Retired Army General Stanley McChrystal has compared the MAGA riot to the evolution of Al-Qaeda saying in both instances people followed a 'powerful leader' who 'justified their violence', as he warned America is headed for a homegrown insurgency. McChrystal, the former commander of American troops in Afghanistan, said there are terrifying parallels between the birth of the terrorist group responsible for the September 11 terrorist attacks and the violent siege on the US Capitol last week that left five dead and sent shockwaves around the world. Donald Trump has given his supporters 'legitimacy to become even more radical', he told Yahoo News,

Amazing that this disgrace to his uniform was Special Forces. He shamelessly butt kissed Obama before, during his stint in Afghanistan, and even after the first Muslim stolen election Ex-Dictator Obama ruthlessly fired him and sent him home in disgrace.
How did this dirt bag ever make it through the Q course? Somehow he lost his sense of duty, honor, honesty, dignity and the solemn oath he took to defend our country and constitution. He needs to start living up to the Green Beret motto of De Oppresso Liber - To Free the Oppressed. Somewhere in his career he became terribly warped.

The Evil One purged hundreds of senior officers who objected to his "fundamental transformation", and kept the one who were willing to bypass the Constitution, one of them being McChrystal.

Man, I don't believe I have read so many lies in one article in a long time. Almost every statement is a lie, a half-truth, or part of the "narrative" about President Trump and his supporters. As for McChrystal, he is one of those Perfumed Princes that Colonel David Hackworth wrote about. He did such a great job commanding U.S. forces against the taliban that we are pulling out our troops and the taliban is still there.

The nice thing is that the leader we have supported loves our country, honors our Constitution and was true to it, loves the people (has never called any part of the population stupid, deplorable, smelly or anything else) and respects the Flag for what it symbolizes.
I'm thinking the General is on the deluded end of the sicko spectrum.

Reply #7 "Califedup" is right on the mark:
"Amazing that this disgrace to his uniform was Special Forces"
There is historical precedent a General betraying his CIC and his country:
Benedict Arnold, was an actual hero for a number of revolutionary battles, most notably the capture of Fort Ticonderoga (and it's cannons) in 1775. He was Washington's favorite general until, as commander of West Point, he plotted with the British to capture the fort while General Washington was scheduled to be there so that Washington could be captured.
To misapply a common phrase, "Past Experience is not guarantee of Future Performance"

I have to laugh. My idiot libturd BIL constantly sounded off over the past 20 years about how he would send his son to Canada lest he fight in an unjust U.S. war. Back in October he proudly declared his vote would be for DumbBiden because “Trump is only about enriching himself” through the Presidency. Uh, Trump was bringing our troops home, never started a war, you imbecile. God I despise libturds. So stupid, so gullible.

I truly hope that if nothing else comes of this destruction of our country, conservatives will stop assuming military generals are honorable people by virtue of their rank alone. They arent. They are politicians first. Leaders comes second if at all.

Cashiered by Barack Obama himself for one of the most serious offenses a military official can commit: publicly expressing contempt for his civilian superiors. If he is rewarded with a position in the Biden Administration, that would be conclusive evidence that Mr. Biden's memory is fading since Biden is the official McChrystal was fired for insulting.

McChrystal's future job of fomenting war and selling Ammo for that war was hurt by the President who failed to initiate a war. Now the treasonous money-grubbing SOB will have to live off his retirement.

I respected McChrystal when he ran Special Ops. Now, no so much. It's amazing what you can get some people to say if there's enough money in it for them. How career military can sell their souls for Socialism is something I'll never understand.

Trump mitigated the disaffection in the correct way, by listening to people and fixing things. McChrystal thinks it should have been a firrm cramdown? That iis the voice of the ancient regime clinging to privilege.

The brave general is upset that President Trump took American men and women out of harm's way in pointless wars that reaped no benefit whatsoever to the USA, but that let generals like him become heroes far from the frontlines. His lack of insight into who was behind the US Capitol attack also explains why we still have boots on the ground in Afghanistan 20 years later.
