The price of natural gas skyrocketed more than 30% in Europe on Tuesday after Russia continued to withhold key supplies with winter weather approaching. Tuesday marked the 15th consecutive day the pipeline’s natural gas flowed from Europe back toward Russia, according to Reuters. While the price, measured by the Dutch natural gas index, fell after its early spike, it remained about 20% higher at around midday Tuesday, Reuters reported. In December, Russian state-owned gas provider Gazprom slowed gas flows transported through the Yamal-Europe pipeline to Germany and reversed the flows’ direction from westward to eastward.

Seems to me we HAD a US president who predicted this. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Bush, nor was is the sainted 0bama. I don’t recall Brandon saying anything about this either. Who could it have been???

This will get worse. EU leaders are not logical, practical people. Like all on the left, they put ideology first and their citizens second. If Vlad doesn't shut them off entirely, their heating bills will become unaffordable. People will go back to burning wood, coal or peat to stay warm and survive. So much for trying to cut back on fossil fuels.

In the mortal words of Dementia Joe “…I did it…” and that’s not just that he just pooped his pants, the Biden family is still collecting on this one.

Golly gee, nobody saw this coming just like nobody knew that Covid would mutate. Is Russia doing this to put pressure on our NATO allies to help make sure that Ukraine is never allowed to join the NATO alliance? Joe Biden and the EU have given Russia a powerful tool in controlling the flow of natural gas for heating homes. If the Europeans don't do what Russia wants, Russia just cuts the gas supply and freezes the European population over the winter. Russia does not need to take any military or diplomatic actions and Europe bends like a twig to their will. Putin is not stupid. Too bad Biden and the Euroweenies have fallen right into his trap.

EXACTLY as Putin has done to Ukraine, time and time again.
I and MANY others predicted that this was the GUARANTEED outcome of letting Russia "supply" gas to Europe. Now he has them by the short hairs. Dynamite that pipeline and get a different supply.

European's intellectually infantile leaders hoped for Russian to "supply" their energy. While the realpolitik Russia hoped to "control" their energy. The walkover invasion will begin soon. Followed by China's takeover of Taiwan during the Closing Ceremonies. (Russia is already banned from the Olympics and doesn't care what the world thinks of them.)
