Extending the popular Payroll Protection Program is one of the few areas of agreement between the White House and Democrats in the latest proposed coronavirus stimulus — a spending bill criticized by many in the Republican base as a wasteful bailout for cities and states.
Administration and banking industry sources say Senate Republicans‘ proposal to extend the PPP, which is set to expire this week, for companies with fewer than 300 employees and a reduction of 50% or more in revenue is accepted in principle in the talks.
But the provision, which also offers more generous terms for loan forgiveness,

Give them nothing!!! Are they crazy, a slush fund? The republicans would be just as crazy if they give it to them.

No. Giving money to failing democrat cities and states is rewarding bad, stupid and unlawful behavior. Let them stew in their own juices. Nancy Pelosi and Schmucky have been waiting for this moment to bail out their partners in crime.

PDT was entirely correct when he called for payroll tax reductions instead. What the demonrats are basically proposing is that we pay more taxes in order to get a check from the government. And we will pay more than the government will ever give to us.
Hubby and I got a stimulus check which was less than we were supposed to get according to the bill. I have no idea how the amount was determined. It arrived shortly after we had just sent a check for over $12,000 to the IRS, which was over and above the taxes taken out of hubby’s retirement and my quarterly estimated taxes. So we paid for our own stimulus check and it was a tiny fraction of what we had already paid in taxes. As Fingers Biden would say, BFD.

This kind of applies to this article about Marxists; don't get plussed by Trump saying that wearing a mask is patriotic. It's Trump. He's screwing with the Marxists and they'll probably fall for this atomic situp like they have for all the other ones.

Regarding stimulus money base pay or the Liberal strategy for a $15
minimum wage.
You do the math --- $600/week = 40 hours @ $15/hour. (well over the minimum
wage in all states). Even high priced New York is only $11.80/ hour.
So that is an automatic pay raise for all workers not returning to work!!!
Consider that a bonus in addition to their state unemployment.
No wonder people would rather sit back and accept the federal gift for doing
nothing.
I ask, will this force the employers to pay the $15/hour wage to get them
(and their fellow workers) back to work?
A 20-30% general wage increase will drive more jobs off shore. If the lower
wage employees get that raise the union employees will also get an increase
as their contract demands. As the labor content goes up so does the product
cost, and that is always passed on to the consumer. So the consumer -- guys,
that is us -- will be bearing the brunt for the foreseeable future.
We are paying workers not to work

I already knew why the aid package was stalled...the liberals/dems wanted more crap in the bill than just aid...I heard they want to extend 'red flag' laws to military among other crazy demands...they just never, never, never give up trying to advance their stupid anti-constitutional ideas.

The Dems may be greedy donkeys for sure, but their only objective is to make something that is so egregious that the other side CANNOT accept, thus they can ynah-ynah at President Trump all Sunday morning on talking head shows nobody watches.

Impress me by sending me back the taxes that I had forcibly taken out of my pay for this year, current and future. Again, I'll state, stop this covid nonsense and get things back to normal. STOP spending money we don't have to give you. A lousy $12,000 costs each of us about $40,000.

Trump should address the nation & outline what dems want & why we shouldn't bail out Blue cities & states.
Then demand Biden explain why we should.

So free and easy with our money. Don't forget aside from supporting cities who caused their own damage, Nancy wants to prop up the post office.Tell me what the richest woman in Congress knows about the average American or their needs?
Just praying it isn't $600 a week. In a low paying state like FL, they got more than they ever earned per week and have no intention of working. Many theme park workers still live at home with mommy. I see no need to give $500 per child to welfare mothers not working.
You can't believe how many new cars I see since the pandemic; most belonging to young people

Every retiree I know who got that "big" $1200 check immediately put it into their savings account. Another slush fund? The next one will go into savings too. Demonrats are noted for their slush fund but only for themselves so there's got to be a loophole where they can grab it for themselves.
