Were the Republicans to run a Catholic for president who supported, say, segregation, the bishops wouldn’t hesitate to condemn that figure and warn their congregations not to vote for him. But the bishops apply no such condemnation or warning to Joe Biden, who is a dissenter in favor of abortion rights and gay marriage. Even Biden’s officiating at gay marriages, an egregiously disobedient act for a Catholic, is met with silence from most bishops. While Pope Francis felt no reservations about condemning Trump’s faith — he called him “not Christian” for supporting border walls — he and his like-minded bishops refuse to question Biden’s

The hierarchy of the Catholic Church has had an unholy alliance with supposedly Catholic Democrat politicians for a long time. They continue to ignore the fact that these Democrats fully endorse abortion, which is completely condemned by the teachings of the Catholic faith.
Democrats like Pelosi, the Kennedys, and numerous others should be denied communion if not excommunicated. And frankly, one cannot be a true Catholic and a Democrat at the same time. It's a pretense of convenience.

For us "run of the mill Catholics" Biden, Piglosi, and their ilk are an abomination. All who support the murder of babies in the womb will burn in HELL...

The Greatest Commandments "Love God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" and "Love your neighbor as yourself" are given to us in addition to the Ten Commandments. As Christians, our task at hand is not to give into temptation and live in God's ways not the earthly ways.
The Democrat's stance on abortion should be despicable to the Catholic church because it violates the Greatest Commandments. When a baby is aborted, we are not loving our neighbor as ourselves and we are not loving God. After all, a baby is a gift and blessing from God.

This morning, I watched a video on Church Militant.com site of Fr. James Altman's sermon. You can find it within the article entitled, "Bishop Throws Faithful Priest Under the Bus". It's dated September 10, 2020. Not long. Well done and true.

Just amazing. These people seem to be totally unaware that Catholics see what is happening. The leftists believe that if they say "vote for Biden" that all Catholics will just ignore what is right in front of their faces, and follow the orders.
They won't.

This Pope has created a schism in the Church that may never repair itself. This Pope is no Protector of the Faith or of the Innocent. Shame on him. However there are still Bishops willing to stand for what is right, But until this pretender is removed the Church Herself is threatened.

I’ll go a bit farther, #1. One cannot be a true Christian of any sort and be a democrat at the same time.

Real Catholics will eventually do to the Vatican and their false representatives what football fans have done to the NFL. Not that football is as important as being a good Christian of course but the principle is the same, when your leadership fails you, cut them off and move on to what you know is right. There is no express elevator to God.

I have always found it most odd that dyed in the wool dims and some Catholic leaders can be Catholic and be pro choice at the same time. Or they simply don't regard life at conception as a moral issue. Perhaps it is ignorance on my part. Having been confirmed in the Lutheran Church at age 13 instilled different values in my upbringing although the church has bad apples of its own now.

From the Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition: Galatians 6:7 ''Be not deceived, God is not mocked.'' Biden should borrow Pelosi's real Catholic Bible to read the whole chapter.

FTA...“He devoutly practices his Catholic faith in the quiet manner that was imbued in him by his Irish Catholic family and the sisters and priests who helped form who he is today.”
Now you'd think the moron that made that statement would stop and think for a moment, who Biden is today. He is a proven plagiarist. He has lied throughout his career. Lately, he lied about his position on fracking, on criminal justice "reform," and on 9/11 his lie the HE predicted the attack on the World Trade Center with planes was resurrected. He has a very credible accusation against him from a staffer, reported to a number of people at the time it happened, of how this choir boy penetrated her with his fingers, against her will. And of course his very public support for infanticide.
The Catholic Church, the Pope included, is embarrassed by parishioners who are pro-life and patriotic. They are embarrassed by their parishioners who voted and support President Trump. Trump is the most pro-life president this country has ever had, yet the Bishops sneer at him and his followers. And we know they are sneering at us.
While we attend Church every Sunday and are Eucharistic Ministers, we have not supported the overall Church for years. We do not give to all of those organizations that the bishops and church beg for donations. And while our local priest is wonderful and conservative (which he keeps well hidden) it becomes harder and harder to support this Church. Evil is always at work, but its invasion of the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church,is illustrated very well by the pedophilia scandals that pervade this institution as well as the hierarchy's lack of concern for the killing of the unborn.

As a lifelong Catholic - - I am saddened beyond words to see the Catholic Church go from being the Bulwark of Anti-Communism to being the Propaganda Arm of Pro-Communism.
All of this with a communist Pope no less! The anti-Christ Biden - - and all of his communist minions - - must be defeated by all freedom-loving Americans.

The bishops are not the Church. We are. If you deny yourself the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, you are starving your own soul. Why? To punish men who sin?

The Catholic Church protected pedophile priest. So it is no surprise that it turned a blind eye to Democrat politicians who are pro-abortion. Reply #2, I know exactly what you mean.

Jesus threw the moneylenders out of the Temple. The US Bishops won’t even withhold Communion from unrepentant abortion supporters. The Catholic Church is led by political pagans.

Throughout its' 2,000 year history the Roman Catholic church has suffered some hard times. Splits with the Greeks, the Russians, the Reformation, etc. It could be easily argued that many popes and bishops/cardinals were pretty bad --- not just incompetent but morally astray as well. Dante even threw a few into Hades. Yet, we have survived. Mainly because, as it was written, "This is My Church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it."
This is just another very rocky patch we're suffering through & it will be corrected in all due time. In fact, it looks like the worm is turning already as more and more people see abortion as the horror it is and, with only one or two heartbeats stopping cold, the Supreme Court could change and thus Roe v. Wade ends.
Right now the R.C. Church is nothing more than the Peace Corps with robes on but, remember, His Father's House was cleaned out more than once and will no doubt be again. Meantime, stay faithful to the Leader ... and not so much the administrators!
Living through 50+ years of nonsense is tough but those 5 decades are a twinkle in history. Sooner or later, everything aligns with what God wants.

Despicable, immoral and outrageous!
These uninformed, lax Catholics (some of whom are in the clergy) are the true deplorables.
God have mercy on their souls!
That they scandalize believers is at their own peril.

#5 might do well to check out the ten. Because the first of the two is the first of the ten, as well (just without the part about leading Israel out of Egypt). And the second of the two was actually one of those given by Moses, too -- around number 26 if I recall correctly.
As for Biden and the bishops who endorse him? Clearly contrary to Church teaching. Neither party's platform does a very good job of following Christian teaching, though. Both deviate from it in different ways, and it seems to me neither should get official endorsement by the Church.

#19 - Thank you for the wonderful response to Catholics who leave the Faith because weak, and often sinful, men sit in the hierarchy. The Eucharist is the center and summit of our Faith. Jesus Christ is physically present with us! It matters not if some in the clergy are corrupt, for Judas lives in every age.
#22 - Thank you for saving me a lot of typing. It does amaze me that people think because we live in "modern" times corruption inside the Church should be a thing of the past. While instituted by God, the Church is still run by fallible human beings. There is a reason some of our greatest saints were reformers. My favorite priest would often say, "The proof of the Truth of the Catholic Church is found in the fact that it has been passed on through the centuries by the laity, despite the clergy."

When you realize that virtually every institution in America has now been intentionally corrupted by the Cultural Marxists with the blessings of Democrats, the Bishops who knew for a long time that priests were abusing children but did nothing, are now STILL “qualified” to make a judgment on Biden should not come as a surprise to the cynically astute
Remember Daniel Moynihan’s warning about “defining deviancy downward.”

Pure hypocrisy from those Bishops, and that is nothing new in the Catholic Church in America that has been shedding young parishioners left and right.
