‘Christian Evangelicals Are America’s

MSNBC host Joy Reid stirred up controversy earlier this week when she compared Christian conservatives to the Taliban. But Reid is hardly the only public figure on the left making that analogy.Actor Tim Russ, best known for playing Lieutenant Commander Tuvok on the sci-fi series “Star Trek: Voyager” and Principal Franklin on Disney’s “iCarly,” tweeted Monday that, “The Taliban are as fanatical about their beliefs and culture as the millions of people right here in the U.S. who believe in religion, conspiracy theories, and alternate reality.”This isn’t the first time Russ has disparaged Americans of faith generally or Christians specifically.

Evangelical Christians and the Taliban are about as similar as amphetamines and paper clips. The whole notion is about as demented as we might expect from MSLSD in general, or Joy Reid in particular. Absolutely idiotic.

Interesting, but I don't recall any Christians strapping on suicide vest and blowing up themselves and others in the name of Jesus. I don't recall Christians stopping people from evacuating from a war zone or killing or raping women because their hair wasn't covered. I do see a lot of Christian organizations helping people no matter their religion, without trying to convert them. I see Christian organizations feeding starving people around the world, sending aid and help to danger zones, and all kinds of other heroic acts. Most of this work is unseen and unappreciated by blowhard buffoons like Joy Reid and her counterparts. They would rather degrade and criticize the good work by Christians than acknowledge any positive actions.

It's interesting that the Left has suddenly decided to equate Christians with the Taliban. This is a classic propaganda technique in which you create an "action word" or term and use it to create fear or approval in the audience you're trying to influence. As an example, In Russia, during the Communist takeover, the action word used was "Bolshevik." The use of media and celebrities to disseminate the action word is also classic propaganda technique. Someone is very carefully directing all of this.

#8 - such thoughts are like any form of bigotry...that is, based on ignorance and irrational fear. Anyone truly paying attention knows that this whole propaganda campaign and racial manipulation are simply tools of the leftists, globalists and corporatists who are attempting to destroy our country and our freedoms by dividing us and fomenting hatred in order to obtain power and control over the masses. Race and ethnicity are, for the most part, irrelevant concepts anyway, especially in the United States of America. Race is not even a real thing. It is simply a man-made construct created by sociologists and anthropologists to study humans based on culture, language, and family traits. Genetically, we are basically the same. Different physical characteristics developed for survival reasons in the various climate and geographical environments. For instance, melanin developed to protect the body against the sun's UV rays and eye folds developed to protect one from snowblindness. Then, there was the issue of travel. Differences in physical characteristics, languages and cultures came about because of people's relative isolation from different peoples because travel was very limited up until the last couple of hundred years. Now, travel is commonplace and people mix, adopt new languages and cultures and intermarry with others whose ancestors came from many different areas of the world. If anything, race is not only irrelevant now but it is a very outdated concept. As I said before, genetically, we are all basically the same and we all actually belong to only one "race"--the human race. That said, I really believe there is no place for bigotry, especially among conservatives who believe that we are all individuals who should be judged solely on our character-- not on how someone looks or sounds.

I ask this question for two reasons: I have seen enough videos and read about enough officer-civilian interactions to know that the act of subduing a lethal threat requires several rounds. If an intruder entered my home and threatened my wife and child, I would shoot until I was able to ensure the target was immobilized. As to the first statement, there are plenty of examples of police officers firing multiple shots at a suspected threat. In the past year, the American public has been thoroughly able to parse through the shootings of criminals like Breonna Taylor and Antonio Brown, to name just two examples.
