The far-left Washington Post reports that if Joe Biden wins the presidential election, he intends to bring back the Obama era phone and pen approach with a flurry of executive orders.“President-elect Joe Biden is planning to quickly sign a series of executive orders after being sworn into office on Jan. 20, immediately forecasting that the country’s politics have shifted and that his presidency will be guided by radically different priorities,” the far-left Post reports, and does so inaccurately by referring to Joe Biden is “president-elect.”Joe Biden is not president-elect. Until a few days ago, a Biden presidency was simply unthinkable. A bullet-point presentation on why Biden should never, ever be anywhere near the Oval Office would need dozens of slides—and that’s just for the bullet points. On November 3, we all went to bed looking at those red-or-blue maps of the states, more or less secure in the knowledge that President Trump was on course to win a historic victory. A massive Republican wave was giving Trump a 3.6 point lead in Florida—by Florida standards, a landslide. Other states were coming along—could Trump really do much worse in Arizona, or Pennsylvania, or Michigan? And so, on Tuesday night,

My source for all things Georgia politics, a Republican insider, filed this report today:
Georgia is now the political center of the universe. Trump’s team is here looking into voter irregularities and reports of fraud. Secretary of State Raffensperger announced today that there was a machine issue from the Friday count in Fulton County that they are now looking into. Former Governor/AG Secretary Sonny Perdue [not to be confused with Senator David Perdue] is taking the lead on the PR side for the Trump Team here, and the state GOP is working in concert to determine next steps.

The signs of theft and fraud in the presidential election are everywhere, but the Republicans are unwisely starting to cave. On Fox's The Five, the panel — including the intensely pro-Trump Jesse Watters — were, as of November 6, already summing up President Donald Trump's achievements, which they deemed considerable, and are moving on. A pro-Trump friend of mine insisted to this writer that Trump is only a passing figure in a national and populist surge that began well before Trump and will continue and grow after Trump.

As the fate of control of the Senate is still in doubt, two senate races in Georgia are likely headed for run-off elections on Jan. 5, because so far none of the candidates received above 50 percent of the vote.
Democrats will likely need to win both of them to retake the majority for the first time since 2014. However, what appears to be a major loophole for potential voter fraud has created a strong likelihood that the balance of power in the US Senate will be decided not by current Georgia residents but by many new voters not in Georgia today.

Earlier today, we discussed how one of the biggest losers of the 2020 elections might have been the public’s faith in the electoral process. Continuing on with the list of also-rans, the editors at the Washington Free Beacon dug into some of the ballot issues that were decided this week, along with the identity politics driving various demographics to the polls. Their conclusion is that one of the most damaged entities coming out of this race is the woke utopia envisioned by the Democrats’ furthest-left agitators, which seems to have been roundly rejected by voters even as they threatened to end the Trump presidency.

The Washington Post reported yesterday, "‘Make liberals cry again’ became the battle hymn of the Republicans under Trump."
And they are crying! Unbelievable. It is the oddest and most amusing development of 2020.
The New York Times reported, "Amid Tears and Anger, House Democrats Promise ‘Deep Dive’ on Election Losses."
The first paragraph was delicious. Enjoy: "Democrats wept, cursed and traded blame on Thursday during an extraordinary party confab to dissect the disappointing results of this week’s elections, agreeing on little except that they needed a 'deep dive' into how they had ended up with painful losses that weakened their House majority instead of the big gains they had boldly predicted."

Lost in all the media manipulation of the election was a huge story. President Donald John Trump once again set an economic record that the press has largely ignored. In just 6 months, President Trump cut the unemployment rate by more than half.
Covid 19 pushed the unemployment rate from a 50-year low of 3.5% in February to an 80-year high of 14.7% in just 2 months.
A recovery that the experts said would take years or even a decade has taken just 6 months.

Unless one or more of Trump's baseless sore-loser lawsuits prevails, we can expect Biden to replace Trump in the Oval Office on Jan. 20, sending Trump into political retirement and restoring stability, competence, integrity and honesty to the White House.
This will be a welcome development after four years of Trump’s chaotic and failed administration that has been like none in modern American history.

