As Allahpundit pointed out earlier, the Lincoln Project released a statement not long ago admitting that they were the ones behind the tiki hate hoax this morning in Charlottesville, Virginia. But sharp-eyed observers noticed that earlier when images of the hoax first circulated on Twitter, the Lincoln Project was helping to retweet them to their 2.6 million followers: (Snip) Clearly the Lincoln Project was happy to see their own Jussie Smollett hate hoax spread and I suspect they would have let it roll all weekend if they’d be able to. So why did they confess to their involvement a few hours later?

First Lady Jill Biden and French First Lady Brigitte Macron were practically twinning when they met at a restaurant in Rome early Friday evening. Both petite blondes wore navy suits paired with navy heels. They got together at a restaurant called Il Marchese, ahead of their husbands' first meeting since France was blindsided by Australia pulling out of a submarine deal to join a security pact with the United States and the United Kingdom.Afterward, Biden, 70, standing alongside Macron, 68, said the time spent together was 'wonderful.' 'It's nice, two friends together, just like sisters,' she cooed.

Early indications show the 2024 presidential election cycle could see a dramatic face-off between former President Donald Trump and his ex-deputy Mike Pence. The former vice president fueled speculation that he's launching a White House bid in 2024 on Thursday when he delivered a speech championing 'educational freedom' at a small conservative college in Loudoun County, Virginia. Trump remains a polarizing but dominant figure in Republican politics. A recent Morning Consult poll shows that a majority of GOP voters - 67 percent - want him to run for a second term.

Do we know for an ironclad fact that these people are Democratic activists and supporters pulling a ham-fisted, glaringly obvious dirty trick attempt to smear Glenn Youngkin? Not yet. But I'd bet a hefty sum of money that's what's happening here. They're dressed identically. They're carrying tiki torches -- a la Charlottesville -- in the rain. The torches look like they were just purchased at the dollar store. And one of the "white nationalists" crashing a Youngkin event to "support him" is, um, a black guy. Not subtle, gang: (Tweet) Right on cue, a top McAuliffe aide blasted out the tweet,

As the target-rich environment for conservative political pundits continues, I often say the articles and op-eds sometimes write themselves. This is one of those times, as the headline suggests.Better yet, this is one of those “stranger-than-true” articles. Toss in the United Nations and we have a sure “winner.”In a truly bizarre video released by the United Nations Development Programme on Wednesday, a talking computer-generated dinosaur warns humans that they must take urgent action to avoid what our histrionic friends in the Democrat Party are fond of calling “the existential threat of our time” — climate change (or whatever they’re now calling it) action to avoid extinction.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson did not mince words in responding to U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney panning his network for allowing him to spread “lies” about the January 6 protest at the U.S. Capitol. (Video) Highlighting a tweet from Cheney, Carlson said, “So last night, we showed you a trailer for something called ‘Patriot Purge,’ our new investigative documentary on what happened on January 6th, it debuts Monday on Fox Nation. This morning we woke up to this tweet — it comes from Congresswoman Liz Cheney, of suburban Virginia, who for some reason represents the state of Wyoming in the House.”After reading her tweet aloud, Carlson sarcastically added,

President Joe Biden got a 75-minute meeting with Pope Francis on Friday, longer than his two predecessors in the Oval Office.Biden, the nation's second Catholic president, was scheduled to be with the Pontiff for only an hour but got 30 minutes of extra time. In 2017, Francis met then President DonaldTrump for 30 minutes and, in 2014, Francis met with then President Barack Obama for 52 minutes. Biden's meeting with Pope John Paul, in 1980, in contrast, was only 45 minutes. The meeting was 'wonderful,' Biden told reporters afterwards.
