Biden Fabricates Trump Social Security Cuts

Benjamin Franklin is usually credited for observing that nothing in this world is certain but death and taxes. As it happens, he didn’t originate the aphorism, and there is at least one certainty missing from the list — that the Democrats will never allow an election to pass without trying to scare elderly voters by fabricating some fell GOP conspiracy to kill Social Security. Consequently, it was inevitable that Joe Biden would accuse President Trump of a dark plot to destroy the program. Never mind that neither Trump nor his advisors have proposed any such plan, the Biden presidential campaign released an ad last Thursday that includes the following falsehood:

To really make some heads explode, PDT needs to announce that he's going to use some of the stimulus money to restore the funds borrowed from the SS trust fund by the democrats, rather than bail out public service retirement plans ala Nasty Nancy.

I am nominally an AARP member for the supplemental insurance you can obtain (which in my opinion is superior to AMAC's offering). I received an outrageous email the other day advocating the garbage described in this article. No doubt on behalf of the democrats, Responded that I no longer wish to receive the advocacy BS emails. I am totally disgusted with AARP.

Our local Dem Congressional candidate is trying to peddle the same yarn. The SocSec funds are guaranteed, backed by the "full faith and credit of the US Government." Any stimulus funds poured in would only come from the same printing presses as the bonds already sitting in the fund. What actual cash is in the Treasury's vaults these days?

Unfortunately, dimocrat lies about social security can be effective. during jeb Bush's first run for governor of florida, the incumbent, late in the campaign, ran an ad that Jeb, as Governor, would eliminate Social Security. The Governor won. The voters, Floridians plus double voting NY snowbirds, didn't seem to realize that a governor has nothing to do with Social Security.

The Mayors Whose Names You Don’t Know 3 replies

It’s been a summer in the spotlight for America’s mayors. For many of them, that focus has been quite cruel. News consumers are lamentably familiar by now with names like de Blasio, Bowser, and Garcetti. Given the importance of the major metropolitan areas they govern, that’s unsurprising. What is surprising is the amount of public attention America’s smaller urban enclaves have generated, and that’s not because their respective mayors have been especially competent.
A vote for Joe Biden is still a

After last month’s strange virtual party conventions, the question on everyone’s minds is, who came out ahead? The polling has been mixed, but the candidates’ reactions make it obvious. You can tell just by looking at what Joe Biden has been doing in the time since. First, he has loudly distanced himself from his earlier, repeated promises to end fracking, which he made both in debates and in conversations with Democratic primary voters. This evinces a fear that his anti-fracking stance — and note that opposition to “new fracking” necessarily entails opposition to all fracking — will cost him Pennsylvania and other states enjoying the benefits of the energy revolution.

If Democrats have the truth on their side, why do they need to lie so much? It’s a question for the ages. Every time you turn on the news or open a paper, some headline is blaring about how President Trump is a disaster. You name it – Coronavirus, trade, the economy, race relations, the military, schools – and there is a liberal Democrat with a press credential telling you how those things and more are bad, and have never been worse, no matter the evidence to the contrary. Adolf Hitler called it the “Große Lüge,” or “Big Lie,” and the political left

Freddrick Hadden was shot to death by a sheriff’s deputy in Burke County, Georgia. A habitual felon who had only recently been released from prison, Hadden had kidnapped his ex-wife at gunpoint. When Deputy Eric Madison pursued Hadden to a home near Hephzibah, the woman escaped Hadden’s vehicle. She was shot twice by Hadden before Deputy Madison returned fire, killing the kidnapper and saving the woman’s life. That incident in August 2019 attracted no national media interest. CNN didn’t cover it, there were no protests, and Joe Biden has never mentioned it. Perhaps that’s because Freddrick Hadden was white and Deputy Madison is black.

Rebecca Vedrine asked what a Biden administration would do to help “give them that chance.” It’s not clear exactly what she was talking about from the video.(Snip for tweet)The shot then flips to Biden, who just looked horrible and confused. “Move it up here,” he says, sighing deeply, telling them to move the teleprompter so he’ll be able to answer the question.

Novak Djokovic, the world's No. 1 tennis player, could potentially face additional fines from the United States Tennis Association following his dramatic disqualification from the U.S. Open on Sunday night. In addition to missing out on the $3 million in prize money up for grabs in the U.S. Open, Djokovic has been stripped of his $250,000 (£190,000) in prize money from reaching the Round of 16 of the tournament after swiping a ball away that struck a female line judge in the throat. The move was done in frustration after being broken 5-6 in the opening set against Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain.

Election 2020 is shaping up to be déjà vu all over again for the news media. In an effort to help push Joe Biden over the finish line, the Washington establishment is going all-in on the easily refuted idea that there has been no change in the presidential race over the last three weeks. “With Two Months To Go, a Steady Presidential Race,” writes Amy Walter of the Cook Political Report. “The Latest Polls, the Great Non-Tightening: This Week in the 2020 Race,” write Astead W. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has given an October 15 deadline for a post-Brexit trade agreement with the European Union, brushing off fears about "no-deal" chaos if talks fail. The eighth round of negotiations resume in London this week, with both sides talking increasingly tough, amid accusations of intransigence and political brinkmanship. The UK's chief negotiator, David Frost, did little to raise expectations about a breakthrough, promising no compromise on London's red lines, in a rare newspaper interview published on Sunday.

On Saturday, I watched football for the first time since February. The game was Arkansas State vs. Memphis. ESPN carried it. I was having a fine time watching a reasonably well played and closely contested game. But then, in the second quarter, the announcing team — Bob Wischusen and Dan Orlovsky — suddenly turned away from football to racial politics. The two began by saying how wonderful it is that college football players have become politically engaged. They commended the youngsters for trying to change America for the better. After too much of this, Wischusen and Orlovsky confessed, more or less to their white privilege.
