Riotous rogue Trump supporters who broke into the Capitol on January 6 were properly and widely condemned by conservatives. They were somewhat reminiscent of the mobs of fanatic leftists and union members that a decade ago stormed the Wisconsin state capitol at Madison, or the unpunished hundreds of rioters who created havoc on Washington, D.C. streets during the Trump 2016 inauguration. We expect the Capitol stormers will be punished, and not in the lax fashion of the latter two groups that were not.
Within a few days, the talking points were finalized that all of Donald Trump’s supporters deserved blame for the violence.

Could not make it past “Riotous rogue.” VDH has a bit of George Will-style self righteousness about him. The Capitol demonstrators engaged in civil disobedience regarding maybe the most significant domestic affront in the last 40 years. My only criticism is that they lacked a specific objective for which they should have held out, such as demanding a 10-day review as Giuliani proposed. Get real, Victor!

First of all, NO ONE broke in. They were invited.
Second of all, The Liberal Werewolves - the False Flags who together with the Capitol Police did most if not all of the damage.
Third of all, those same, aforementioned individuals who did the damage will NEVER be prosecuted.
Fourth of all, Who... Shot... The... Four-time serving Air Force Vet? WHO!!!?
Blood has been spilled. We will NEVER forget. Not this time. We tried to forgive and forget the travesty of the American Civil War. Look where it got us? The same fools or their descendants still coming back to enslave us. And we WILL fight back.
And those evil self-styled, selfish Elites will turn the full might of the U.S. military on their own country to protect themselves from their justly deserved demise. Millions WILL die.
If Trump's crowd had actually wanted to be violent, no one in Washington could have stopped them, and we'd probably be better off.

I suggest reading the whole article.

Conservatives are like that fellow who relentlessly followed the man who raped and murdered his wife, and after years of swearing vengeance, caught up with the culprit. When he finally found this murderer, pulling his gun, he called out...and the devil turned around to look him in the face.
"Yeah, I done it. And I'd do it again, it was such fun to hear her squeal. What are you going to do about it?"
The vengeful widower squinted slightly as he raised his weapon. Anger rising...righteousness within him. "Well, don't let it happen again," he told him, then he turned and walked away.

“Talking points within a few days”....
This was a planned pretext, with plenty of fake points orchestrated BEFORE the President’s remarks were completed.

If the storming of the Capitol was primarily a pro Trump event it completely lacked ant semblance of tactical awareness. I don't think "we" are that stupid. I do believe that "we" are sufficiently naïve to repeatedly under estimate the ruthlessness of the opposition leading "us" to fall into one trap after another.
Despite the open door tour of the capitol, windows did get broken. I wonder if a single Trump supporter broke a window or participated in any vandalism or theft.
The challenge remains the mind control of our neighbors. The truth won't win unless it comes to light and there is a network of control preventing that from happening.
I think it's time to ask my closest democrat friends if they fear me, and think I'm a Nazi etc.. If not follow up with why do they support people who make that assertion. Demonizing the enemy is the precursor to atrocity.

Classic VD-H. Which is totally irrelevant to today's most pressing issue: Dem intention to codify into law all of the cheating that enabled their 2020 steal.
Mr. D-H needs to put his big brain on the target. At the moment I don't give a rip about Euripides or Xerxes or the Battle of Plinth. I need him to insist on recognition of the stinkin election steel, document the ACTUAL abetting of that steal by the courts and deep state, and vow to PREVENT it going forward.
Otherwise, Mr. D-H will be nothing more than a modern day Suetonius, documenting Nero for his destruction of Rome but of no use toward preventing it.
How do you like it, D-H?

The democrat reprogramming effort is falling on deaf ears. We are not the same people that we were in 2016 and our memories of an illegal government that began during the reign of Barack Obama are vivid. Remember the last line of Orwell's 1984, "He loved Big Brother"
The question before us is, will we fulfill Orwell's nightmare or will we knock Big Brother off his feet and step on him?

I, too, could not get past 'rogue Trump supporters' to finish the article. Never once have I noticed Hanson leading from a false premise. This is a first, seemingly. However, I am glad I read the entire article. (Hanson has been a cove of calm for me in the roiling media tumult.) I was drawn to the imagery of the River of Forgetfulness metaphor. Thanks, #3.
A very young pastor taught our teens that upon trusting God, he'll forgive your sins, and toss them into the River of Forgetfulness and put up a No Fishing sign.

Well there he goes, back into the NeverTrump sewer he crawled out of. VDH is not to be trusted ever again as far as I am concerned. He contributed to the fury at NRO in that infamous issue, and he now has started up with the sly snarky insults. Those were Antifa rioters and your denials and your hate for Trump will not ever erase that.
For if they really were Trump supporters, they would have been racked over the coals good and toasty by now. The fact they haven't been is just more proof that those were Antifa goons who infiltrated. Go retire to your 'farm' or whatever it is you do, for your continued ignorance and snark is no longer wanted.
