include increasing the recently enacted corporate alternative minimum tax rate from 15% to 21% and denying business deductions for employee compensation above $1 million. Biden proposes an increase of the corporate income tax that's a higher tax rate than in communist

Like many alleged felons in Los Angeles County, Teran was out on bail less than an hour after her arrest. Blinken met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in hopes, once more, of getting a temporary ceasefire with Hamas. A truce would "give us something to build on," Blinken said.
