The grocery store chain Trader Joe’s will actually not be rebranding its international food products amid accusations that they promote racist stereotypes.Earlier this month, Trader Joe’s said that the ethnic names for its various products – Trader Giotto’s (Italian), Trader Ming’s (Chinese), Trader José (Mexican), and Trader Joe San (Japanese) – would be discontinued, asserting that such a decision had been in the works for several years.“While this approach to product naming may have been rooted in a lighthearted attempt at inclusiveness, we recognize that it may now have the opposite effect –

'We don't make decisions based on petitions.' It's about damn time! BLM has been paid millions in ransom money. How is that any different from the online ransomware attacks? We will lose EVERYTHING if we don't stand together and fight back.

Wait 5 days and the Twitter SJW mob will move on to some other target. The GOYA foods ''controversy'' is already forgotten.

Recognized that it may now have the affect of offending 1 percent of their customers and the other 99% actually have a sense of humor.

Well, good for them. Who managed to overrule their PC BLM black female head of whatever who was going along with this rubbish?
Founder Joe Coulombe, who didn’t have a racist bone in his body, was thumping around in his grave. These people have no sense of humor, no feeling for lightheartedness. Whimsy. TJ’s was all about whimsy. And successful because of it.

Any time you give in to the lie-beral hordes in any way, they will see it as a sign of weakness and not stop demanding more until they destroy you.
Trader Joe's just learned this the hard way. They should have told them to shove their complaints and "feelings", because there is absolutely nothing racist or evil about the names on these products. By even saying that they were considering changing some of them, The lie-berals will not stop attacking and demanding more, more, more...

Since the terms Italian or Mexican do not describe a race but nationalities, how can a Italian or Mexican name on a food package be termed as being racist?

The tweet at the end makes me feel bad for this woman. She must be miserable to be around. Imagine going through life where everything, even the packaging on egg rolls, is an attack born with the most evil of intentions: "The carefully-crafted facade of your friendly neighborhood hipster grocery store belies a darker image; one that romanticizes imperialism, fetishizes native cultures, and casually misappropriates."

Right, #10: nationalities or ethnicities. And you would never name a food product or anything else you want to sell including sports teams, with a name meant to demean or ridicule or condemn.
People are too quick to react, the old knee-jerkiness, rather than to take some time to think about what they ought to be thinking about. There would be a lot less noisome and hurtful noise out there. I like the verse from James 1:19 "...be slow to speak, quick to forgive, and slow to anger..." It's exhortative. It's hard.

Let's just settle this, EVERYTHING is RACIST to SOMEONE. Can we move on to intelligent discussions?

It's shocking that the "woke" knuckleheads who frequent Trader Joe's would buy such racially-offfensive trademarked goods. LOL! Even the name "Trader Joe" is under attack, somehow offensive to someone. Have at it!
