After how the government, and far too many of the brain-dead lie-beral citizens of Seattle, have treated them, every Seattle cop should quit and go find jobs in towns that actually appreciate the hard and dangerous job that they do day after day!!!! Maybe Seattle can replace them all with social workers. Using lie-beral "logic", that should solve all of their problems!!!

What the city officials don't understand is that the police provide the only really valuable service in municipal government. They are peace officers. If business areas don't have peace they become targets of lawless behavior. They can't get insurance or employees and their value goes down. They eventually leave and take their tax base with them. This is an economic death spiral for any city. Without the protection of private property provided by police city real estate becomes worthless.

Gates,Bezo,Cook,Beniot,Zuck.., they want their own country. When the last cop leaves they will bring in their own police and this problem will be gone in 1/2 day. Their own city, county, airport, port, they can hide everything there free from DC politicians. This was the plan all along, and the average US citizen will never know because they control all the media. Coming to your neighborhood soon......

The Emerald City has been destroyed by one party rule. It has gone on so long and its tentacles are so far reaching into the culture, economy and even churches that nobody even fights back anymore. The senior members of the Seattle police surely saw this coming years ago. Democrats ran their union. I guess it had to get this bad before the Democrat cops woke up.

No, no those of you out there who do not understand, Seattle's crime rate will be going down now. If you legalize crime, have no cops to arrest criminals, and your drugged up population is just laying around being handed their next supply, there is no crime, therefore no need for cops. Of course the one crime that you can't hide or legalize is murder which is why it goes up in these little Utopias, but who cares? And who knows maybe they will legalize that too. Why not? Doesn't the argument for legalization of drugs work on the rest of criminal behavior? We can't win the war so surrender to the criminals? Why not?

You want to see the ramifications of democrat controlled cities? Look no further than Seattle or any democrat controlled city. This will be your future if democrats run your city, state or counties. They are lawless fools who operate under their own set of rules. I don’t blame these officers for leaving, in fact, I applaud their decision. There has to come a time when democrats are confronted with the consequences of their bad decisions. As for the people of Seattle, it is going to be a hard lesson to learn but clearly one that needs to happen. You cannot live your life in the world you imagine. Reality is a stern taskmaster. It intrudes in your little utopia with a vengeance. Despite what people believe, we all are capable of doing very bad things. Most of us, would not act on our worst feelings because we have a strong moral center and a belief in God. Those who deny God and want to use their own beliefs to keep the bad guys at bay do not have the understanding of the kind of reality that is needed to keep them safe. We need law enforcement, without it violence will explode. It will be the survival of the fittest. The strong will prey on the weak without a physical deterrent. It is human nature. Individuals who do not understand this will suffer severe consequences. Our society cannot exist without law and order. We will devolve into violence. The good people in Seattle who did not vote for this are to be pitied, but the writing is on the wall. Better to get out while the getting is good. It’s better to be alive and safe than to be in a community that offers nothing but violence and destruction. Your lives are worth more than a good selling price on your home. The United States has a lot to offer. Get out of the city and enjoy life. Want a safe community? Never ever vote for a democrat for any office. God bless every police officer in this country. I do not know how they get up everyday in these liberal wastelands and face the abuse they receive. It is a job that every sane person wants done but few of them want to do. I am so thankful for all the good police officers out there. You are appreciated.

In an indirect way, Bill Gates' wish to reduce the population is working. City governments can build walls around Seattle and Portland and charge people admission to watch through bullet-proof glass as the wild beasts kill each other in their native habitat. Once they run out of ammunition, more traditional weapons will be used.

I visited Seattle a few times for work assignments, many years ago. I was impressed -it was a nice place- back then. Sorry to hear what has happened there. On the other hand, if the elected officials are defunding the police, and if the elected officials are doing what the voting population (I don't know how many are Citizens and how many are Illegals) wants, then the voting population is getting exactly what they voted for. I am mildly curious to see what happens next, but I am glad to watch from a safe distance..... about 2500 miles away.
