Sanctuary! Sanctuary! A struggling Manhattan church has been forced to block off the steps to its front door to keep homeless druggies from defiling the sacred space, The Post has learned. Prayers alone weren’t enough to protect the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Hell’s Kitchen from temporary residents of The Watson Hotel nearby, so a makeshift barricade built out of a clothes-drying rack and twine now bars the entrance to the house of God. “These people would come and crap all over the stairs!” an outraged church member said Wednesday.(Snip) The super, who gave his name as George, said the front door has to remain

Comments:

Three hundred people are homeless no more, and yet they trash the environment wherever they are, with feces, used syringes, beer and liquor bottles, and the rest of the accoutrements that are part and parcel of life in an open-air insane asylum. Local residents say the neighborhood is ruined, which is an end game of the Marxist social policies so beloved of New Yorkers.

This is New York City, not New Delhi. This is what happens when you elect "Progressives", Communists, cities turning into the third world. This was not tolerated under Rudy Giuliani.

Eventually everyone who pays taxes will leave. The city will no longer be able to suck off the taxpayer. NYC is collapsing and it will truly become “Escape From New York” thanks to the communist mayor and his cohorts.

At least they are crapping outside.. Pretty sure there is a fine for not cleaning up after your dog, but it appears there is no fine for not cleaning up after yourself.

The U.S. Postal Service is experiencing days-long backlogs of mail, sparking fears the problem could continue into November and affect the election. Additionally, an internal report from the postal service warned almost half the states are not providing adequate time for workers to deliver ballots ahead of the election. Several states affected are battleground ones that could decide if Donald Trump or Joe Biden is the next president and it's big cities—which are hot beds of Democratic voters—that will likely be most affected.(Snip) An internal report from the Postal Service warned there are 24 states with deadlines close enough

Bronx Zoo officials this week apologized for putting a central African man on display in the zoo’s Monkey House 114 years ago. The man, Ota Benga, was taken as a slave from his indigenous Mbuti people in the Congo and sold to an American man—who brought him to New York, where he was placed in the exhibition for 20 days in September 1906. Zoo officials on Wednesday described it as an act of “unconscionable racial intolerance.” “In the name of equality, transparency, and accountability, we must confront our organization’s historic role in promoting racial injustice as we advance our mission to save wildlife

Admiration for George W. Bush doesn’t win you much praise in today’s Republican Party, but I don’t care. On Thursday former President George W. Bush attended and delivered a speech at the late Congressman John Lewis’s funeral. George W. Bush had every reason not to attend Lewis’s funeral, let alone eulogize him. Lewis may have been a famed civil rights leader, but he was also a bitter partisan Democrat congressman, who boycotted both of Bush’s inaugurations. Bush barely mentioned the political division between him and Lewis. “John and I had our disagreements of course,” Bush said.

The court’s decision prolongs an already three-year legal battle between Flynn and Department of Justice that federal prosecutors asked to be closed with all charges dropped back in May. Federal District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan denied a request to immediately dismiss the case and instead brought in a retired judge to assess and potentially continue the prosecution. Oral arguments in the D.C. Circuit Court are scheduled for August 11.
