It’s over for the Nobel Peace Prize …
After a 119-year run, the Nobel Peace Prize faces cancellation from some members of the left now that President Donald Trump has been nominated for it again.
On Wednesday, Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian parliament for the populist Progress Party, nominated Trump for the prize over the historic peace deal between Israel and the UAE that his administration has reached. (Tweet) “For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees,” Tybring-Gjedde, who also serves as the chairman of the Norwegian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, said to Fox News.

That mushroom cloud is not an A-bomb. It's liberal heads exploding at the same time. Liberals will go along with a Nobel Peace Prize for President when he agrees that Israel is an illegetimate state and that Israel shall give all it's land and treasure to the Palestinians. If Obama can win for doing absolutely nothing these nominations at least seem reasonable. In the meantime get your favorite dem a bib, locate a safe space for them, a golden lab and perhaps some crayons and a coloring book.

The Atlantic is cancelling the Nobel Peace Prize? That is hysterical! Their rage is so idiotic it's funny. Ha!
#2 I need to add... Right NY? Right Washington? Right Oregon? Right Colorado? Right Illinois? Right Wisconsin? Right Michigan? Right Pennsylvania?... The list could go on and on.

They'll probably just give it to Greta Scoldberg anyway. The Peace Prize has no merit anymore.

If President Trump is not awarded the Nobel Peace Prize will prove that the Prize is continuing to be awarded based solely on politics, not merit. Remember that Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize before his shoes put the first scratch on the desk in the Oval Office. I seem to recall that Obama even admitted he did not deserve his Prize.
The President's on-going success so far regarding the middle east is amazing. And it's been reported in the media news that several other middle east countries are lining up to get on this train. It's amazing. No other President had such success regarding the middle east. It should be a slam dunk no brainer that President Trump should win the Prize.

The Nobel Peace Prize is nothing but a political exercise that exalts the most favored leftist of the moment. It should be abolished along with Ho-wood's Academy Awards, which has devolved into a politically correct butt hurt fest that no real American can be bothered to care about, let alone watch.

He's doing things, looking to actually fix and improve things, not just talk about them for a campaign.
It's a large part of why they have to resist him, as it makes them all look bad for not doing things over the last 50+ years, particularly in the inner-cities.

I think the Nobel Peace Prize destroyed itself when they awarded it to Obama for .... well, I guess, for being Obama.
Trump deserves his nominations for successful action taken that actually help the cause of Peace on Earth. However, the prize itself is badly tarnished.

The Peace Prize was given to Al ( the sky is falling, the sky is falling ) Gore, Arafat, Jimmy Carter, and of course Barry whose only achievement was being half black. But now since Trump actually did achieve peace, the prize should be abolished. How transparent of them. How childish.

Maybe The Atlantic would be happier if Obama were nominated again......or Yasser Arafat were nominated posthumously. How does that sound ?

I seem to recall that 4 years ago we were on thr brink of a shooting war with North Korea. Trump is the only US president to actually deviate from the conventional wisdom and attemp a different tact. He's the first President since Reagan to actually confront Russia and the first in my lifetime to hold China's feet to the fire. 4 years ago, ISIS was running rampant in the Middle East. He's the first to get Mexico onboard to slow the illegal border crossings. He re-negotiated NAFTA, where it's a win win and many South American countries want to get onboard. He's effectively ended the Yugoslavia civil war, isolating Iran by bringing Arabs and Israel into an alliance of sorts. He's the first president to say one thing and not do something different behind his back. He's the first president to encourage other countries to do whats right for their people.
Trump, more than many many previous recipients has earned the nomination.

The Right wrote off the NPP after their triple disgrace of Arafat (1994), Gore (2007), and Obama (2017) made it more obvious that it had become a tool for promoting Leftists. Having one enemy of the Left nominated now endangers its usefulness as that tool, aiming it straight for shipwreck on the shoals that disgraced the President of Harvard position (another for which ANYBODY can be nominated).

Quick! Name one American Nobel Peace Prize winner not mentioned in the above posts. How is the NPP decided? Give one name of someone who is on the committee which decides who receives it. How many actual psychopaths have already won the Prize? (the answer “all of them” doesn’t count) What does the Prize consist of? When does the award ceremony actually occur each year? Where? Have you ever in your life, in casual conversation, had more than 3 discussions about the NPP that lasted over 30 seconds? Bonus Points: a.) why would you possibly care who wins? b.) Does the print edition of The Atlantic make good piddle paper for puppies?
