Kim Jong-un has declared that pet dogs are a symbol of capitalist 'decadence' and ordered that dogs in Pyongyang be rounded up - and owners are fearful that their beloved pets are being used to solve the nation's food shortages.
Dictator Kim announced in July that owning a pet is now against the law, denouncing having a dog at home as 'a tainted trend of bourgeois ideology'.
'Authorities have identified households with pet dogs and are forcing them to give them up or forcefully confiscating them and putting them down', a source told South Korea's Chosun Ilbo newspaper

So you’ve busted the people’s morale in just about every way possible: no church. No meaningful job. No peace, security, and happiness.
And now you’re coming for The Last Joy in someone’s life.
Nice.

What will they do turn them into hot dogs? You want mustard pickle relish and onions on that? You want a Fifi dog which was a French poodle or the Adolph dog which was a German Shepherd? Fries or onion rings with your order?

Antique joke. Q: what do you call a Korean with more than two dogs? A: a rancher. All humor is racist, none based in fact.

The North Koreans could have been on the road to a much better existence had they swallowed their pride and worked with Trump. Normalized relations might have resulted in agreements with American farmers to provide food at reasonable prices. Either Kim Jong-Un is too arrogant to accept help or he's afraid of getting on China's bad side.

I wonder if Kim has lost any of his excess weight because of his country's food shortage?

before they come for it i would put mine down humanly and bury it so its body could not be used to support the regime. Kind of like destroying supplies during a retreat so the enemy can not use it.

This is a program from North Korea that the Biden-Harris ticket should embrace, as until all the dogs were eaten it would certainly lower the flatulence levels in cattle hanging amount waiting to be slaughtered! a “Green New Deal” objective, as who would eat a cow if they could eat a dog instead?

Years ago, while living south of Seoul, we bought a young dog in a small town animal shop. The shop had small and large animals as well as small and large birds. That dog moved back to the U.S. with us and lived in several states. He must have had some weird memories from puppy-hood because any time we brought home lamb chops or leg of lamb, he would run to the back bedroom and hide underneath the bed. By the way, eating dog in North and South Korea is quite common during the hottest summer months. It's considered especially good for restoring men's energy and virility.

Ya know, I think sending AOC and the squad to NK would solve a lot of their problems (and ours).
They would talk Rocket Man into submission or worse.
