Seattle—The Seattle Police Department (SPD) said a group of around 150 people caused “massive amounts of property damage” on Capitol Hill Wednesday night. Police said the group broke windows, looted businesses, shot off fireworks and started fires. According to police, the group gathered in Cal Anderson Park around 9 p.m. and started roaming the neighborhood.(Snip) The group broke windows of businesses as they walked to the 1500 block of 11th Avenue. The SPD said people from the group broke into Rove Vintage on that block, taking merchandise and then setting it on fire in the middle of the street.

They will finish the job this weekend. Police as of last night have been neutered with no power to defend themselves thus there will be minimal resistance, this by order of City Council and a local Judge/. Thus, the mayhem has been scheduled to start tomorrow afternoon with the stated goal to burn it all. Why the AG can't arrest the City Council and Mayor for allowing this to happen is a mystery. Where is the FBI to arrest and prosecute those that are blatantly allowing this to happen?

FTA ... "If that continues I am not quite sure how much more we can take because we are not punching bags. We didn't sign up for this job to get hurt and maimed on a continued basis,” Solan said.
Then I guess you should retire without your fat pensions (that you apparently did sign up for) and call in the National Guard to put down a few hundred cute little Ninja boys.

Seattle continues to circle the bowl. I hope the government doesn't bother to send in the National Guard or any other federal peacekeepers.

Seattle isn't goiing to Hell. It's already there! Perhaps if our beyond stupid mayor has her house destroyed, her stance on these antifas might change. Although, she is pretty stupid.

2nd post. Yesterday, I had a doctor's appointment, not far from the riot zone, but one of their front doors was smashed in and replaced with plywood. My doctor, who is good also happens to be a democrat and still favors Biden. I kept my lips zipped. I saw a cartoon the other day. It has a doctor on it (a liberal). He says, "better be nice to me, one day I might be your doctor."

There will be more violence and destruction as it's key to perpetuating the fable of Trump jackboots instigating it. We are witnessing a national Tienanmen Square - antifa & anarchists are the tanks plowing down our civil rights with screams of racism until the epiphany that once they have come for all that You agree are the enemy, then they will come for You. We'll hope to be around to witness the moment when Queen Nasty Nancy & Cryin' Chuck get the guillotine by their own disciples.

When Trump offers to send Federal help, the Left screams "He's sending in his stormtroopers, his Brownshirts!" By the sound of things in Capitol Hill, the Brownshirts are already there-and enjoying th support of the local gvt.
And Trump is the bad guy? The local pols should all be arrested for fostering this environment of anarchy.

I never thought I would see the day when rioters could rampage with impunity and the cops would act like girly-boy victims. Of course you didn't sign up to get "hurt and maimed", you are supposed to use superior tactics and whatever force is necessary to neutralize the bad guys.

Dem- led cities have become dangerous, filthy and unlivable places! The dem pols have failed those whom they swore an oath to protect and they can't lie their way out of that fact! Who would now ever want to visit such trashed places, much less live there?!

I will be very interested to see voting results in November in these cities that have been torn by riots. There will always be the "useful idiots" but I think there are going to be plenty of others who are fed up with their lives, businesses and safety being destroyed by a party led by extremists. Although it does boggle my mind that anyone could still be a democrat at all. We'll see

Re: OP
"and the insurance companies will cover the damages".
In most cases, yes, but most policies have a deductible. $500, $1,000, $5,000. If these riots continue and multiple claims continually presented, the insurance companies will cancel and pull out of problem cities. Good luck finding other insurance at anything close to an affordable price. The other result will be businesses and residents closing and/or moving to safer places. There goes the tax base. The city "leaders" won't have to worry about de-funding the police. There won't be any money to fund anything.

I wonder if the businesses and residents like the media's favorite term..."mostly peaceful"?
I would be "mostly calm" as I loaded my gun to greet the rioters.

Whole Foods and Starbucks were also vandalized by the 150 or Peaceful Demonstrators, but they're OK with that as they are Marxists themselves, and the insurance companies will cover the damages. As usual, no arrests were made in the 2020 version of kristallnacht, because the city commissars want communism too.
