That’s partly because the gubernatorial race between Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Republican Glenn Youngkin has evolved into a neck-and-neck contest that both national parties are watching closely to divine their fortunes in next year’s midterms.(Photo) It’s also because the office has been inundated with GOP poll watchers, who signed up in unprecedented numbers this year to observe voting in the state’s Nov. 2 election, says the city’s director of elections, Christine Gibbons.

Surprise surprise, Fairfax has actually stopped reporting as of 8:30pm. They are waiting to see how many votes they will need to put MCCauliffe over the top. Why don’t the Republican counties wise up and hold back their reporting also?

Terry McAuliffe tweeted out that there was a problem with Fairfax Co. and votes will have to be rescanned resulting in a delay past the official 8:00 deadline. He didn't say how many times they will have to be rescanned because they don't know how many more votes they need to win.

Gee...for 38 YEARS Repubs have been BANNED from having anyone even watch the vote counts, Dems have had people in every polling place, every election it is somehow "Nefarious" that they are training up people to observe, dissuade and maybe stop Dem election shenanigans? For 38 YEARS any vote questioned, any even obvious scam, collusion, malfeasance, clearcut violation... IF pointed out... had the potential to make the "Consent Decree" legally binding and PERMANENT.(A consent decree negotiated by a small group of New JERSEY Repubs, but binding on the party nearly Nationwide). Dems tried to fight the expiration of the decree in every way, and in every court they could...losing every case. Repubs had to let EVERYTHING slide, just to get to this point, NOW finally we can "fight" on even ground without a hand tied behind us, and Dems/Media are calling a "Fair Fight" on even terms.., an Attack

And with that, MSNBC was beside itself with DEFCON-1 levels of hysteria that showed, at least for one night, that the far-left cable journalists and pundits had learned nothing.MSNBC again turned to Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, and Nicolle Wallace to lead their coverage from 6:45 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern and, quite simply, it was a rhetorical bloodbath with unhinged hatred about Republicans having “turned the suburbs” into

Less than 24 hours after arriving back in the United States, President Biden's legislative agenda suffered another loss at the hands of Republicans in Congress on Wednesday. The John Lewis Voting Rights Act, yet another Democrat attempt to hand the federal government control of America's elections, failed to secure the support necessary to overcome a Republican filibuster in the Senate. Vice President Kamala Harris presided over the latest loss for the Biden-Harris legislative agenda that came out 50 to 49, short of the 60 vote threshold necessary to move the bill forward.

This wasn’t supposed to be competitive. It wasn’t supposed to be even a race. Joe Biden heavily carried the state in 2020. Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy was supposed to cruise to re-election. I’m sure the Murphy camp hoped to have a result by the end of last night. It’s not over yet. Yes, Dave Wasserman of The Cook Political Report has called it—but it’s not official yet. It’s a close one. And even if King Murphy avoids regicide by the voters in the Garden State, there’s still a lot of bad news to glean from this race. (Tweets)

Despite trailing former governor Terry McAulife by as much as six and a half points in the RealClearPolitics polling average as late as the last week of August, Youngkin ultimately triumphed thanks to a hyper-focus on local issues and a commitment to walking the line between Trump supporters in rural, southern Virginia and wealthier suburbanites who were alienated by the MAGA wing of the party.
