A Minnesota man was arrested Wednesday in alleged connection to the cold case murder of a 15-year-old Chicago-area girl found stabbed to death in a field nearly five decades ago thanks to genetic genealogy, authorities said. Barry Lee Whelpley, 76, of Mounds View, was charged by the Will County State Attorney’s Office with murder in the death of Julie Ann Hanson, the Naperville Police Department in Illinois said. At a Friday court hearing, he waived extradition and is expected to return to the state within a few days. The retired welder was 27 at the time of the alleged killing and lived within a mile of Hanson's home, police said.

Comments:

Make you wonder how many other girls he raped and killed. I bet she is not the only one. If they commit a crime then they outta pay for it and I don't care who they are or the color of their skin.

I watched this on unsolved murders a television show about two weeks ago. I know because some backwards DNA was used to narrow down the hunt which was really deep scientifically. DNA has come a long way since the '80s.

There is no statute of limitations for murder. Vote fraud should be treated the same way!

Convicted he would die in prison. But at 76 it would only be a few years.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ first trip abroad to Guatemala and Mexico got off to a rocky start Sunday, when a technical issue grounded the plane after about 30 minutes into the flight. “I’m good. I’m good,” she told reporters after she deplaned. “We all said a little prayer, but we’re good.” Reporters heard an unusual noise coming from the landing gear, but the plane arrived safely back at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. This is what we heard from the mainstream media some minor plane issue and nothing more.

Cruz made the comment reacting to Facebook saying on May 26 that it would no longer ban posts suggesting COVID-19 is man-made amid mounting calls from President Biden and other officials for further investigation into the pandemic’s origins.

For nearly a year, Jefferson Square Park in downtown Louisville, often called Injustice Square, Breeway, or simply “the square,” has been a place where multiple rots started. The mainstream media however likes to call these riots peaceful protests. Protest in downtown Louisville led to 17 arrests, five cars towed, one confiscated gun, and a search for a driver who hit a protester with their car. Police provided video captured on Real-Time Crime Center cameras, which are on the Metro Corrections building by the corner of Sixth and Liberty streets, that showed an individual in a car appearing to be confronted by about 10 protesters on Liberty.

Thursday, Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) spoke about the Biden administration’s decision to close Mount Rushmore for the Fourth of July festivities, a contrast to a year earlier when then-President Donald Trump spoke before a fireworks display. The South Dakota Republican slammed the move, claiming it was part of the “radical left’s agenda.” “You know, the decision was really arbitrary,” she said. “That’s why we’ll be appealing this decision, and the fight isn’t over. There wasn’t specific reasons that had credibility, and we call this an unlawful act to not make sure that we can conduct our celebration on July 3 at Mount Rushmore like we did last year.

Late Friday the British publication DailyMail reported that the United States Department of Defense provided $39 million in grant funding to “EcoHealth Alliance” as part of the aggregated grant funding received by EcoHealth Alliance to conduct various types of “gain of function” virus research – a type of research in which scientists engineer viruses to make them more transmissible or lethal and which can be used to create bioweapons. EcoHealth Alliance used a large amount of its funding to support research projects on the subject at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, led by Chinese “bat virus” expert Dr. Shi Zenglhi — the “Bat Lady.”

Former President Obama criticized voting laws being passed by Republicans across the country, saying that such changes to the voting system is "rigging the game." He said during an Economic Club of Chicago event Friday about the new election integrity law in Georgia: That's the kind of dangerous behavior that we're going to have to push back on. Obama suggested that urban areas will face more barriers in order to vote, alleging that the law made a "different set of rules for how votes are counted in Atlanta versus how they're counted in the rest of Georgia."

Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton weighed in on Republican state legislatures pursuing basic election integrity measures in their respective states, contending that it “shouldn’t be a partisan issue” to reject such efforts. In a Monday social media post, Clinton likened the left’s radical attempt to overhaul U.S. election — stripping states of basic election safeguards such as voter ID — to “preserving America’s democracy.” “Preserving America’s democracy shouldn’t be a partisan issue. But the fact is that Republican-led legislatures have enacted at least 22 news laws this year restricting access to voting,” she claimed alongside a map from the Brennan Center for Justice.
