The first night of the 2020 Republican National Convention was a mirror image of last week's Democratic telethon. The issues that the Democrats ignored—violence in the cities and China—were mentioned again and again. Where the Democrats showcased elected officials and celebrities, some of the most effective speeches on night one of the RNC came from lesser-known individuals such as activist Andrew Pollack, Cuban immigrant Maximo Alvarez, and nurse Amy Ford. The phrase "systemic racism" wasn't heard. But paeans to American greatness and American exceptionalism limned each address.

Joe Biden forced the DNC to use Zoom. There is no way that he could be allowed to speak and meet people in person without going off on a nasty rant or personal attack. His wearing of a face diaper is part of the plot to keep him under tight control and an excuse to keep him hidden.

Mr. Alvarez brought tears to my eyes. He was so heartfelt. I also thought the father of Meadow, a Student in the Florida school shooting who died, gave a forceful speech that demanded you listen and understand what he was saying. I thought most all of the Speakers were impressive, but I thought those Two were the best!

The snippets and pieces I viewed briefly of the democrat convention was that in another election cycle the party of whatever name they will go by will be full blown communist (a communist is a socialist in a hurry). The so called democrat party are not progressives by any means they are projectionist and soon to be owned by AOC types and Bernie Sanders supporters. The ground work has been laid at the DNC convention/circus fiasco it was the coming out party for the communist left.

While each of us can name a given presenter that we thought made the best presentation, I thought that the "best presentation" last night was the combined effect of all the normal, America-loving, hard-working, successful, and grateful black presenters. To add that they are "conservative" would be superfluous. THIS is the face of the new Republican Party...normality, regardless of color. And this is the future of our great nation.
It is unconscionable that the media continue to only show repeated images of the angriest and most violent segments of the black community. And noticeably never feature the normal segments, striving like the rest of us normals for a good life for their families and their neighbors. Why is that?
I travel widely (or did, before the lockdowns) and I wish I could have recorded the conversations and the many acts of simple kindness with and by black "normals" from all walks of life and all economic levels. If I had, I'd stream the videos 24x7 to put into the record that America should be proud of the decency of the vast majority of ALL its normals.
Contrary to the daily propaganda, the future of this country belongs to those who love it. And each other.

#2 Totally agree about Mr Alvarez's speech. It was the simple beauty and his delivery of it that bought tears. There were many others too, but that one touched my heart. Freedom is not free and surpasses everything else. I loved Matt Gaetz's opening and Tim Scott's closing. Both powerful and great warriors. Also, the opening video with Jon Voight's voice over. What a thrill to watch. Heard that President Trump is very involved with the whole convention and it shows. A great night for all Americans!

Collectively, the Democrats are Dorian Gray. With the aid of the media, they project a self-righteous, unassailable virtue. Behind them, their true image degrades into the enraged faces of Antifa and BLM, with the hellish backdrop of cities in flames and citizens forced to their knees to beg for their lives.

Obama Democrats remind me of Stalin Communists.
They never wash and they always lie.
Soon they will report their neighbors to the FBI for wearing Trump hats!!!

The author is trying to pretend he is a neutral observer. He is not. He states the Republican's goal is to deny the Democrats opportunities for radical change but completely denies the type of change they are seeking, a complete restart of American government and society in the form that the dem Left wants. He states that "Republicans like what they see in the mirror" without stating that they see the many great things about America that they feel are worth hanging onto. They don't want to throw the whole government and society away to fix a few problems.
To discuss the differences between dems and Republicans without pointing this out is grossly deceptive. Continetti is not worth the read.
