USCIS Staff Furloughs Will
Grind Legal Immigration To A Halt

The Trump administration is about to achieve what many see as its long-held objective of bringing the U.S. legal immigration system to a halt. While the administration would not be allowed to stop processing immigration applications without incurring legal action, critics say that through policy choices and mismanagement of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) it may accomplish the same goal. “The federal agency tasked with offering citizenship, green cards and visas to immigrants is planning to furlough about two-thirds of its workers at the end of the month after Congress failed to reach a deal on a coronavirus stimulus package,”(snip)Immigration Services notified about 13,400 of its 20,000 employees

I don't see any problem whatsoever in shutting down immigration, especially the illegal ones. Are special immigrants still paying for green cards and citizenship papers?

American citizens, U.S. nationals and lawful permanent residents who sponsor an immigrant visa for a family member to live permanently in the United States must sign a legal and enforceable contract with the federal government know as the Affidavit of Support, agreeing to use their financial resources to support the immigrant. I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
