The U.S. Postal Service is experiencing days-long backlogs of mail, sparking fears the problem could continue into November and affect the election. Additionally, an internal report from the postal service warned almost half the states are not providing adequate time for workers to deliver ballots ahead of the election. Several states affected are battleground ones that could decide if Donald Trump or Joe Biden is the next president and it's big cities—which are hot beds of Democratic voters—that will likely be most affected.(Snip) An internal report from the Postal Service warned there are 24 states with deadlines close enough

I check my mail by the trash can and don't even open the junk mail and throw the catalogs away at the same time. They have my permission to do the same and save themselves having to deliver it..........

It took the postal service 7 days to deliver a letter 90 miles down the road, then they put the letter in a neighbor's mailbox that was kind enough to walk it over and deliver it. The postal service is horrible in Houston, Texas. The delivery person seems to change every 2 months, and never seems to know the route. Everyone of the delivery people talk or text all day on their cellphones. I take my outgoing mail to a pickup box, because the delivery person is so unreliable that they may not pick up the outgoing mail for a week or more. Our delivery persons have been changed about every 2 months and have been of every ethnic group, sex, or other country, except while male, of which I have not seen one in 50 years. If anyone anywhere has seen or knows a white male mail carrier, please let me know. That is rarer than the dinosaurs.

This is election fodder for the democrats , the accusation will be that the Postmaster General is a Trump lackey appointed to slow down the mail.

Fking Brilliant....
We all know: it isn't the vote that counts, it's who counts the votes.
With the democrats push for mail in voting fraud:
Trump outfoxed them by controlling the mail....

Amazon already uses the Postal Service to deliver packages for them. FEDEX and UPS too, but they aren't capable of routine mail delivery. If they staffed up and invested in vehicles and facilities, they could do it cheaper. The USPS should be privatized, with no union allowed. Call it a National Defense issue, which it really is.

Right! It's the new postmaster's fault that a system that can't deliver mail to someone fifty miles away in less than three days is the problem.

Take this report with a grain of salt, as all this is coming from the Democrat run postal union.

Mail ??? is that like UPS and Amazon ? How about we have a national election via Amazon. You get 2 votes if you're on Prime.

Interesting development.
Shortly after POTUS suggested delaying the election - and of course the Democrats screamed bloody murder! No freaking way!! - the Democrats now have a reason to want to delay the election.

How about not having any regular mail be delivered for the week prior, and the week after the election date.
Don't have any interference of any "normal" mail, just let them ONLY handle mail for the election.
#1, I'm with you, they can simply stop delivering any of that junk mail, that I didn't ask for, or want.

I ordered some checks about a month ago. They did not show up in the amount of time they usually do. I called the bank a few days ago and they put a stop on them and re-ordered. They first order showed up yesterday and the new order today. They were in an envelope not packaged in a box and only a couple of books. I do not have enough faith in the postal service to vote by mail. The ballots would be coming in for six months or more and democrats always have a way of finding boxes in closets, trunks of cars and storage closets at airports. Except for absentee, it is imperative that people vote in person.

The new postmaster general is an outsider. She is not one of THEM that came up through the ranks of the U.S. Postal Service. We should al be thankful for that. Maybe she will clean up the system which has been long over due. I say cut the mail deliver down from 6 days a week to 3 days a week. I wouldn't miss it at all.

USPS is a cesspool of liberalism. I worked at a coding center back in 2001 and the propaganda they put out was stunning for a government agency I doubt it’s gotten any better since then.

A package of masks ordered through Amazon was from a provider in China (what else). After Amazon swore off it, the Chinese provider's website said it was handed to the USPS three months ago. It was delivered - yesterday!

Oh noes! My junk mail and dun letters for my dead mother and brother will be delayed? The only thing I look for in the USPS mail is an order from Amazon. 1-2-3 until the accusations that Trump is deliberately sabotaging the mail-in-ballot voting by not letting the USPS continue to run in the red.

If you mail something in Tucson. AZ to an address in Tucson, it goes to Phoenix for sorting and is then returned to Tucson for delivery. Absolutely ridiculous and time consuming.

It's a crapshoot as to whether routine pieces of mail will arrive on time, if at all. Now picture a sudden massive volume of mail, combined with the ease Democrats have in stealing or swapping out voting materials; Trump is right in dangling out an election date delay unless we can somehow confirm the validity of votes. (I'd do in-person only, with narrowly defined exceptions to include military personnel stationed overseas; too many dead people keep on voting because states can't be bothered to purge their voter rolls from time to time.)
