President Joe Biden on Wednesday dodged responsibility for record-high energy prices and asked the Federal Trade Commission to investigate oil companies for “anti-competitive behavior.”With nationwide gas prices reaching historic highs, inflation marking a thirty-year high, and a supply chain that seems permanently broken, President Biden is presumably seeking to escape responsibility for his failed energy agenda by placing blame on oil companies.“I do not accept hard-working Americans paying more for gas because of anti-competitive or otherwise potentially illegal conduct,” President Biden said. “I therefore ask that the Commission further examine what is happening with oil and gas markets,

Ummm - - Despicable Joe - - how come - - how come the oil companies weren't anti-competitive price-gougers - - during the four years that Donald Trump was president? How come the price of a gallon of gasoline tumbled down to below $2.00?
How come? How come? How come?

There is nothing new here. Democrats create a problem but always blame someone or something else, and the lapdog, corrupt media go right along with it.

If he ever took an economics course, he must have been absent the day they taught Supply and Demand.

Oh, sure the oil companies conspired to send gas prices from $3.09 a gallon in January this year to $4.39 a gallon today where I live. Yeah, sure right you betcha you dumb SOB. Remember that pipeline you canceled on day 1?

Democrat strategy 101: create disastrous economic policies for the express purpose of blaming someone else for the results.
Does Joe (or more correctly, the handlers that told him what to say) seriously believe anyone else believes this BS? I don't think they're that stupid, but they obviously think the consuming public is!
If oil companies had any control over gasoline prices, then they would not have destroyed themselves economically every five or ten years or so, which is approximately how often the price of crude oil collapses. Most recent collapse was in spring of 2020, when price of crude oil dropped to zero, and half the oil companies went broke.

Unfortunately for Joe, Americans are nowhere near as stupid as he thinks we are. Everyone knows who's responsible for the high gas prices. When he lies like this it just makes him all that more unpopular.

Crude Oil is almost double what it was when FJB took office. This is a world price that is very much determined by supply and demand. FJB took away a lot of the extra supply the US was making so here we are. Democrats always do the same thing when gas prices go up, they investigate the oil companies, must be the hundredth time they have said this over the years.

I was just reading a "Verify" article that is posted on most local news outlets who receive their "news" from leftists and just regurgitate it...
"Verify" said its fiction that the WH has not done anything to effect gas prices and that its just a "global phenomenon". Of course the local media just run the this BS as fact.

What a feminine cleansing agent bag he is...shuts down OUR pipelines and then has the audacity to blame the shortages on the oil companies....

Clueless. Just clueless. Brandon has no idea what is going on in the country. He just signs whatever the junta leaders put in front of him and tries to read whatever they put up on the large flat screen TV in the fake oval office. No honor, decency or respect for the country.

Biden: "High gas prices are due to the greed of the oil companies."
Sheeple: "Yeah, you are right, Joe. It is all their fault."
OPEC: "What a bunch of useful idiots."
