Thousands of Trump supporters hold more
‘Great American Boat Parade’ events over
Labor Day Weekend after five boats sank

Hoards of flag-waving President Trump supporters sailed into the waters again on Sunday for a series of boat parades after several vessels sunk and were capsized in Texas. Labor Day Weekend in the United States this year comes just three months before the highly polarized presidential election in November, and a number of conservatives have lifted their anchors to show their support for President Trump. At least nine cities across the country, from California to Georgia and back again, hosted Great American Boat Parade events to herald the current Commander-in-Chief for a second term. Just one day before, officials said that five boats sank during a Trump boat parade

Lake Travis is full of hazards, especially with lower water levels due to drought. Not a really good place to hold a boat rally.

Did anyone hear why the boats actually sank? My guess is large waves created by a crowd of heavy wake boats unintentionally swamping other boats that were already sitting low in the water from having too many on board. Even a single wake boat can create immense waves and having several dozen of them cruising among the fleet could create severe turbulence.

I've noticed that we never heard a word about these boat parades in the LSM until some sank. Then it was gleefully headlined by that same LSM. 2500 boats at a single boat parade is more boats than the number of people that show up at a Harris/Biden rally.

The title is a great understatement. Rallies were going on all weekend across the fruited plains and just about where ever there was a body of water and Trump enthusiasts. In Minnesota two BIG rallies took place on Saturday; one on the St. Croix river which is the boundary between Minnesota and Wisconsin. This is a beautiful river and the parade of boats was between Prescott, Wisconsin and Stillwater Minnesota. The other BIG rally was on Lake Minnetonka, just west of Minneapolis [out where the patriots live]! It looked like great fun. Then this morning I opened up the St. Cloud Times and there was a story about the Trump flotilla on the Mississippi River near Sartell, Minnesota. Now, that could have been a lot bigger except there are rapids just south of Sartell at Sauk Rapids plus a dam downstream only about 1-2 miles at St. Cloud. So, it was up to the Sartell folks to populate the flotilla, and it looks like they had a great time on the Upper Mississippi River.

Likely in a hurry and forgot to put in the hull plugs...seen it many times. If you ever want an entertaining afternoon, go to any boat launch and watch the idiots...launching boats with no plugs and sinking, loading boats too fast and wrecking their trucks rear end, backing down a boat to the water unhooked from the pulley and stepping on the brakes then watching the boat slide off 20' short of the water. The bonus is if the engine is 'down' and that wrecks the transom and engine. I once saw a drunk dude launch his jet boat over the front of the trailer and land on top of his pickup...he looked around and acted like, "I meant to do that"...

Joe Biden is currently underperforming among Latino voters in Florida, according to two recently released polls, a warning sign for the former vice president as he seeks to win the crucial swing state and its 29 electoral votes. A poll conducted by Bendixen & Amandi International and the Miami Herald among 500 likely Miami-Dade County voters was released Tuesday morning, showing Biden ahead of Trump 55% to 38%, outside of the poll's 4.4 margin of error. Among Hispanic voters, Trump narrowly leads Biden, 47% to 46%, with Trump swamping Biden among Cuban-American voters 68% to 30% and Biden winning over non-Cuban Hispanic voters 58% to 32%.

Former White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders told “The View” co-host on Tuesday that President Donald Trump never disparaged American war dead interned in a French cemetery, while also acknowledging that the president and her late father, Sen. John McCain, never did see eye-to-eye. Sanders, who made an appearance to promote a new memoir about her time in the Trump White House, pushed back on claims made by anonymous sources quoted in an Atlantic story by Jeffrey Goldberg last week that Trump called U.S. troops and Marines killed during World War I and buried at the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery “suckers” and “losers.”

A new ad by former Vice President Joe Biden promises a “fresh start” — after nearly 48 years in politics — and appears to borrow the slogan of former rival Pete Buttigieg, who recently joined Biden’s transition team. The ad, released Tuesday, depicts Biden, 77, as offering a “fresh start” after four years of President Donald Trump. Biden arrived in Washington nearly a half-century ago, in 1973, going on to serve for 36 years in the Senate and two terms in the Obama administration.(Video) The 60-second ad declares that the election is a chance to put the “darkness” of the past four years aside.

On Saturday, I watched football for the first time since February. The game was Arkansas State vs. Memphis. ESPN carried it. I was having a fine time watching a reasonably well played and closely contested game. But then, in the second quarter, the announcing team — Bob Wischusen and Dan Orlovsky — suddenly turned away from football to racial politics. The two began by saying how wonderful it is that college football players have become politically engaged. They commended the youngsters for trying to change America for the better. After too much of this, Wischusen and Orlovsky confessed, more or less to their white privilege.
