John Kasich is an enlightened convert to the cause of Joe Biden's presidential campaign. Or the former Ohio GOP governor is an apostate Republican. That's how some Democrats and most Republicans are likely to view Kasich's convention speech at the virtual Democratic National Convention Monday night.“I’m a lifelong Republican, but that attachment holds second place to my responsibility to my country. That’s why I’ve chosen to appear at this convention. In normal times, something like this would probably never happen, but these are not normal times," said Kasich, 68.

FTA: "“Yes, there are areas where Joe and I absolutely disagree." I'd like to know what those two agree on, besides "I hate Trump."

I didn't realize "stalwart" was a synonym for "traitor" and "liar" among some other words that don't belong on this site.

I do not understand people like Kasich and Mitt Romney.
Many years ago I attended a gathering for Senator Jon Kyl, then, a congressman. Congressman Kyl touted his relationship with John Kasich. He said they could pick up a speech where the other one had left off. I thought highly of Kasich back then. Now, I'm completely confused.
I still like Kyl, although his relationship with Kasich and his support for Jeff Flake have left me mystified. Kyl, at least, is keeping his mouth shut.

He just a slimeball corrupt politician who was appointed to a bank board of directors for FAVORS he sold as Governor. He knows about as much about high finance as I do. It is only because of a media that call this rat a 'stalwart' Republican, that bought and paid for liars stay in office and come out of office RICH. I hate liars and would be bullies like Kasick, almost as much as I hate a lying media.

I have never liked or trusted Kasich, he sounded more like a democrat in 2016 and now proves he always was a democrat.

Repubs don't want him and dems will drop him once he is of no use to them too. Maybe he should become a mailman.

The people of Ohio should give Kasich the traitors welcome he deserves when he arrives home from his speech. Apparently his hate for Trump transcends the fact that Biden/Harris and the Democrats stand for everything that Kasich supposedly opposes.

His career as a national politician ended four years ago.
But he might have a shot at resurgence by running for mayor of Portland.
Or Seattle.
Any place that likes weak minded fools as leaders.

Before the 2016 Republican primary, I had heard the name John Kasich, and had heard descriptions that he was a decent guy.
Then somewhere along in the primary campaign I heard on the radio....Kasich being interviewed.... he was VERY rude to the interviewer, VERY pushy, I did not like his views on various aspects of Federal policy, or the language that he used.
Kasich has been high up on my 'Feces' list ever since.
I say....Put him in a room with the HildeBeast, lock the door..... then walk away and NEVER return!

Kasich was done in the Republican Party four years ago. He's now sold his soul and looking for a cabinet seat or other prominent position with the Dems.

He claims he has higher loyalty to the Country than to the Party. But why does he want to subject our great Republic to leftists who intend to complete BO's (and to be honest, a whole lot of other traitors and saboteurs) "fundamental transformation" of our country into a socialist hell? ...well, John?

Heard it all before: The end justfies the means: even riot, arson and looting is justified for the greater good of advancing the cause of minorities. Our ancestors summarized it: "The Path to Hell is paved with good intentions".

#16.you are right re him being rude to an interviewer..he came on a very, very popular conservative radio show..I can't remember just what the issue was(he was still Gov.)..but one of the hosts, said in a very nice way that something KASICK..said was not true!! WELL, mr. nice guy disappeared ..ZAP..and at the end of the segment...lots of comments about it...they never had him back on again, as far as I know...he is a prickly sob..always has been...he as anger issues...and he always looks like an unmade bed....