Take a deep breath. Savor the fact that President Trump has only a couple of months left to harm the country — with the power of the federal government, anyway. Then replace the relief with realism. All the huge problems Trump made worse require the nation to make the kind of progress the political system has not managed in a decade, or longer, and Joe Biden will face higher obstacles to getting anything done. Once inaugurated, President Biden will face either a Republican Senate or one that is barely Democratic — and most likely the former. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), a master of obstruction, once again

(Bloomberg) -- Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. has defeated Donald Trump to become the 46th U.S. president, unseating the incumbent with a pledge to unify and mend a nation reeling from a worsening pandemic, faltering economy and deep political divisions.
Biden’s victory came after the Associated Press, CNN and NBC showed him winning Pennsylvania and gaining more than the 270 Electoral College votes needed to secure the presidency. Trump sought to undermine the outcome, baselessly accusing Democrats of trying to steal the election and claiming victory before the race was called.

It turns out that some things that happen in Vegas may not stay in Vegas . . . like voting. The Republican Party in the Silver State is now arguing that thousands of votes in the close presidential election were cast by workers who moved out of the state or even by deceased individuals. Various voters reported their deceased relatives receiving live ballots in the mail. Now, the Nevada Republican Party has sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department alleging at least 3,062 instances of voter fraud in the battleground state. The referral is substantially less than the “10,000” referenced earlier but the underlying allegation is still important.

President Donald Trump jumped out to vote leads in several states despite Democrats doing everything they could to game the election in the prior weeks. By today’s standards, the 82nd Airborne’s sacrifice in Normandy seems almost fantastical. When the elite division vaulted Nazi Germany’s Atlantikwall to launch the invasion of occupied Europe, Allied leaders fully expected few of its members would return. It was a suicidal mission, and 82nd Airborne was calculatedly sacrificed inland in hopes of ensuring indispensable amphibious landings along the coast.
Among Allied planners, casualty predictions for 82nd Airborne ranged as high as 75 percent. The most optimistic planners forecast 50 percent casualties, and by casualties, those planners meant deaths, not the generally accepted and all-inclusive definition of the word.

Being a conservative is difficult, as it should be. If there were a strong, universal disposition to value and perpetuate a constitutional republic, the exertions required to conserve it would not be necessary.
The Right’s burden, however, is lightened by the Left’s arrogance. Progressives’ responses to the 2016 election are indistinguishable from their reactions to the 2020 election, notwithstanding the detail that Donald Trump won last time and (apparently) lost this time. It seems that progressives have not only forgotten nothing and forgiven nothing but also learned nothing—exactly the way progress is not supposed to work.

Democrats charged into the election as a unified party, setting aside deeply felt divisions to maximize Joe Biden’s chances of defeating President Trump. But as Biden closes in on the presidency, old fissures have resurfaced and new ones are erupting, driven by unexpected losses among Democrats running for the House and Senate and areas where Trump was surprisingly strong. That’s creating an anxiety and strain unusual for a party that stands on the cusp of accomplishing its biggest goal. Moderates blame liberals for promoting socialism and proposals to “defund the police.” Liberals are warning Biden not to cozy up to

Obviously, I think to make it more easy for them to pull the kind of tricks that I know that they’ve pulled in the past, having been from Pennsylvania.

There is no denying that the American left has become fully totalitarian as a result of the Democratic party's embrace of radical socialists and anti-Semites. A prime example of the vicious element that has been growing increasingly powerful is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the taco bar revolutionary who in a twisted modern version of the classic fairy tale Cinderella, has become arguable the most powerful member of the Democrat Congress. Since she burst onto the political scene in the summer of 2018, AOC has shown that she is a petty, vindictive, vicious and cruel person who lies without consequence and has a formidable Twitter mob

Since antiquity, military commanders leading expeditions have burned their boats so that nobody would be tempted to desert the battles ahead and head for the safety of home. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, by calling for lists of Trump supporters to be compiled, has in effect burned the boats for those Republicans tempted to concede the presidential election and pledge their support to Biden, so that the media and Democrats (they imagine) will be kind to them.
"Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future?"

