President Donald Trump and his Democratic challenger, Joe Biden, spent more than an hour during the first presidential debate in Cleveland, Ohio, brawling over how best to manage the deadly coronavirus crisis, taxes, climate change, and a host of other domestic policy issues. The messy debate frequently turned nasty, featuring shouting matches and repeated interruptions that left the moderator — Fox News’ Chris Wallace — and our panel of election experts deeply frustrated.“Both landed some shots. Both interrupted too much and acted like children,” said Matt Mackowiak, a longtime Republican strategist, podcast host

Trump deserves some criticism for behavior but not for lack of truth, he had his facts straight, as usual. Biden repeated his lies/promises with some degree of coherence. If I had gone through what Trump has been put through since 2016, I would probably be much more angry and testy than he was.

When a truth teller is "debating" a liar and the liar is abetted by the moderator, the gloves come off. President Trump fought the fight for us the only way he knows how. To win. He won last night...on his terms.

How can Trump have any less than an A on the Supreme Court question? He is President and has the right and obligation to do what he is doing under the Constitution. Trump also deserves an A for his law and order answer--he was at his best there. Biden's best answer was saying he would accept the election either way. The rest of his answers lacked substance and he deserves an F for refusing to answer the court-packing question and a D- for saying it wasn't his job to tell the governors in riot states to accept federal help.

Sometimes these so-called republicans make me want to smack them with my clue x 4. I don't know what debate they watched, but it is obvious to me that they are the audience who wants the soft ear tickles and dulcet tones of being lied to, vs honesty, integrity and a president who puts the country first. Trump had a 2 on 1 situation last night, and that is what these so-called pundits should have focused on. Wallace's total and complete unprofessional bias was totally on display. He may has well have been on stage standing right by his buddy Biden.

After dodging creditors for decades, Joe Biden’s slimy grifting brother Frank Biden finally agreed to pay part of the $ 1 million he owes the family of a man killed in a car accident in 1999. Frank Biden, then 43, was sitting in the passenger seat when he shifted the 290hp car into manual and told the driver to ‘punch it’ before hitting and killing Michael Albano in Cardiff, California. Biden allegedly told the driver to ‘keep driving’ and fled the scene of the accident. A passenger reportedly said everyone in the car was drinking. Michael Albano was a single father who left behind two young orphaned daughters.

President Trump on Thursday slammed potential changes to rules for future presidential debates after the acrimonious first clash with Joe Biden this week.“Why would I allow the Debate Commission to change the rules for the second and third Debates when I easily won last time?” Trump wrote on Twitter. The Commission on Presidential Debates, which since 1987 has organized the forums, said Wednesday it’s considering moves to make the two additional debates more orderly.“Last night’s debate made clear that additional structure should be added to the format of the remaining debates to ensure a more orderly discussion of the issues,” the commission said.

President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden went head-to-head on Tuesday night, and moderator Chris Wallace got knocked out. Biden stumbled but he did not come across as a bumbling fool. While Trump and Biden both went on the offensive, Trump got in more clear statements and Biden came across as shifty, especially on packing the Supreme Court.

With 24 hours having passed since the first presidential debate, it’s becoming clear that Trump won in a big way. It wasn’t an apparent victory, but it was a real one: He showed his base and ordinary Americans that he will always fight while forcing Biden to disavow both his hard-left base and the last of the old-fashioned Democrats who still support him Don’t pay too much attention to the pessimistic pundits. The worriers worried, the haters hated, the ambivalent were ambivalent, the cheerleaders cheered. Personality may not be destiny, but it determines post-debates reviews.
