The Republican National Committee launched a $10 million campaign to promote President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett to “hold Democrats accountable” for what the GOP called their “hypocrisy” on the nomination process to the high court.
The initiative, rolled out after the president formally nominated Coney Barrett to the high court on Saturday from the White House Rose Garden, includes a $10 million digital ad campaign, a new website and a get-out-the-vote effort in target states. The RNC said Saturday that the initiative also includes a “massive rapid response operation” to amplify Coney Barrett’s record, while “harnessing voters’ enthusiasm about appointing a constitutionalist”

If they have the votes, why spend this money?

"The RNC said Saturday that the initiative also includes a “massive rapid response operation” to amplify Coney Barrett’s record, while “harnessing voters’ enthusiasm about appointing a constitutionalist” to the Supreme Court, and “motivate and persuade” voters to the polls on Election Day."
This is why they are spending the money. An additional incentive to motivate republican voters to go out and vote down ticket. If you read past the first paragraph you would know that.

Agree with previous posters. With votes in hand, why blow $10 million that could help GOP congressional and senatorial candidates so President Trump can get some help for a change. We need a republican majority in the senate and house to really get a conservative agenda to become a reality. If the democrats keep the HOR, there is no chance of solving the immigration and voter fraud issues.

If the dems act with their usual outrageous obnoxiousness during the hearings, just before the election, it will put even more votes in Trump.s column.

I like the idea. To point out the duplicity and perfidy of the Democrat party’s unhinged efforts to block Barrett’s confirmation will have a residual affect on November voting for down ticket races.

Getting Judge Barrett some exposure is good as it will provide needed publicity for the pubbie Senators. But, the RNC shouldn't make it look like Judge Barrett is running for political office. Rather, have any publicity focus on her judicial appointment and confirmation.

The money is used to motivate conservatives to get involved with the nomination and start contacting their senators and let them know how they expect them to vote, especially voters with Dem senators. Remind them that a few of their colleagues were out of a job after the Kavanaugh hearings.

They could save 10 million by going directly for an up or down vote but then, that would take courage and that's something the Republicans replaced with Depends decades ago. Amy's life will be destroyed now and the Republican party is going to pay to let the Marxists to do it. Brilliant Mitch, just brilliant. Stupid that can't be fixed.

It's all good advertising for the RNC. It makes all look better in a time of ugly Left politics. It makes President Trump look like an excellent decision maker. All this publicity will be keep the Dems at bay. This along with other bad publicity on the Dems, soon to be released, is all part of the presentation to acquire Democrats votes. Then it helps with the Catholic vote and the Christian vote. The turnout at the Mall yesterday for prayer day was phenomenal. Ralph Reed and other Christian organizations are turning it up to full throttle to contact millions of people in the next several weeks. Even Catholics who see the handwriting on the wall and are jumping in to do whatever they can.
At the PA rally last night, I heard that 15% in attendance there were Democrats that did not vote in 2016.

At first I thought why spend the money? But, then I thought the Senate is very much in play and these ads will be a campaign advertising blitz that hopefully will underline the critical need to keep the Senate Republican.
Also, just my little suggestion to our beloved President Donald John Trump: When you win big, do something really, really radical, remove John Roberts as Chief Justice and have the distinction of appointing the 48 year old first WOMAN CHIEF JUSTICE, Amy Coney Barrett. How sweet would that be? If we hold the Senate, and Obamacare Roberts resigns, replaced him with Goia or Tom Cotton or whomever. Win, win all around.

Strategic thinking. Although getting Judge Barrett on SCOTUS will be a wonderful achievement for the Trump Republicans, getting PDJT re-elected, keeping the Senate, and gaining back control of the House are also very important goals. Let's use this rock-solid nomination to leverage electoral success up and down the ticket. $10 million is a mere pittance in today's money-soaked political campaign strategies.

If democrats and Republicans over the years hadn't allowed the Supreme Court to become a legislative body none of this hoopla would be happening.

Advertisements for the incredible ACB blunt the effects of the October surprises the Communists had prepared so carefully. Also shows whose your Daddy.

The ad campaign, IMO, will be used to highlight the stakes in this election. These are the judges PDJT will nominate, these are the judges a Repub Senate will confirm.
The RATs will show their butts like the classless creatures they are. This is a push for the Senate and may well benefit the House.

The DNC cannot be underestimated....they will never play fair... WE saw that with General Flynn...they do not understand playing by the rules.... I want you all to remember mccain... one man voted against the abolition of obamacare... he was a republican who hated President Trump so much he betrayed the country..and voted by saying...."let's see him make the country great now"....the rinos in the senate will vote for Amy only if they understand WE the people will vote them out if they play with US...

If it's also a GOTV thing, OK, but other than that I don't see how promoting ACB to the average citizen makes any difference.