Just a week ago, members of both parties were anticipating another Democratic “blue wave” election — Republicans with fear, Democrats with delight. Not only would President Trump and Trumpism be soundly repudiated in a landslide loss, but Democrats would ride Joe Biden’s coattails to establish a stable Senate majority, picking up perhaps a dozen U.S. House seats along the way.
How wrong everyone was. Even assuming Biden is declared the winner, he will have won in relatively close contests in several competitive states — and, at best, Democrats will end up with a 50-50 Senate. As for the House, Democrats are now more likely to lose ground

In a week of surprises, California’s rejection of a ballot measure that would have allowed the state to resume its affirmative action program was among the most significant.
The measure, known as Proposition 16, wasn't defeated by shy Trump voters. Polling showed Hispanic and other minority voters evenly split on the measure, and on Tuesday it was defeated in California's most Latino counties.
California's result is just one piece of the mounting evidence that voters on Tuesday threw a wrench in the progressive plan to leverage a "coalition of the ascendant" and an "emerging Democratic majority" to turn the country into a woke utopia.

Even as members of the mainstream media largely dismiss concerns about possible voter fraud, they are ignoring Philadelphia's long history of endemic political corruption.
Less than six months ago, for example, a former Philadelphia Judge of Elections pled guilty and was convicted for his role in accepting bribes to cast fraudulent ballots and certify false voting results during the 2014, 2015, and 2016 primary elections.
Domenick J. Demuro, 73, Judge of Elections for Philadelphia's 39th Ward, 36th Division, pled guilty during a sealed proceeding on March 16 before U.S. District Judge Paul S. Diamond to conspiring to deprive persons of civil rights, and using interstate facilities in aid of bribery.

Hispanic activists had promised that President Trump’s immigration policy, insulting rhetoric and handling of the coronavirus pandemic — with a disproportionate impact on Hispanics — would earn him the lowest share of their votes in modern American history. They were wrong.
The main news media consortium’s exit polling showed Mr. Trump expanding his share of the Hispanic vote from 28% in 2016 to 32% this year. A separate exit poll for The Associated Press and Fox News showed Mr. Trump winning 35%, which would be the second-best performance for any Republican since Ronald Reagan.

The presidential election seems to be going South and a Joe Biden administration may be in the offing. It is a bitter pill to swallow and I am profoundly depressed. Nevertheless, here are a few mostly-optimistic observations on the current scene.
* My guess is that in a perfect world, where only legal voters vote, and everyone votes only once, President Trump won the election. The problem is that, while there is ample evidence of many instances of voter fraud as well as innocent mistakes, there is no time to investigate them thoroughly and “prove”–as the press keeps demanding–that fraud or error

We gather to bury a familiar trope, an old chestnut that hung around for years but finally succumbed to the facts last Tuesday night. It never should have lasted this long, frankly, but was artificially kept alive by the witch doctors who know how to do such things.
The myth of Mitch McConnell’s unpopularity is finally dead, buried by the Senate majority leader’s crushing 20-point victory over Amy McGrath. And replacing that urban legend is simply the truth: McConnell is, in fact, the most popular Kentucky politician in modern history.

DALLAS – When U.S. Senator John Cornyn won his fourth term this week, he not only defeated Democratic challenger MJ Hegar by ten percentage points, he also won more votes in Texas than President Donald Trump.
Senator Cornyn has 5,931,602 votes so far, which is 71,506 votes more than President Trump, who has 5,860,096 votes.
The President defeated Democrat Joe Biden by 648,690 votes or six percentage points, 52%-46%, while Cornyn defeated Hegar by ten percentage points, 54%-44%.
That’s a change from what we have seen in most previous elections in Texas, when the Republican Presidential candidate won more votes than anyone else in the state.

