Former Vice President Mike Pence announced Wednesday that he’s opened an office in Arlington, Virginia, across the river from Washington. The Office of the Former Vice President will manage correspondence, scheduling requests, public statements, and official activities for Mr. Pence and former second lady Karen Pence. “The Vice President and Mrs. Pence look forward to continuing to elevate causes that are near and dear to their hearts and serving the American people when called upon,” they said in a statement. The Pences are living in northern Virginia and plan to move back to Indiana this summer, the statement said. A recent report speculated

#1 and #3, seriously? Here again, we see the verbal knives come out for a politician who faithfully and humbly served President Trump but refused to do something he considered unconstitutional. God forbid Pence should follow his conscience!

I transitioned my mind about pence. I think he should have rejected electors from at least 5 states based on overwhelming fraud requiring the state legislatures to audit the voter fraud. It literally did not require an act of congress.

There are people on this forum who have plainly stated that if Trump suggested they move to Russia they would gladly do so. On the other hand, democrats are united behind their socialist/communist ideology and would throw even Obama under the nearest bus if he so much as publicly uttered a positive word about conservatives or conservatism. It was not infatuation that motivated me to support Trump but his policy preferences and willingness to pick up the ball (e.g., the can) and run with it rather than kick it further down the road. Five times, through multiple tours in the military and in law enforcement, I've raised my right hand and swore an oath to preserve, protect, and defend our Constitution but have never put any individual ahead of that, although if it was my duty and/or I saw the necessity to do so, I would have risked/given my life to protect President Trump.

Why is that statement reminding me of the Maytag Repairman? :)

While Mike, the politician, was polishing the fine points of VPs responsibilities from a 1952 perspective, the rats stole the country. What is the point of being 'right' on some legal theory if there is no justice system to compare his interpretation vs what used to be the Constitution. THIS was the whole game Mr. Pence. You were the knot in the rope after the Supreme Court ran like the blackmailed cowards the majority of them are. Instead of fighting for our country, for your oath, with every fiber of your being, using every tool and trick you could muster, you let them smash it to bits. Now all of us face the unimaginable, because you didn't want to get your hands dirty fighting the most evil people to ever defile DC.

Pence had other previous set precedent options when he “counted” the fraudulent votes but took the cowardly way out. I have no respect for him anymore. Mitch got to him and he rolled over.

We need more than good men. We need good men that will stand up and fight for our constitution and not sit down while this country is turned into a socialist military dictatorship.

VP Pence will not be able to win a National Presidential election. Too many Republicans question him, the Dems and some Independents will go crazy over his religiousness. And it’s unlikely he’ll see much support from Trump supporters.

I received an email from some Pence organization. I unsubscribed. Pence served Trump loyally, but he's an uninspiring speaker, and the temperature drops 20 degrees when he enters the room. He's a classic GOPe guy. If that's what you like, go ahead and support him.

Vice-President Pence never had any intention of running for president. Despite the hate thrown his way now I remember countless posts here supporting his run in 2024,as Trump’s third term.
Despite what President Trump said during his speech prior to the riot, Pence had zero constitutional ability to challenge any state’s electors. That job was being done by the senators and congressmen right when the riot occurred. The riot essential ended that process which is a shame since the 2020 election needs to be examined with a fine tooth comb. Because of the riot that won’t ever be done.
President Trump’s rally that day was the biggest blunder of his presidency and perhaps his life. As for Pence, Trump’s repeated assertion that Pence could do anything to stop the certification is outrageous. I hope he has apologized to his loyal vice-president.

Did #2 and #4 post from Pontius Pence's transition headquarters in Arlington? Fun Fact - Pence's chief of staff was a rabid Trump hater and Pence himself was one of the prime architects of General Flynn's unjust firing at the start of the Trump Administration.

Pence decided the 1887 law regarding how to count ballots was still valid, and Constitutional ~ but he appears to have ignored the history surrounding that law.
It wasn't enough the South got concessions like Separate But Equal and the withdrawal of all Union troops from occupation duty in Georgia.... they continued the struggle ~ inside the government ~ and made sure they got in place a law that would make sure NO AFRICAN AMERICAN could ever become President, even if he or she managed to win that office with votes!
That's what that 1887 law was about ~ keeping black people out of the White House!
The Constitution itself provides the Vice President with much more authority than that law, which pretty much allows party bosses to squeeze the electors.
Frankly, Pence has no business going back to Indiana. There's no welcome there, nor should there be. He betrayed the Union Veterans who freed the slaves and united the Nation ~ my Great and Great Great Grandfathers who fought in Indiana regiments against the rebels.

Good for you #2, you are a brave person to admit that. My bet you are the only person on this site that respects this traitor clown. He could not win dog catcher after his betrayal of ALL the U.S. voters during the electoral count.
Oops, I was wrong. You can throw #4 in the batch.

#16 states that January 6 was the biggest blunder for President Donald Trump. Nope, it was a chance for people to protest (peacefully) the election debacle. Since election day, we have had officials, court systems or whatever reject any effort to look into the fraud. #16 should place the blame on the correct individuals - the people who infiltrated the peaceful protest.
I am very disappointed with Mike Pence that he did not follow through on January 6. He probably still believes that the Trump supporters were responsible for the violence on January 6.

Sticking around to collect his pieces of silver. Bottom line PenceKNEW there had been widespread meaningful fraud and chose to hand the keys to the country over to the real insurrectionists. And #18 is absolutely correct. Pence was never a Trump supporter and always a deep stater, put in place by Uniparty to take Trump out.
Pence failed to acknowledge and announce the other set of electors set from each of several states. Which has occurred in the past so don’t give me the no precedence baloney. He spoke some mealy mouth statement
Also what Trump asked was for Pence to return the certification to the state lawmaker who had requested this action.

Mike Pence is probably a good man, husband, father, etc., etc. However, he is a totally UNinspiring politician with little or no charisma of any kind. He is Indiana-nice and that just won't win a general election. I wouldn't vote for him because I suspect he is more devoted to China Mitch (for Mitch's Chinese money) than he is to anything else.

Has anyone been watching Gov. DeSantis lately? I like what I see. He is tough like Trump. I think he would make a good president, however, if things get really bad, I might want to move to Florida, provided DeSantis was still governor.
