A TikTok video that recently went viral on social media showed a recent Harvard graduate threatening to stab anyone who said “all lives matter.” In her melodrama, she tried to sound intimidating with her histrionics. She won a huge audience as she intended. But her video also came to the attention of the company that was going to give her an internship later this summer, Deloitte, which decided it didn’t want to add an intern who threatened to kill strangers who said something she didn’t like. This wouldn’t have been much of a story. But then the narcissistic Harvard alum posted a very different video — one that

FTA - sheer genius... 'The woke but godless, the arrogant but ignorant, the violent but physically unimpressive, the degreed but poorly educated, the broke but acquisitive, the ambitious but stalled — these are history’s ingredients of riot and revolution.' Late to the party and appreciative of others' comments. I wasn't the first to notice that but for the big words and the length of it, Hanson's last phrase would make a great bumper sticker. ''The woke but godless, the arrogant but ignorant, the violent but physically unimpressive, the degreed but poorly educated, the broke but acquisitive, the ambitious but stalled — these are history’s ingredients of riot and revolution.'' I admit to some snickers just thinking of the degreed woke trying to Google what it all means.

And there is an added bonus if they keep this up: There doesn't have to be a massive resistance or retaliation. Just shoot one or two in each mob. The rest will fold.

FTA: "What turns off millions of Americans about the statue toppling, the looting, the threats and the screaming in the faces of police is the schizophrenic behavior of so many of the would-be revolutionaries." Au contraire, mon ami. This schizohrenia never occurs to those millions of Americans. They see the violence and associate that with one set of "activists". They see the others in their fetal positions and feel so sad for their condition brought on by the hatred that is all around them. Both sets are the spawn of America's coddled middle and working classes. Mom, maybe dad if there is one, understands...so do all her friends. And Oprah and Ellen and all the morning show casts...they all get "both sides" that people like VDH apparently can't understand. The classics and informed thought have no place in this. George Floyd and Rayshard Brooks are for many the Kent State of our times. In many ways these demonstrations are this generation's Woodstock, Selma and Chicago '68...and today's young will reminisce in future years the way the aged boomer hippies/yippies do today. And those curled up at home will speak of their empathy and support of this great social justice cause. Poor, poor kids...

Here's a suggestion that would greatly curtail these rioters. By definition, declare a masked mob of protesters is NOT peaceful. If you want to stomp down the streets screaming, confronting police and other citizens, you MUST do it as an exposed face citizen. If you then step out of line, you will be held accountable. These people are masked thugs trying to steal our Country and culture. Besides COVID, would you let a masked person into your house? Or a bank? Or a business? Or a government office?

Freshman GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw (Texas) took aim at Sen. President Trump on Friday commuted the sentence of longtime confidant Roger Stone after the former campaign adviser was sentenced to serve three years and four months in prison. The decision capped a saga that has roiled the Justice Department and divided some of the president’s advisers. Stone was set to report to prison on July 14, but his allies had lobbied for a pardon or a commutation, citing his risk of contracting coronavirus while in jail. The move Friday did not come as a surprise, as Trump had at various points in recent months signaled he was leaning toward intervening in Stone’s case.

The fate of the country hung in the balance. As contemporary historian John C.
