A Georgia woman says she received an emergency room bill for nearly $700—despite not receiving treatment and leaving the hospital after seven hours without ever getting to see a doctor. Taylor Davis told a local media outlet that she checked into Emory Decatur Hospital for treatment of a head injury in July—but after waiting to be seen for seven hours, left the facility.(Snip)Weeks later, Davis said she was shocked to receive a hospital bill for $688.35. "I didn't get my vitals taken, nobody called my name,’ Davis told the outlet. ‘I wasn't seen at all.’ Initially believing she received the bill in error, she reached out

Her mistake was not being on Medicaid, or being an illegal alien. For them, everything is Free.

I am curious as to why #2 says this is fake news. Do they know something we don't? This story is very believable from everything I know or have even heard about medical practices in this country.

FTA: In an email sent to Davis and obtained by Fox 5, the hospital said: ‘You are charged before you are seen. Not for being seen.’ I've heard of outrageous billing schemes but I've never heard of this one before.

Here's your FREE health care. My sister in Canada tells me that you wait over a year for a hip replacement surgery because Canada has no surgeons. They all live in the USA where they get paid. Cancer patients wait months for treatment wherein they go from stage 1 to stage 4. FREE healthcare is worth every cent of it.

File a complaint with the Georgia Bureau of Insurance. That will get the hospital's attention real quick.

All these ridiculous charges are to cover from the large number that dont pay ever. My insurance pays 80% and I am stuck with 20%. What I found out was, the insurance company negotiates their 80% down to 20%, but my 20% stays the same. So the hospital gets 40% at best. If I was paying 100% out of pocket I wouldn't get to negotiate anything.

If she would have waited to be seen, it would have been 10 times that amount. There's no justification for charging her except to pay for all the illegal aliens the hospital has to see for free.

The capabilities of the Chinese military continue to beat U.S. estimates, and neither the Soviet Union at the height of the Cold War nor any other country in recent history has consistently exceeded Pentagon and intelligence community projections to this extent, a top Air Force general said Wednesday. In an exclusive interview with The Washington Times, Lt. Gen. S. Clinton Hinote, the Air Force’s deputy chief of staff for strategy, integration and requirements, offered a blunt assessment of how quickly the Chinese armed forces have accelerated key programs such as hypersonic weapons, nuclear arms, and a host of others. Whilst Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin are rightly hailed as being the first men to step on the moon, it was a stray mongrel named Laika who propelled the space race into new territory. On November 3, 1957, the little part-husky dog–who was also known as Curly–became the first animal to orbit Earth when she flew out of the atmosphere in the Soviet Union's Sputnik 2 spacecraft. At the time, the Russians told the world that, until her air supply ran out, the dog had survived for six days inside a capsule which provided her with food, water and oxygen. Offering a path to citizenship to illegal immigrants and opening the doors to more legal immigrants will cost the federal government more than $500 billion over the next few decades, the Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday. The costs would come chiefly to Social Security, Medicare and other social safety net programs that the new, and newly legalized, immigrants would be able to access, the budget analysts said. The nonpartisan budget agency analyzed House Democrats’ plan to update the window of eligibility for illegal immigrants to adjust their status to legal immigrants, and to expand availability of green cards, or legal immigrant visas, to more foreign citizens.

A hospital in Connecticut began administering Covid-19 vaccines to children, aged between five to 11, just minutes after the CDC officially signed off on approval. Hartford Hospital vaccinated six children with a low dose of Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday evening and dozens more will get the shot today. The decision has caused a storm of controversy with opponents pointing to the fact there is little evidence to suggest vaccinating children is necessary. Data shows Covid poses a low risk to the age group, with children accounting for less than 0.1 percent of Covid deaths in America.(Snip)In Britain, scientists have warned against officials 'blindly' recommending
