Weather and staffing-led turbulence stretched into a fourth day for American Airlines, with the top U.S. carrier canceling more flights on Monday to push the total number to nearly 2,300. The airline said it canceled 340 flights, or 6% of its total planned flights on Monday, as of 11 a.m. ET. Staffing shortages have hit American Airlines, Southwest Airlines Co and Spirit Airlines Inc in particular, as they ramp up flights ahead of the holiday season but face problems finding enough pilots and flight attendants. “Flight Attendant staffing at American is strained and reflects what is happening across the industry as we continue to deal with pandemic-related issues,
That wind in Dallas must be terrible. They have a hurricane sitting on top of them for days or something?
Maybe you should stop pushing the clot shot poison, you idiots. I read weeks ago that Southwest only gets 3% of its total business as a FedGov contractor. Time for you to tell Comrade Potato Head to shove his 'vaccine' and stop hemorrhaging people.

“Weather related delays” mean they don’t have to pay out for hotels or meals.

#4 is on the money. Weather in Dallas right now shows high 50s, 3 mph wind and partly cloudy. If you can't fly in those conditions you should not be in the business.
I used to be a frequent flyer and had many flights canceled due to blue sky and zero wind conditions by US Airways. Always the weather's fault.
This entire weekend delays and cancelations are being caused by a cloudy mind. Do not travel by air over the holidays if you want to enjoy the holidays.

American Airlines is suffering from woke leadership that have decided it is better to be Democrats and have no business. Customers should avoid flying for the rest of the year. Any trips will not be pleasurable.

While I definitely believe there's more to the story (and we'll know for certain if it continues), the wind in DFW, where I live, WAS extremely insane starting last Thursday. We were under a wind advisory for a few days. So, don't look at today's forecast and try to make it retroactive. It calmed down quite a bit on Sunday, just in time for Reformation Day. So, if the cancelations continue, I think we can then say it's another Southwest Airlines type situation. ;) And I hope it is!

Biden will soon be doling out billions of our dollars to rescue the airlines from his policies.

The root cause is the weather. No wait, the root cause is air traffic control system issues. Hold on, check that, the root cause is, um, racism!

What weather are they talking about? Must be the same type of disturbance as global warming and climate change. It's a crisis and destroying the planet, but no one can seem to actually experience any of this warming. Right now it's 53 degrees and overcast in Fort Worth, but nothing severe. "Staffing shortages" have hit the airlines and they have pandemic-related issues. That is what they mean by they are firing those who refuse the vaccination.

It's always a beautiful day in the neighborhood when "we the people" fight back. Kudos to those American employees who refuse the jab.

Its American Airlines that's flying illegals all over the country. Same for United and Delta.

A question of semantics: Is AA really the ''top airline'' if it cancels flights? Asking for a friend.

Drove to Dallas Thursday through Sunday. T and F were extremely windy. S and S were beautiful. Don't think it was the weather.
