Bill Cosby citing systemic racism as
he fights sexual assault conviction

Bill Cosby is invoking the recent unrest and move for racial inequality in the appeal of his sexual assault conviction. The disgraced actor and comedian gave a testimony in 2005, in which he admitted that he gave Quaaludes to young women he wanted to have sex with, an admission that ultimately spurred the release of case files in 2015 to The Associated Press and aided in giving credibility to the #MeToo movement. For his conduct, which was described by U.S. District Judge Eduardo Robreno in June 2015 as “perhaps criminal,”

I agree with # 1. Just what is systemic racism. What is white privilege? The only privilege I have is what I worked for. Exactly how do we end racism? Seriously. How would that happen? How will we know when we've ended it. What is the end goal?

The left runs on style over substance , .emotion over fact. Optics over actions. They invent phases that have little or no actual truth to them . "white privilege". systemic racism, " no justice no peace". Question them and you're denigrated. The right has one phrase "Make America Great Again" say it or wear and and not only are you labeled a "racist" , you're likely to be beaten up.The left is big on violence against the right, not the other way around. They believe in tolerance as long as you agree with them. Truth is, they are everything they accuse everyone else of.

I agree with my fellow LDotters. Your clarity on issues is to be commended and it is without a hint of systemic racism. You cut to the facts, analyze them, and offer an opinion that is right on target. This is what sets conservative thought apart from democrat talking points. You bring substance to the analysis, not emotion. So grateful to Miss Lucianne for giving us the opportunity to share our comments, opinions and thoughts. Proud to be part of this group. A country steeped in "systemic racism" does not elect a (half) black president. You can't tell a kid he has no chance because the whites are holding him down, and then tell him he can be president. White supremacy racism (if it existed) just doesn't work that way. Why did so many people, of which I am one, love the man we thought Cosby was? The man was hugely successful. Not possible in a country that is overwhelmingly filled with white people that supposedly hate you.

This is laughable on so many levels. First, he confessed. That makes all of the ‘racist justice system’ arguments moot. He claims the prosecutor told him he would never be charged. That is judicial corruption that has nothing to do with race but was his assumption that money and fame would absolve him of accountability. Last, the biggest complaint other blacks have about him is that he blamed other blacks for their own failures. Too bad they don’t break this story down and teach it in school.

I am in no way trying to excuse this man for his horrendous crimes. But I do think the only reason that Bill Cosby was ever brought to justice was because he told the truth about what was happening in the Black community. When he started talking about the problems with Black families it was over for him. In the past Cosby was always sheltered by the media, the Democrats and even the feminists. If anyone never suffered from racism it was Bill Cosby.

This week the Supreme Court issued its final decisions of the 2020 term on cases about President Trump's tax returns. While the results of the decisions in Trump v. Mazars and Trump v. Vance were mixed, the narrative has been heavily saturated with arguments the rulings were about President Trump "not being above the law" and limiting executive power. But written clearly in the Mazars opinion, which was about whether congressional committees have the authority to access President Trump's personal financial records, it's clear the decision by the justices wasn't simply about limiting executive power, but also the power of Congress.

PHILADELPHIA — President Trump was the last line of defense between law-abiding people and a dangerous, left-wing mob intent on toppling statues and ripping the nation apart, according to Vice President Mike Pence. “When rioters were setting fire to one of the oldest churches in America and defacing our national monuments, Joe Biden sent out a press release. It’s clear that Joe Biden is showing signs of mental aging: his speech is garbled, his sentences diverge into asides without coherence, and his numbers and names are scrambled in laughable ways (“We have 120 million dead from COVID!” he informed Americans last month). Biden, who was first elected to the Senate 48 years ago, has been known for decades for his verbal gaffes. Democrats usually exploit this flaw to explain away their presidential candidate’s confused speech, claiming his lackluster abilities are evidence of a life-long quirk rather than a sign of cognitive decline. “It’s not a product of age; it’s just who he is,”

As street violence spikes in big cities across America run by Democrats, as parents grieve the loss of their children in the street gang wars, two things become terribly clear: The first is that Black Lives Matter isn’t promoting much, if any, public outrage at city halls run by Democratic Party mayors over urban street violence that is out of control. BLM isn’t a movement as much as it is a political and fundraising arm, founded by neo-Marxists, and currently aligned with the Democratic Party. BLM sees no percentage in pressuring big-city mayors to stop street violence.

As we have seen over the past week, the president is eager to frame this election as a war over the symbols, monuments and statues that celebrate America’s historic figures. Unity was the goal—unity in preserving our heritage and learning from it.” In the past, Trump has been able to stoke racial and cultural animus to his benefit.