It is possible that Joe Biden honestly won the election. Alternatively, maybe the Democrats cheated in key vote counts. The thing is, we probably never will know. Unless the courts really delve into the morass, Biden never will have legitimacy. Like Roger Maris’s 61st home run in 162 games that beat Babe Ruth’s record of 60 in 154 games, he always will have an asterisk near his name. He will lack the moral authority to govern.
Had the Democrats accepted the legitimacy of George W. Bush’s clear wins, had they accepted the legitimacy of Donald Trump’s 2016 win, had they comported themselves like a loyal opposition

This was a Coup. It lacked, at least for the moment, the spilled blood often associated with a classic coup d’etat but make no mistake about it – this was a coup. (snip) platitudes simply won’t fly this time. These corrupt actions by corrupt people who believe they can steal the presidency with impunity will not be swept under the rug by virtue of sheer media sleight-of-hand. Unlike the complex and faraway felonies recently disclosed in Hunter Biden’s laptop, these crimes against democracy have immediate and discernible individual victims whose disenfranchisement can be neither denied nor tolerated.

This year’s presidential election hasn’t provided the catharsis that many on the left were awaiting. Instead of the hoped-for “Blue Wave,” we have a still-too-close-to-call presidential election, while Republicans picked up House seats and appear to have held on to the Senate.
One response might be self-criticism: to wonder how, after four years of single-mindedly trying to get rid of Trump and marginalize his followers, things didn’t go better. Instead, Democrats’ thinkers seem to be asking themselves variations on “How can I live in a country where half the people supported Donald Trump?”

For now, it appears that Joe Biden will become the forty-sixth president — but potentially with a historically hostile Congress for a first-termer. At best, Democrats’ hold on the House has slipped, thanks to unexpected losses in a cycle where their party reclaimed the White House. At worst, it still might end up in Republican hands, although that would require the GOP to pull an inside straight on all of the outstanding House races left. (Snip)At the moment, Democrats need ten more seats to keep the majority, while Republicans need 23 — practically all of the outstanding races.

The home of a Portland, Ore., city commissioner was targeted by protesters this week over his refusal to support $18 million in cuts to the police budget.
A group of around 60 people marched in the rain Thursday from Arbor Lodge Park to Commissioner Dan Ryan's home. Once there, they smashed a window, broke a flower pot and threw burning flares and paint-filled balloons at the home, authorities said.
Dozens of state troopers and Multnomah County sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene and ordered the group to leave. No one was arrested.

Mother Jones D.C. bureau chief David Corn was panned on social media after he revealed what he described as his "private act of mourning" during the Trump presidency.
President Trump is facing a tough road to 270 electoral votes as ballot counts in several battleground states continue to favor Joe Biden, prompting the Trump campaign to launch legal battles amid the tight margins.
Corn took to Twitter on Friday and proclaimed that for the past four years, he was apparently making a subtle fashion statement.

Joe Biden appeared late Friday evening and claimed he received a “mandate” from American voters, but he stopped short of declaring victory.“We don’t have a final declaration of victory yet,” he said, and argued the numbers tell “a clear and convincing story: We’re going to win this race.”Biden touted his new-found leads in Georgia and Pennsylvania. The 2020 election in particular, and our electoral process in general, have been badly compromised. First there have been the successful efforts by Democrats to loosen electoral administration standards and practices by legalizing ballot harvesting (where partisan “volunteers” go out and collect ballots as well as “assist” voters in filling out their ballots), allowing same-day voter registration, mass mail-in voting, and the like. On the flipside we have Democrats tenaciously fighting any efforts to shore up the integrity of the system, such as requiring ID and proof of citizenship to vote. Couple all of this with unprecedented last minute rule changes

Major media outlets have begun to gaslight GOP voters in the wake of a contentious and still unsettled election using false or misleading claims attributed to Republicans who are supposedly rebuking President Donald Trump. The UK’s Daily Mail, for instance, published a story under a lengthy headline that is blatantly false: “Mitch McConnell says EVERY vote must be counted in a veiled rebuke to Trump – as GOP’s Pennsylvania senator calls president’s conspiracy-theory rant ‘hard to watch’ and says there is NO large scale fraud.”
