Why We Can’t Trust Postal
Workers With Our Ballots

If you are queasy about entrusting the U.S. Postal Service with a vastly expanded role in our electoral system in the midst of a crucial election, the following news will exacerbate your nausea. Last Friday, the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) followed the lead of the American Postal Workers Union (APWU) by endorsing presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. Thus far, most objections to increasing the role of the USPS in the election process involve the inevitable logistical problems that will accompany a precipitous expansion of mail-in voting. The addition of overt partisanship among postal workers to inefficiency renders it obvious that the widespread expansion of vote-by-mail is dangerous.

If you mail your ballot you will not know whether it will be received at the proper place and on time. Even if your ballot is delivered to the proper place, and on time, you will not know whether it will be accepted or rejected. If your ballot is rejected you will not know whether the rejection was justified. Many mailed ballots that should be rejected are accepted. Many mailed ballots that should be accepted are rejected. The possibilities for such fraud are numerous. VOTE IN PERSON!

If there is a way to cheat the democrats will find it and exploit it. This election is particularly crucial to both sides and the democrats will do anything to win. When there is voter fraud most likely is comes from the democrat party. There is no way we should accept mail-in voting and what comes with it, vote harvesting. We need to educate people about this because so many believe it is just like Absentee Ballots. Republicans should be buying ads now informing the public exactly what the concerns are. We never seem to get out there and advocate for a position and it is imperative that Americans understand the pitfalls. Just advising the public that the Postal Workers’ Union have endorsed Biden should be revealed. Please RNC, be pro-active and just put some ads out there explaining the ramifications of allowing the USPS to have such a critical part in the election. Don’t leave the narrative up to the democrats because they will always accuse Republicans of suppressing the vote. Come on, have a plan NOW to counter their argument. This is where we fall short so many times. Why do you think Prager U is under attack constantly? It’s because they put out the truth in an easy to understand and logical way. We have to be more pro-active and get our message out there. If we don’t we have no one to blame but ourselves. This may be the most critical issue facing us. If democrats are successful in pushing this one on us, it could be disastrous.

American Spectator raises the alarm, but gives no clue about how postal workers could actually affect voting by mail.
Re: ballots going out to residents: Theoretically, postal workers could make sure ballots are not delivered to Republicans, but determining who is and who is not a Republican on a mail route would take a lot of work. Some towns do print lists that are available for sale and which show voter registration, but even so – not an easy job. Some yard signs could, of course, spur on the spot decisions to deep six a ballot. In many areas this year, residents are afraid to put out Trump signs, fearing reprisals, so signs are fewer than usual.
Re: ballots being returned from the resident to the town: How would postal workers know how the resident voted without opening the envelope? Democrat and Republican ballots would then be revealed, but if Democrat ballots were delivered opened to the town (or whatever gov’t entity is supposed to receive them), suspicion would immediately fall on the postal workers – and questions would be raised about possible missing Republican votes.

There are so many legal ways for postal workers to determine D vs. R voters. Even in states that do not have party registration, anyone can obtain lists of people who voted in R or D primaries in past elections. (This is the way campaigns find out who their prospective voters are.) Simply get the lists of "triple R's" or "triple D's" from you local voting registrar, and pass it out the postal workers that deliver. Easy.
Also, how would voter photo ID work in states where it is required?

My postal carrier knows how I vote by the mail that I receive from President Trump, the NRCC, etc. I mail my FL ballot at the post office itself, have it postmarked, and then check with the Supervisor of Elections office to ensure it has been received. Florida has been doing this for years and has a good system. For example, for tomorrows primary my ballot was received on July 20 and is awaiting counting (which will occur during the day tomorrow). This can be checked online by every voter. Other states putting up "cheat by mail / ballot harvesting" systems do not have these systems and safeguards in effect and should wait before trying this.

I refuse to take this seriously. It is a chaos recipe. No one in their right mind does not know this.
Vast majority of voters don't want this.
What's next? Making us vote in person at the DMV?

Compare the chain of custody of a ballot for In Person Voting vs vote by mail. There is absolutely no control of vote by mail ballots when mailed to all registered voters. If you can protest in person, you can vote in person.

#4: are you joking?
You don't have to know what each ballot says. You simply dump ballots from conservative districts.
You also can send forged ballots and "find" them in time for a recount.
USPS is a black hole mass operation. Does not provide a chain of custody.
Their goal is to cause a chaos delay until the Speaker of the House is defaulted into the office of POTUS. Get real.

Daughter of a close friend, Ivy League professional degree, VP at a Manhattan merchant bank at 35, has no clue that absentee and mail in ballots are completely different. Moreover, is not interested if you try to explain. It is frightening. The only solution is that every single person voting Republican should do so in person.

