We Need to Talk about Pakistan

Original Article

It was either Voltaire or Honoré Gabriel Riqueti, one of the founding fathers of the French Revolution, who observed that the now-former nation of Prussia “is not a state that has an army, rather an army that has a state.” In contemporary times, that description aptly applies to Pakistan. An examination of the history of Pakistan reveals several disturbing consistencies. In Pakistan, few ‘elected leaders’ ever complete their tenure in office. These ‘leaders’ are either executed or jailed after Pakistan's deep state stages a coup. The more fortunate manage to bribe their way out in exchange for being ‘exiled’ to a foreign country, where they live in great luxury.

Comments:

The problem is that our Deep State probably sees their Deep State as the example to emulate, not a problem to be solved. And our DS corrupt officials are probably funded by Pakistani corrupt officials....and probably great buddies behind the scenes.
How much of the US aid to Pakistan is kicked back to fund corrupt US pols like Nasty Nan and Evil Chuck?

There is a good reason that Bin Laden was "hiding out" just a stone's throw away from a military base in Pakistan. And then there is the Awan brothers - Pakistani IT guys to the stars in congress, with the help of Debbie.

This article does not give a true and complete picture unless viewed in the frame work of Subcontinental history and the origins of Pakistan which was created out of hatred of a Hindu majority. And that hatred has been the fuel of its existence. Since its creation it has committed three unprovoked attacks on India - all ending in disaster. The joke is that they start wars like Israel and end up like the Arabs. But now it is nuclear armed and there is no mirth in the situation. It IS the American Deep State that has nurtured this monster knowing fully well who is suffering and not caring. I personally see no clear solution except dismemberment and domination of the pieces by India.

If Wikipedia is to be believed Pakistan is the world's 5th most populous country and has the 6th largest standing army. It will soon surpass Indonesia as the world's most populous Islamic country. It's a headache that will not go away. Oddly, Obama has ties to both Indonesia and Pakistan.

This article has a tinge of envy associated. Mr. Laad would appear to have India's interests in mind as he wrote. He notes, "Pakistan has a strong group of lobbyists in the U.S. who neutralize unfavorable views of Pakistan and push Pakistan’s agenda to in the U.S." Well, here's some news...India is pushing native Indian candidates to accomplish more than that. There are already a few Indians in Congress, both parties, supported largely by ex-pat and Indian political party contributions. I have no love for Pakistan. It's a snake pit. And sometimes we have to deal with snakes. $22 billion over 18 years is chickenfeed. I find it difficult to fathom the USA had no idea where bin Laden was "hiding". I suspect he was too good a source of intel to disrupt while in exile...until he wasn't.

It’s not nearly as complicated as once I thought it was. It’s a top-down insurrection. All that it ever needed was a sufficient number of conspirators, in key positions, to network with each other. Granted, the numbers needed were large. That is why it took so many years to take hold. Once the threshold was reached, however, circa 2015 or 16, the treachery began in full swing. The plotters were delayed by one mistake, a very big one, in 2016. They underestimated the amount of electoral fraud that was needed to place Hillary Clinton in the White House. That set them back four years.

They said the same thing during the Jim Crow era too," NRA instructor Rick Ector, who is black, said in a video published by the NRA on Thursday morning. Ector held a two-day annual event at the end of August where he helped train 4,000 minority women from inner city Detroit on gun safety and use, explaining that Americans deserve to use their Second Amendment rights to protect

A rather remarkable situation in San Diego that we could see play out in the rest of the nation. The police union, The San Diego Police Officers Association (SDPOA), asked their members about the vaccination mandate. 65 percent of the respondents said they would consider quitting the force if the city were to impose a requirement. However, an alarming 45 percent said they would rather be fired than comply with the mandate. The SDPOA has 1,971 members. According to the San Diego Union Tribune, half of those officers are not vaccinated. If that half of the entire police department were to be fired

The rhetoric about and treatment of children over the past 18 months has flung open a window into the soul of America’s ruling class. As Nelson Mandela warned us, “There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way it treats its children.” To those constructing the new health tyranny, children post no threat and can be treated as things, not people. The budding tyranny we face was best described by C. S. Lewis: Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies.

Friday: I am reeling. Last night, as I have been doing for months, I did an episode of “my” internet show, “The World According to Ben Stein.” It’s a panel show lasting about an hour. The producer is my pal, Judah Friedman. None of us gets paid a dime. We talk about politics and economics and sometimes about internet dating (although I am happily married and don’t do internet dating). It’s a very small little enterprise, and we are all skeptical about everything. Until last night you could watch it on YouTube and Rumble and many other sites. Last night we talked about (among many other things) the Covid vaccine mandate.

Although August 15, 2021, will forever live in infamy as the date the Taliban reconquered Afghanistan, for over 13 centuries that date was famous for another event -- Constantinople’s defeat of the caliphate, August 15, 718. While these two events separated by exactly 1,303 years are vastly different in nature -- not least that in 718 Islam lost, while in 2021 it won -- they both confirm one irresistible point that the confident West should take to heart: the tenacity of Islamic jihad -- this relentless snake of war that always bides its time, even if by remaining coiled for many centuries, before striking.

During an interview regarding the recent suicide attack on Kabul airport, a former Navy SEAL quipped that no one making military decisions for the United States seems to have read a history book. Lack of knowledge, he implied, is partly why America is suffering a humiliating and unconscionable defeat in Afghanistan. Here, then, is a short skeletal history of Muslim-Christian relations beginning with Islam’s founding in 622 AD by Muhammad, an Arab military leader intent on unifying the Arab world and conquering the rest. The lessons learned might put us on the right path forward. Muhammad died in 632 and, soon thereafter, his followers began Muslim military advances into the Christian Levant.

On Friday at the Chatham House in London, the Democrat explained how the U.S. economy hasn’t benefited from capitalism. She insisted the U.S. can’t have a system that benefits some by depending on the exploitation of workers and the environment.“In America, capitalism is our system, it is our economic system, but it has not served our economy as well as it should,” said Pelosi. “And so, what we want to do is not walk away from it, but improve it and make sure it serves us.” (Tweet/Video)

A Hillary Clinton lawyer has been indicted for lying to the FBI in the Clinton campaign’s 2016 smear of Donald Trump. The lawyer lied to the FBI by stating that he was acting purely as a private citizen, while his own firm’s billing records prove he was actually working for Hillary’s campaign. As the current occupant of the office for which Hillary was campaigning might say in a rare lucid moment, “This is a big f*cking deal.”

One of today’s most important, and weirdly under-reported, news stories is the economic crisis that threatens Great Britain and, more broadly, Europe. Emergency talks were being held between government officials and food producers, retailers and the energy industry…. The closure of two fertiliser plants in northern England and others in Europe has left the food and drink industry facing a shortage of carbon dioxide, which

There were more media members than actual protesters. The threat was exaggerated. The liberal media may not know this yet, but even prior to January 6—the far right in America is…not big.
