Country Without God

Throughout this time of leftist violence, churches around the country have been vandalized and statues of Christ and the Virgin Mary desecrated. In several instances – a church in New Haven, Connecticut, and a resort in Montana among them – the culprits left graffiti supporting anarchy and the Marxist group Black Lives Matter. Black Lives Matter leader Sean King has tweeted, “I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down. They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been.”Of course, leftism has always stood in opposition to religion.

When/if the time comes, I won't be turning the other cheek. This country is in dire need of an Old Testament remedy. I'll apologize to Him later. He'll understand.

I opened Lucianne this morning fully expecting to see a "must read" on the biggest news of the year. Supreme Court rules against the church in Nevada. Nothing!!! We are observing the dismantling of our Constitution. The First Amendment states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the FREE EXERCISE thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” That is unambiguous. If congress cannot do it, neither can a state legislature, a governor or a president. We are entering into 1984, just 36 years behind schedule!

In 2011 DC had an earthquake that cracked the Washington Monument. That was rather Biblical and it was interesting that it occurred during the Golden Pharaoh's reign. Then in 2015 the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage. In 5 short years look at all the wonderful things that have followed - gay marriage, library story hours using transvestites, a big push for gender reassignment of children. Now, we've got a loosely termed "plague" sweeping the land destroying the economy and bringing out the crazies. If these things are Biblical I don't know what is.

There has to be more for me than tax cuts and warmongering, and mixing politics and religion has always been a deadly combination - literally. I do not want to contemplate burnings at the stake, Inquisition torture, beheadings, and sexual repression from the right. Fundamentalist religion is as much of a turn-off for me as fundamentalist Prog-Lib-Socialism. And the fact is that the majority of religion is now totalitarian socialist. Conservatism has not delivered. If totalitarian socialism is to be removed as a mortal enemy of Freedom, the Forces of Freedom must accept that religion is not a part of the lives of a huge number of people who are otherwise supportive of the cause. Get beyond conservatism, and concentrate on crushing socialism.. Leave theological arguments out of it, or accept defeat .

Completing my thought at #8 (must have hit submit button while trying to correct mis- typing error). we have raised several generations of schoolchildren who are totally in the dark regarding a personal faith life and completely ignorant of their Constitutional guarantees. Is it any wonder our venerated institutions and civil society is falling apart? And that great experiment America was all for nought? it doesn't have to be that way, but when people decide they don't need God nor the life lessons taught in the Old Testament, that they are the law unto themselves, what can you expect?

More than 100 police agencies are withdrawing from agreements to send personnel to bolster security at next month's Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee, in part because they're concerned about a recent directive ordering police in the city to stop using tear gas to control crowds.A citizen oversight commission last week directed Milwaukee's police chief to publicly account for why the department used tear gas during protests in late May and early June after the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis and to change Milwaukee's police policies to ban the use of tear gas and pepper spray. The Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission said in its order that