Aside from having your ballot " lost", what about having it disqualified for some "technical" reason? Having voted by mail for the first time in Maryland during the Wuhan Flu, I was a nervous wreck about filling out the ballot properly. I even contacted my local Republican Chapter several times. I will never know if my vote was counted, disqualified, arrived on time or if it was "lost". And the left isn't concerned about any of those things for their side? Why? That alone makes me suspicious.

A) First, in 2016, the dems tried voter suppression - ALL the media chimed "Hillary has a 95% chance of winning."
B) After losing. they tried getting the Electoral College abolished.
C) Failing that, they tried Attempted Coup via Russian Hoax
D) Failing that, they tried Attempted Coup via Ukraine Hoax
E) Failing that, they are now trying Fraud via Mail -in Votes
...Yes, you can show up to vote.....BUT...that won't stop them from MASSIVE voter fraud via ballot harvesting fake-ballots.
We are doomed IF Republicans are so stupid as to stand by.....and not stop this Scam

Do the States mailing out Ballots to everyone also have Polling Places for people to vote in person if they wish? If they do, every single Trump supporter should go to the Polls! If not, I guess short of taking your Ballot to the place where they are counting them, I don't know how you ever know your vote was counted!

I seriously doubt that the election will be decided by the end of November and who knows how long it will take the courts to decide? The only sure thing about democrats is that cheating in many forms is guaranteed. "Finding" misplaced votes and playing the shell game by closing voting places on election day and re-opening in another place known only to democrats are some of the favorites. Intimidation by protesters will be a new wrinkle this time around.

The postal service should be looked at as another democrat voting block and the postal union just endorsed Biden so why should we trust them with mail in voting. What Trump should do is declare election day a national holiday, that way there's no excuse for people to need cheat-by-mail voting. If people can go grocery shopping they can vote in person.

Hmm #10, so Republicans and Democrats are living in communes and there are no mixed neighborhoods? Lol. Democrat mailmen are going to take a list of voters with them, on their busy route and throw away votes accordingly? That's all quite a stretch. Democrats are going to win the election with these microscopic details?
Everyone, don't let articles like this worry you, live in your head rent free. Polls had some people worried in 2016 and the political status was a myth, as Mr Trump won. So maybe there can be a verification system, perhaps send out email notifies, for those worried about being counted. Mailmen/women could lose their job and/or go to prison for tampering with the mail! Hide an "audit ballot" here & there in the batch, to confirm received and counted.

People who want to vote by mail already have a way. It's called Absentee Ballot.
Why is that not good enough for democrats? Because Absentee Ballots are controlled. They must be requested and they are accounted for.
The democrat scam of ''mail in voting'' does not require a request for a ballot, the ballots are not accounted for, and a person who votes in person would also have a mail-in ballot! That is, unless the mail-in ballot never reaches the voter. Those ballots may be intercepted, harvested, or destroyed- depending upon how the voter is registered. Democrats have proven that they are dishonest, and even outright criminal, so don't assume they would suddenly turn into honest citizens.
Aside from that disaster, ballots will be mailed to dead people, vacant addresses, illegal voters, and voting ''sweat shops'' where harvested ballots are filled in by democrat partisans. If you receive an unsolicited ballot by mail, but will vote in person, destroy the ballot! Do not put it in the trash, where it can be salvaged by sanitation workers who might be paid for each one they find.

Whenver we have needed mail-in ballots, we completed them at home and one or both of us got them to the polling place on Election Day and walked them back to the locked box into which we inserted them ourselves. Those doing this bypass any lines. Very smooth operation.
The inclusion of Party information on the outside of the envelope - it is printed there - makes our ballots ripe for the picking...

As a poster above advised, President Trump is into efficiency, as Trump is first and foremost a businessman who knows that any business that is not efficient will eventually go out of business. Trump also knows that the US Postal Service is too important to the country to go out of business, and therefore is taking steps to make the Postal Service as efficient as possible, including having commercial shippers pay the proper cost of shipping their packages so that the taxpayers will not have to go on subsidizing those shipping costs.
The public employees postal workers unions could care less about efficiency throughout the postal service as their mantra to to represent the postal workers and obtain the most pay, benefits, and working conditions possible for their members. To do that they lobby politicians big time, almost all the time. In that respect, almost all public employees unions support liberal Democrat politicians who they know are going to be more generous with taxpayer’s money being sent to their members, both directly and indirectly than Republican politicians would vote for.
That’s why the public employees unions just about always support the liberal Democrats, and is why the postal unions have already announced that they are supporting the Biden-Harris leftist and liberal Democrat ticket. That does not in anyway mean that all the postal workers are going to go along with union recommendations as to who or what political party they will vote for. To the leftists and liberal Democrats the federal public employees unions are almost as important as the teachers unions as supporters to keep them in political power. The Democrats also know that the postal workers unions will go along with efforts to slow down the mails during the week before the November election to sabotage any quick election result for as long as they possibly can, also knowing that as long as huge numbers of ballots are out there uncounted that there is more chance of fraud and mischief to the benefit of the Democrats.

