Chicago saw a dramatic increase in homicides and shootings in the first seven months of 2020 and a particularly remarkable increase in July, reflecting a growing trend in the U.S. that raised questions about potential police reform in major cities.Data released on Saturday showed that Chicago saw 440 homicides between January 2020 through the end of June, a 52 percent increase from the same time period last year (which saw 290 homicides). Shooting victims similarly increased by 51 percent (1,480 to 2,240) and shooting incidents themselves rose 47 percent (from 1,210 to 1,783).Crime tends to increase during summers, but recent events have fueled unrest in the U.S.

It's Trump's fault. Don't ask me to explain, Orange Man - BAD. It has nothing to do with rioters or mayhem or lack of police funding, all Orange Man's fault. - Lori

About time for that army of woke social workers to step in and stop the carnage if they dare.

Ya know that land that BO wants for his presidential center?
The land will be of greater value if the land is used as a cemetery for all the dead in Chicago.

The other day I read that if you are a resident of Chicago, under 50 years old, you are over 30% more likely to die of a gunshot wound than covid.

I don’t understand why the Black Lives Matter people aren’t living in Chicago and helping to stop all of the shootings.

What are the odds that all them NBA players kneeling for BLM aren't kneeling for the black lives killed in Chi town?

Yup, black lives sure do matter, don't they.

Someone made a comment that I hadn't noticed. Instead of homicides for the week, Chicago has only been reporting 'weekend' homicides.
How come gun controled cities have the most homicides ? Oh, never mind, we all know.

The Democrat cities' mayhem of Burning, Looting, and Murder have likely killed their economies. Same for countries that tolerate/encourage such. Who wants to visit/be a tourist in such places... a vacation to your own funeral.

Once in a while they shoot an innocent person and that is terrible, but in most cases they are shooting gang members and criminals and that aint all bad.

#BurnLootMurder and AntifasRFascist terrorism has convinced blacks that it's open season - you can get away with murder - literally - in Democrat-controlled areas.

It's not a "growing trend in the U.S." just in democrat-run major cities who have made it clear that they want no federal assistance, Just Send Money. My community had the same number of shootings this year as last year, Zero, and you would have to look hard to find a home without at least one gun in it. Lightfoot, Frey, Durkan, Wheeler, Bowser, Bottoms, de Blasio all are delusional BLM supporters who are looking for millions of dollars to rebuild the damage that they allowed their out-of-control savages to cause. We all understand what they mean by "transfer money to community services," the same old handouts that have been getting democrats elected for decades.

Mayor Light-in-the-bottom said it's because of all the guns coming in from states that have no 'background checks' or 'gun control'...and where pray would that be? You want up to the date stats, heyjackass.com has it all with a great breakdown of who shot who where, location and parts of the body included, and lots of other stats...check it out..

Being the worst mayor in the history of mayors, Lightfoot is possibly the worst administrator that has ever been elected to any position. She is so completely incompetent that all she can do is deflect blame away from herself. It looks like she intentionally is trying to destroy the city. How is that defunding the Police doing for you Lori? Keep up the good work, I'm sure that George Soros is proud of you.

More of the same will get us more of the same. The problem isn't too many guns, and the solution isn't more free stuff. If availability of guns was the cause of crime, places like Wyoming and Montana would have the highest crime rates.
No, the problem is RAT policies. More resources will make it worse.

Those black lives don't matter. Were they killed by cops? No? See. No problem.
Just bury them somewhere.
No Black Lives Matter except the 8 thus far this year who were killed in police custody. And they were supremely important.
Besides, we have already lost Seattle, Portland, and Minneapolis. Anarchy already reigns in those cities.
