President Donald Trump pushed for aggressive forest management to combat the wildfires on the West Coast Monday but California Gov. Gavin Newsom told him climate change is real and behind the destructive blazes.'There has to be good strong forest management. So hopefully they'll start doing that,' Trump said when he landed in Sacramento. He argued forest management could do a lot to help. Many Democrats, including Califorina Gov. Gavin Newsom, have blamed climate change for the fires. 'We come from a perspective, humbly, where we submit the science is in and observed evidence is self-evident -- that climate change is real,' Newsom told Trump in a briefing on the fires.

Why are the fires only happening in blue states with poor forest management?

Gavin is the sorriest governor California has ever elected. What a farce, talking about climate, when California is bankrupt, the electricity rationed, the state on fire. And worst of all, California, you have to look at, and listen to Gavin. Enjoy your lives, and stay in California.

I don't know what to believe regarding climate. Everyone that reports on it has an agenda. One side runs around with its hair on fire predicting the imminent demise of planet earth. The other side is predicting a mini-ice age. I do know that climate isn't static and it's always changing. I know that its been far colder and far warmer in the past. Ocean levels have been higher and they have been lower. I also know that the continents move. Our orbit around the sun isn't a perfect circle, the earth wobbles on its axis the moon is moving away from us and the sun's output isn't constant. Those things we cant do a thing about......yet.
We can reduce our trash and pollution.....starting in China.
I grew up in the 60's where the roads were rash strewn, rivers caught fire and every surface was covered with a layer of soot from the steel mills. The country that I grew up in has improved dramatically with respect to the environment.

Why yes Gavin and The Easter Bunny is real too. So is the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, and Leprechauns. I thought Gavin has a PhD in Solar Astronomy and knows everything there is about the Sun and how much radiated heat energy it emits into our solar system. Oh... he doesn’t??? My bad. That explains everything.

God is more self evident than your bogus climate change and you don't recognize Him.

For fire mitigation and forest management, they used to light backfires to make the burn manageable, and to lessen the threat that years of leaves, dead wood and branches, evergreen needles, pine cones, dried reeds, grasses and bushes and scrub would have if it caught fire. The risk wasn’t just that it might turn into an uncontrollably blazing inferno if they didn’t manage it, but we used to find all kinds of smoldering materials after digging down in deep material some days or even weeks after it was “out”.
Forest fires have been a regular occurrence for millennia. Many of the conifer trees (evergreens with cones), need a good fire to burst open the seed pods within the cones to propagate the next generations. These plants have evolved to expect massive fires.

It’s just common sense that California needs to implement aggressive and large scale forest management procedures to limit the size of the wildfires. If they don’t the entire State will burn down if the annual large wildfires are allowed to run amuck through unmanaged forests. Even if there are climate change factors involved with the wildfires, there is really not much that can be done about that, like how does the Government stop a drought or a high wind. Then you have arsonists setting some of the wildfires and if they are involved with Antifa or BLM the local Democrat politicians simply give them a pass.

Climate change must not have made it into Canada. No forest fires up there. But they also don’t have jackazz ex’s throwing fire bombs along side the roads and setting anything on fire

You know, we had good control of our forests going back quite a while back, and then the out-of-staters flooded west in the sixties to today with their east coast, New York thinking on how things should work. Great damage has and continues today. I hope to live long enough to see 'em all run the hell out never to return. Start with giving Nancy Pelosi a return ticket to Baltimore.

FL has controlled burns every year. Surprised the Division of Forestry didn't jump in here.

Leave it to Newcomb. It's always someone else's or something else's fault. Never his nor his beloved eco-terrorists' fault.

Climate Change, the name the leftist's pasted over the ever changing "Global Cooling" and "Global Warming" scare names they've tried out over the last 60 plus years, is just a scare name for "WEATHER". In case you haven't paid attention over your lifetime, the weather changes regularly. It gets hotter and it gets colder. Sometimes these spells occur at the same time of the year. It regularly gets colder in the Winter and hotter during the Summer. Yet every year some people act surprised to discover these changes are happening. Sometimes it gets really hot or really cold, sometimes it is milder, not as hot not as cold. Its called the "WEATHER".
