Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas has tested positive for Covid-19, throwing off his plans to travel to Colombia with Sec. of State Antony Blinken. 'Secretary Mayorkas tested positive this morning for the COVID-19 virus after taking a test as part of routine pre-travel protocols. Secretary Mayorkas is experiencing only mild congestion; he is fully vaccinated and will isolate and work at home per CDC protocols and medical advice. Contact tracing is underway,' DHS spokesperson Marsha Espinosa said in a statement. Blinken will now travel to Quito, Equador on Tuesday and Bogotá, Colombia without the DHS head to meet with President Iván Duque and Vice President-Foreign Minister Marta

Comments:

In other words he was not protected at all, and he was just as sick if not sicker than most anyone else who did not get the clot shot. And he's contagious and has to quarantine. Good thing he's full vaxxed.

Wait a minute. I love to jump on the idiocy of the Biden regime just as much as anyone else. But I remember when I get the flu shot, I still can get the flu. The idea is that it usually isn't as severe as without the flu shot. I'm not a scientist and don't play one on TV, but I think the example applies here. Usually, the COVID shot doesn't prevent catching the pestilence, but it makes most cases much milder than if you didn't have the vaccine. You can make your own mind up about the vaccine. You know, like Horizontal Harris and Sleepy Creepy Crooked President Uncle Joe, who both didn't want to take "Trump's vaccine" but now insist that everything that moves gets one, two, three, or seventy-six shots. And it sounds like natural immunity after an infection is best, but personally, I'd rather not catch it in the first place (as I have underlying problems, including heart disease and obesity). No vaccine is 100% safe or effective. Anyone who thinks that is a fool (or a Democrat, but I repeat myself). Every year, even with the flu shot, we lost people who caught the flu and had underlying problems (much like Gen. Powell, who passed away yesterday due to cancer and Parkinsons, yeah, and COVID and he had the shot). Or as the joke goes, good health is just taking longer to die than the rest of us. Last I checked, the incidence of death in the human population is 100%.

I'd suppose that Mayorkas caught the Wuhan Flu from one of the hundreds of thousands of unvaxxed illegals he welcomed across the border. But I doubt that Mayorkas has ever been to the border--except by online Zoom Meeting. Here's hoping Alejandro has pre-existing co-morbidities

There have been just under 1,700 deaths reported in the federal VAERS system with flu vaccines over 25 years, versus 16,766 deaths in 10 months with Covid vaccines. Flu shots work OK provided they guess the upcoming season's strains correctly. Covid shots provide wildly overstated protection that wears off within a few months, and carries a frightening litany of side effects including death and ongoing immune issues. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/10/senator-ron-johnson-no-point-mandate-whatsoever-covid-vaccine-16766-deaths-10-months-video/

Yes, #9. My 18 month old grandson tested positive. He had a low fever for about 4 hours and that was it. 6 weeks earlier he had had a really bad cold and I’m sure that the test picked up residual viral bits from that.

RE#5 Regarding the flu shots. Every year, some group of scientists sit around and try to divine which strains of flu will be prevalent that year. Flu shots are then developed to combat THOSE flus only. Sooooooooo....your protected from infection from one of the viruses that the shot was developed for. If a different strain gets into the wild, all bets are off.

President Biden on Wednesday repeated a story about being congratulated by an Amtrak conductor for traveling more than 2 million miles by rail even though the train employee was dead at the time the event supposedly took place. The president recalled the encounter with Angelo Negri on Wednesday during an appearance touting his ‘Build Back Better’ infrastructure plan in his native hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania. He claimed it had happened in the seventh year of his vice presidency—2015—even though Negri retired from Amtrak in 1993, and died in 2014.(Snip)‘Joey, baby!’ the president recalled Negri telling him. ‘I thought the Secret Service was going to shoot him.’

The federal vaccine mandate will soon apply to Justice Department employees, contractors and visitors to its buildings, but one group it won’t apply to is illegal immigrants showing up for their deportation case hearings. The migrants are deemed an exception to President Biden‘s mandates because they are seeking a public benefit or service. That means they will not have to prove they’ve been vaccinated or show a negative COVID-19 test from the previous three days. Their attorneys are also exempt. Those exemptions aren’t sitting well with immigration judges and other employees who will have to interact with the unvaccinated. They say allowing in unvaccinated and untested people defeats the purpose

In the next few weeks, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is expected to decide whether or not to authorize Pfizer-BioNTech's vaccine in younger kids in the next few weeks. If the jab is authorized, the Biden administration's plan to immunize kids will look very different than the campaign to inoculate adults. Child-size vials will be sent to providers across the country that can be kept in refrigerators along with smaller needles necessary for injecting young kids.(Snip)The White House is also preparing to mobilize