In Oregon, it's required that the *outside* of the envelope indicate party affiliation. Gee, I wonder why the Democrat lawmakers included that requirement... All the Democrats I know talk about how great vote by mail works here. Sure, it works well for Democrats. They always get elected under this system. But the fact is I put my ballot in the mail and have no idea what happens to it after that.

#4 I doubt it would take nearly as much work as you suggest to change the election outcome. The various candidates happily do all that work for them by mailing solicitations for donations and votes to the voters registered in their party. The letter carriers would not have to compare voter registration records or yard signs to addresses. It’s likely a carrier could identify a huge percentage of Republicans and Democrats on their routes by simply taking note of the origin of the political junk mail being delivered to each residence. When election time comes the carriers would simply have to “lose” ballots sent to the mail customers who have previously received junk mail from unfavored candidates.

The postal workers´union supports Joe Biden, which is as sure an indication of a lack of intelligence as of a lack of ethical standards. Does anyone really believe that there are more than, say 500 postal workers of a conservative bent in the United States?
So, in the days leading up to the arrival of your "mail-in ballot" a magazine from the Heritage Foundation arrives at your home, quite conspicuously to the "impartial" postal worker who opposes the candidate you prefer. A Knights of Colombus magazine both arrives and triggers your scrupulously impartial letter carrier. Finally, your ballot arrives. Does anyone seriously believe that your ballot will arrive untampered-with and before the deadline? I sure as hell don´t, and I suspect there are millions of honest American voters who want nothing more than to cast their single ballots.
Mail-in ballots would be one certain way in which Americans lose the franchise (through voter fraud), and would provide The Left with a very certain way of saying "I don´t care, you Fascist Boomer."
Unless you cannot be present to vote on Election Day, absentee ballots seem like the only decent option for conducting free and fair elections.

Postal worker was a young black female who was fired.
I point out race and gender because IMO young black females are the most militant persons in the US and the USPS employees so many. The possibility of vote by mail fraud is manifest.

In Washington state and others, the political party of the recipient is marked on the outside of the return envelope. In Florida, voters are required to add email addresses, phone numbers and sign the outside of the ballot envelope. The former makes it sooo easy to discard unopened ballots from the other political party. The latter makes it easy for voters to have their personal information stolen by anyone who handles that envelope. Are we really that stupid in this country??
IMHO (1) One citizen one vote: In person valid (pre-certified) Voter ID required at the polling place or with requested mail-in Absentee Ballot; (2) A receipt with a trackable number issued after voting or ballot number attached to each Absentee Ballot; (3) Chain of custody accountability: the date when the ballot was received, date when it was counted, able to match receipt# with a counted ballot at the official state website. Seems simple enough...

In a typical absentee ballot there is an exchange of paperwork between the voter and the town they live in. By the time the voter is sent a ballot, the town has already verified that they are a registered voter, their identity, and their address. The preprocessing reduces confusion and fraud. The dems want to sprinkle ballots around the town and see what comes back. When they do, THEN the verification process starts. The pressure will be on to do it more quickly than accurately, a recipe for disaster. The dems have already been working on ballot harvesting. This would throw the doors open to this insidious practice. In person balloting is the way to go.

In my area, which is a postal hub, high school graduates often get jobs at the sorting machines. Twenty years ago, it was a good job for the summer before college, the pay was good because the hours were long. Letters got sorted by computer and just a little hands-on. My question is ''Did the new Postmaster General do away with all those sorting machines?''
Reset the machines to ''forget'' the difference between R votes and D votes. Easy-peezy.

There is even a message going around stating the supposed secret ballot is to be mailed in an envelope provided which has a long number below the bar code which has either an identifying D or R included. Any unscrupulous postal employee could toss aside votes so identified. We vote in person so I don't know for sure about the envelopes but any who plan to vote by mail might check the back of their ballot envelopes for such party identifiers.

To prevent my ballot from being "misplaced" by the incompetent USPS I hand deliver my ballot to my local election office. There's a reason Democrats like Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer want voting by mail. They're corrupt and don't trust the American electorate so they must cheat to win elections.

#34 and others: this is only anecdotal, but I get daily solicitations from Republican candidates, and both my initial registration for ballots and two ballots for primaries did arrive on time at my house. I will now check the outside of return envelopes to see if party is noted there (it should not be!). If I possibly can, rather than putting my voting envelopes in the door to be taken by the mailman, I will take it to the town hall drop box.
