The perennially losing NFL team that uses a slur as its nickname will have its merchandise scrubbed from Amazon’s website, the online shopping giant said Wednesday. Amazon joins other retailers including Walmart and Target that have moved to drop products bearing the Washington franchise’s mascot.
The team said last week it would review its long-controversial moniker, an offensive term for Native Americans, after it came under fresh fire amid nationwide protests against racism. “With the announcement from the Washington team and the NFL, we are removing products with the team’s name and logo from our stores,” Amazon emailed sellers.

The NFL shares all merchandise revenue, so it's not going to crush the REDSKINS by stopping the selling of their stuff.

And the Native American's lot in life just improved dramatically. Wow that was easy, no more poverty utopia comes to the reservation.

They can drop all the merchandise that they want but since I dropped the NFL, it doesn't matter to me.

Bravo Foxtrot Delta. The team needs to sell its own merchandise direct, won’t be hard.

As a 50+ year Cowboys fan, I loved nothing more than hating the dreaded Redskins!!! That was a fun rivalry.
But then the entire Cowboys team kneeled on the 50 yard line in "solidarity" with the American hating racist thugs, and I turned off the TV and haven't watched a down of the NFL since then!!! And I never will again!!!
I never boycott anything. A boycott is a temporary stoppage of something. Once you lose me, I am gone for life. And I haven't missed the NFL for a second that whole time!!! So I really could care less what the spineless losers at Amazon sell or don't.

That sounds like bigotry! If you can't keep a black man or a transgender from using a se vice, you sure as hell can't deny a legal business.
I wish somebody in the redskin's management had the guts to sue them.

I may have posted this before, but I think they should not change their name so much as add to it. The new name would be: The Washington Redskins-But-At-Least-We-Don't-Quote-Adolf-Hitler.
Gotta love my NFC East rivals constantly stepping in dung. Go Big Blue!

If they refuse to sell it, I’ll counter by refusing to buy it.
And some Native Americans might sue over the insult of having their proud heritage being disparaged and thrown on the ash heap of human history,

The Gestapo-of-political-correctness has SPOKEN and Amazon is the LEAST likely entity to oppose the mob, nearly each of which lives in their mothers' basement. This INGRATEST generation seeks to rule the world in which others have actually achieved something of lasting value. Try imagining AntiFa and BLM landing on Omaha Beach.

Keep the name and appease any offended Native Americans by stating the team will share profits 50/50 with Native Americans. Not sure how they divvy it up between different tribes.

How can it be a "slur" if it was a term coined by native Americans to describe themselves?
Hey, I think it's time for the team to change it, just because it's not what anyone would name a team if they were naming it today, but to do it now would make them look like they're caving. Maybe choose a new name that strikes fear into people, like the "Washington Cancelers" or the "Washington Bureaucrats".

Why isn’t anyone going after Amazon to change its name? It’s offensive to women. Amazons were a race of warrior women in Greek mythology. Do members of the cancel culture even realize it refers to a separate race of women?

Amazon is controlled by Jeff Bezos. He may want to buy the team. What better way to drive down the price and force little Danny's hand?

The Redskins don't need a name change, they need an ownership change.

Marxists adore enormously powerful corporations because when brought to heel, they perform as a very effective cudgel to force the Change they so desire. We embrace mass surveillance, extreme political correctness, costly health insurance, "smart" utility meters, ethanol and other alternative energies, and countless other things because all alternatives are pulled from the shelves or made prohibitively expensive in the so-called Free Market.
