Oklahoma renames state
highway for Trump

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed legislation that would rename a stretch of highway for former President Donald Trump. The Republican governor signed an omnibus bridge and highway naming bill Friday, which renamed a 20-mile stretch of road, spanning from Boise City, Oklahoma, to the state's border with Texas, as the President Donald J. Trump Highway. The bill initially hit a roadblock when Democratic legislators pointed out that state law requires, in most cases, a person to be dead for at least three years before a road or bridge can be named in their honor, according to the Oklahoman. Republicans repealed the three-year waiting period, allowing the highway to be named after Trump.

Big whoop. A piddly little road out in nowhere that goes to another nowhere. That big honking I35 from Oklahoma City to Dallas would be a perfect road to have our presidents name. And, people would notice.

What did Orlando FL look like 50 years ago? Perhaps this will be the start of great tourism to the OK panhandle. Start with a PDT golf course and resort. Add some housing, shops and other tourist attractions. Then build the PDT library and Freedom Center. (Seminars for free enterprise, negotiating, diplomacy etc) (Melania's wing will feature her path to the west and shedding the psychological barriers of communism.) Oh Yeah, Don't forget a new interstate highway to the area.

Hey, I got an idea to reduce congestion on Interstate 35 here in Texas. Let's name it the President Donald J. Trump Highway. Our liberal friends would stop driving on the highway. Heck, you'd be able to get through Austin in 10 minutes (instead of an hour plus),

President Biden broke off negotiations with a group of GOP senators led by Sen. Kamala Harris is under some kind of pressure. It's hard to say what, given the working thesis (first seen in a tweet by Newt Gingrich) that Joe Biden appointed her to the position of border czar because he knew she would do nothing. But it's pretty obvious there were signs of strain in her face as she met with the president of Guatemala on Monday and then held a dual press conference. She looked like hell. Here are some camera shots from the NBC News report on the television set: [Snip for pictures] She actually looks pretty lost, uncertain, way out of her comfort zone. Not ready for prime time.

Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton weighed in on Republican state legislatures pursuing basic election integrity measures in their respective states, contending that it “shouldn’t be a partisan issue” to reject such efforts. In a Monday social media post, Clinton likened the left’s radical attempt to overhaul U.S. election — stripping states of basic election safeguards such as voter ID — to “preserving America’s democracy.” “Preserving America’s democracy shouldn’t be a partisan issue. But the fact is that Republican-led legislatures have enacted at least 22 news laws this year restricting access to voting,” she claimed alongside a map from the Brennan Center for Justice.
