The second sham impeachment of now-former President Donald Trump has begun and it’s already shaping up to be as big of a clown show as the first one was.Not only does it come at a time when Congress should instead be focusing on the lingering pandemic, a sputtering economy, tens of millions of Americans still unemployed or underemployed, new migrant caravans heading to our southern border, a China-Mexican cartel alliance pumping fentanyl into Middle America and killing thousands, but it’s also clearly unconstitutional.
Julie Strauss Levin, writing in the Virginia Star, makes this clear:President Trump’s attorneys have clearly responded to the absurd Article of Impeachment. Their answer on Trump’s behalf

The dems don't care what you think of them. The only that matters to them is power and money. Trump was threat to their scurvy self enrichment schemes so he had to go, by any means necessary. This show trial is meant to prevent anyone from ever doing what's in the best interest of America and Americans.

Our ruling elite, from the Democrats, to Big Tech, to RINOs, Deep State Bureaucrats, Media and Academic whores, and the Hollywood court jesters don't give a rip about what's "Constitutional."
To them, power, wealth and the ability to control the populace, is all that matters.
And the Constitution -- that's a piece of paper over at the National Archives that is there for the school kids to visit on their class trips to DC.

Bruce Castor is a Republican Party hack. I do not understand why Trump hired him.

The Democrats are getting exactly what they want. A week to smear Trump, and it has been a huge success. Even the Republicans have joined in.

The Democrats have been saying that this sham impeachment trial is all about holding people responsible for their actions. If anyone is responsible for what occurred on June 6th at the Capitol building, when a mob of nut jobs gained entry to the Capitol building it was Pelosi and McConnell. As they were the two ranking politicians in the House and the Senate making them ultimately responsible for the security of the Capitol building. This current impeachment trial is a distraction from holding the real incompetents, Pelosi and McConnell responsible for their incompetent security related actions on and before June 6th when Pelosi and McConnell failed in their responsibilities to keep the Capitol building safe and secure. The claims by both Pelosi and McConnell that the mob of nut jobs inside the Capitol was an “insurrection” won’t get it, because what it turned out to be was a cabal of angry, but unarmed Americans, waving American flags wandering through the halls without any Congress critters being assaulted or injured. The only person who has been shown to have been directly killed as a result is one lady who was shot by a law enforcement officer, while four others died that day, including one Capitol police officer, there is no evidence showing that they died by other than because of pre-existing medical conditions. Notice other than the sham impeachment trial that Congress has not held any hearings to determine why the security at the Capitol was so easily breached by that mob. Maybe they don’t want to know!

Gee -- Impeach Nancy and Chuckie and Schifty, but the house is in the control of the dims who have the sole power of Impeachment. So how? Since Constitutionality is is an ignored concept, have Donald Trump impeach any and all Democrats of interest. Have them tried on a new TV show hosted by the Donald with a jury chosen from the 74+ million disenfranchised voters who most definitely can fog a mirror.

Isn't Leaky Leahy being both the Judge and a Juror unconstitutional? Wish the spineless Chief Justice John Robert would publicly comment on the Constitutional basis of this impeachment and the status of Leahy as both Judge and Juror. Also, the ACLU, if that is what they really still are, should be vehemently disagreeing with this charade as an illegal action. Same with the supposed "legal scholars" at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and anywhere else that claims to be an elite law school. By allowing this kangaroo court to continue, all of these alleged high bastions of the law have proven the US Constitution impotent and useless.

By calling this sham impeachment trial of a former Republican President constitutional, the Democrats will probably look around to find another former Republican President to impeach, maybe Abraham Lincoln for inciting the Civil War?

Its 5pm now. Just turned on Fox News to see the 5. What I got was that lying scum Swalwell pontificating in front of the congress. I immediately switched it off, all the will cursing. My question is, why haven't the republicans called him out for consorting with CCP spies? Why does he get a free pass? He should be thrown out of congress and thrown in jail.

No one can predict what "Unconstitutional" means. The Constitution means whatever one black-robed tyrant says it means. Which side of the bed did John Roberts get up on this morning? Words have no meaning. Power has meaning.
